I hired Liberty Construction for a bathroom remodel and this crew from Liberty in Auburn lied about the install of mostly every aspect of the scope of work. After I caught contractor Jerris, contractor Jay and worker James in multiple lies I called the town hall building inspector Gary Allard to come down and inspect. After the building inspector Gary Allard inspected Liberty's work, the building inspector had Liberty Construction rip out everything down to the stud and start over again. This totally incompetent crew and liars were fired for shoddy work and trying to cover up the improperly installed scope of work. The team also took out a structural wall between my living room and dining room and put a lvl beam and added hardwood to the new area. The team was very professional and in good spirits. They retained all permits and worked with inspector at each step.Workers were very knowledgable and answered all questions. The job took slightly more time then quoted but all cost was covered by liberty. The team received 5 stars vs 4 stars due to team member John coming and doing all the finish work and making sure any questions or small finishing were completed above expectation. As I further spoke with Mike I became aware that a good friend uses his services regularly in his real estate business. I then spoke with Mike about a tileback splash in my kitchen. The job turned out exceptional. Mike listened to me and the finished job was done in a timely and professional manner. Mike quoted both the small tile job and backsplash job separately but we agreed on a price that was acceptable to both of us. Basically Mike gave a better price if he completed both jobs. Do not hire Elite Installations…read more Elite Installations was nothing short of a nightmare. After a flood in our home while we had a 21-month-old and a 6-week-old they appeared to be doing things correctly. We later realized that was only because we were stuck in a hotel and couldn't see the shortcuts they were taking. They took advantage of a young family, trying to get back in their home. Fast-forward a year, and the truth came out: - They put the wrong carpet in one of our rooms. I will blame postpartum fog for not saying something sooner. - They installed our toilet in blatant violation of MA plumbing code, it wasn't even secured to the floor. This is basic, entry-level competence they couldn't manage. - they installed hardwood floors that warped and when they replaced it with LVT, they dint remove all the hardwood and now 1.5 years later it's warping again. - They did multiple other things incorrectly, and after constantly following up with them for 5 months, they did ultimately fix them. Despite constantly hyping themselves up on Facebook and recommending themselves at every turn, our experience proved they are not honest, they cut corners whenever possible, and they absolutely do NOT stand behind their work once they're paid. Look up the reviews, look up the litigation against them (which are being added too regularly), our situation is unfortunately not unique. To be clear, I have given elite MULTIPLE opportunities to remedy these issues and they refuse. If you value your home, money, your time, or your sanity, stay far away from this company. They are the last people you want to trust with your home.
