Some of my favorites are the cotton candy (filled with real cotton candy!), creme brulee, and chocolate pistachio feuilletine. I wish I had found these in time for my wedding because these would have made such a special favor- I can see them also being great for bridal showers or special birthdays. As someone with a huge sweet tooth, these are really something special. The owner could not be nicer, either. Loved the slight heat the spicy mango gave, with the spice coming through right at the end of each bite. I thought the strawberry balsamic would be my least favorite, but it was so good. I liked how both had fruit pieces in them. I definitely plan to order more fudge from The Chocolatier's Palette in the near future. The chocolates I bought could have been found any place in D.C. and there was not much in the way of courtesy after spending $25! The place was NOT ACd and the owners (I was told) were off golfing some place.. Typical. This gourmet turned into a phone-booth, which in turn became a chat-shop, hiring fair and finally a lost corner storelet which bank-rolls some ritzy local couples' mid-week bonanza in other states.. Service was fast, but they forgot to package some of our chocolates. When we called about the issue, they did offer us a refund. On the other hand, the pricing of the pastries was astronomical. The one we bought (white rose) cost $18, when I've had a similar pastry in Arlington, VA that only cost $11. Taste-wise, it was fine. They also offer gelato and gift boxes, but we didn't buy any so I can't comment on them. The back of the shop is decently sized and has one or two tables for people to sit at, but the part of the shop that goes past the chocolate cases is very narrow. If somebody has a walker/wheelchair/stroller, or a group in front of you forms a cluster, you probably won't be able to move past them.

My favorite is the milk chocolate almond which is amazing, not overly sweet and high quality. The almond bark is definitely their best seller and my favorite and though the prices are a bit steep I always come here when I'm in Tyson's to treat myself because their chocolate is just really good. I tried some of their other options today, which was the strawberry white which was also really good and the limited edition popcorn, which was yummy and fun. The service here is friendly and the employees are nice, even when it does get packed on the weekends. They offer samples of their bars and truffles. I've had the truffles but the bars are definitely what makes them stand out to me. They also product Godiva's chocolate I believe which is probably why they taste similar. If you want delicious high quality chocolate, come to Laderach!
