I had the best experience at Priscilla's Salon, with Kristen Bird (listed as Kristen H. on their website). She is a magician when it comes to color, toning, and finding the perfect shade for your complexion. I recently made the transition from very dark brown to dark blonde seamlessly. She watched carefully as the color lifted from brown to orange to blonde, then toned it perfectly to the shade I was hoping for. The salon itself is very classy, wide open, and clean. I have been a client of Teri T. at Priscilla's for a very long time. I have to respond to the review Monica L. posted. I was there when Monica came in for the blowout. The desk scheduled her with Teri while my color was setting expecting that it would be a quick appointment. When I saw the amount of very long, thick, curly hair Teri's client had I was afraid I'd be sitting there for a very long time before that blowout would be finished. Teri tried her best to blowout the smooth style the client wanted but there was just TOO much hair and too little time scheduled to do it. Teri is an excellent stylist with a large clientele. This was the worst experience I have ever had!!!!! It's bad enough when your stylist cuts 8 inch layers in your hair and 3 inches off the bottom, with out asking you after you explicitly stated to only cut 1/4 inch off the bottom and not to change anything, but it's even worse when you call the manager and she tells you she will speak to the stylist and the owner, and never bothers! My hair was all one length, down to my bra strap. If you have ever tried to grow your hair out, you ladies know how upsetting it can be when someone takes the liberty to just cut it off! She continued to cut little pieces at a time, so I didn't realize how much she took off. And to cut layers into my hair without asking me. What was she doing???!! I was so in shock when I got up I didn't know what to say or do. I didn't want to make a scene, so I walked to the counter. I told the lady sitting there to look at the back of my hair. She said, "Oh, I love your layers." I said, "I didn't ask for layers. It was all one length, and I told my stylist three times to only cut 1/4 inch off and no more." I could not have been more clear! I tipped her, because I was still in shock. I left and went to look at a brighter mirror. I cried. It took me two years to grow it out and she cut it off without asking me. It was healthy and didn't need to be cut. It changed the entire look of my hair. When she was cutting I told her, "I have worked a long time growing my hair out, only cut 1/4 inch.".. She said, "Ok. I'm just doing some clean up.".. Clean up? I took a tape measure and measured the layers that she cut to my ear and they are 8 inches up my head! Why would a stylist do that to anyone? So I spoke to the manager, and I was going to give them a chance to help me out somehow. But after she apologized she informed me that they rent chairs out but would try to help me. No call back. That tells me this salon does not care about their customers at all. I have before and after pictures, and all my friends know how hard I worked to grow my hair out, not to mention all the products I use to keep it healthy. The stylist who worked on me.....or should I say f'd up my hair, left for 54 minutes while I had foils in my hair, after two other treatments that destroyed my hair....I could not find the person, but when I did...the person was tipsy, smelled of booze on the breath, and was a nasty ass when foils finally came out...what a disaster. Hair is damaged beyond repair. I spent 3 years growing it long. So disgusting. Oh wait...and the person yelled at ME for complaining..in front of other co workers and guests. Really? But, I send a blessing and a prayer to this person as perhaps they are in a bad place in their life..But, I now look like shit. So, I recommend NO ONE GO HERE. I received a gift card from my boss to get a custom facial here at Pricilla's which was a $90 value, I called after 9am which was when they opened and no one answered. I called 2 more times, left a message and they answered on the rd ring. I was a little annoyed at how many times I had to call them. I asked if they could split my gift card into an express facial which was $55 and a wax which was $15 instead and they told me that was perfectly fine. My appointment was scheduled for 10:45am and Kim the one who was supposed to do my facial didn't show up until 25 minutes after my appointment time. The receptionist let me sit there for 15 minutes texting on her personal cell phone at the front desk and never said a word to me about Kim not being there. I got up myself after waiting for so long and I was extremely irritated that she left me sitting there for so long and completely ignored the fact that I was. She was gossiping to the other receptionist about something while I was standing right in front of them and they didn't notice me. I told them I had been sitting there for so long and she said that there was nothing she could do because Kim receives the appointment times via text. I then asked for the owners name and number to call them and explain how unsatisfied I was with their staff. The receptionist told me the owners name and said that she could not give out the owners number, but she would leave mine for her to call me which I was totally fine with. The owner never called me. The receptionist then said that I could tell everything I just said to Kim when she got there because she was only 2 minutes away, like that's my responsibility! Well I waited for another 5 minutes before Kim showed up and she introduces herself as we proceed to the Estheticians room. For the first 5 minutes as I'm laying on the table she was on the iPad trying to turn on music... After I had already waited so long for her to get there! I was completely shocked at the customer service I received on my first visit to Pricilla's. Kim told me that she would push her next appointment time a little further so she could spend some extra time on me for being late. The facial I received from Kim was excellent. I was having breakouts and I would say Kim is the extraction Queen. She told me she specializes in acne facials. I would definitely go back to Kim for a facial because I was completely satisfied with that. But the level of service I received on my first visit to Pricilla's was completely unacceptable to me. read more

I've been coming to Priscilla's for a few years now and I have absolutely nothing to complain about. The staff is usually very nice and offers some coffee or water when ever I'm there, I've tried out two of the stylists and have had great experiences so far, and my stylist will text with me to see when I can come in.i have thick, wavey, and a bit fluffy hair that has given so many stylist in the past a hard time. Priscilla's has been the first and only place that has gotten it right. Of course not every stylist in the world is the best at every cut/color/style/hair type but they truly do an awesome job. If I've asked for just three inches trimmed then that's all that was snipped, and I'm sure we've all had that issues at least once if not many times. Miss Kasey has been taking care of me for a while and she's great! I've recommended this place to both family and friends and I have yet to hear a sour note. Thanks again! read more

Before I wrote this review I wanted to have a few haircuts to give an accurate and fair statement; All 3 of my haircuts have been with Kristen. First, she is a sweetheart, who is so kind and considerate of you, your time and really wants to understand the type of cut you want. She will repeatedly ask before cutting your hair, so there's no worry about getting your hair chopped off. I have short hair and it's difficult to find a great stylist who can cut short hair and make it look stylish and feminine! I've had 3 great experiences with Kristen and will continue to see her. Temple is the stylist that was recommended by my friend. BIG MISTAKE! She came off very kind and appeared to be experienced with the ombré look... Yeah right! I showed her a pic of what I wanted which was clearly a mix of copper, Carmel with a bit of auburn. She pretty much gave me a blonde ombré... Not even close to what I asked for. She asked me to come back so she can add some red tones to it. When I arrived and showed her the pic again, she stated, "this pic is filtered so that's not really her true color." Well you could have told be that yesterday before you decided to work on my hair and give me a completely different look than what I asked for! She stated she was confused with what I wanted and that I'm better off going to someone else. She wrote me a check for the money I paid her minus the color product. I asked her if she'd at least put my hair back to its original color on the top portion of my head and she said no! She knew I had a big event tonight! I'm very disappointed with Temple and I'd NEVER recommend her to anyone as she's clearly not about the customer. read more
