I have been coming to this salon to see Jen Gillespie, and followed her from her previous salon for the last 20 years. I don't trust anyone else with my hair! I have thick long hair that's naturally black, I love it to be as blonde as it will go! She's helped me maintain the health of my hair, and get me to the perfect shade of blonde. She does excellent hair cuts for men and women, works well with calyces (hair that's stubborn and retrains it) and layers! She has an eye for the best hair cut for your face. She is professional, hilarious and I look forward to seeing her and our therapy sessions. The salon itself is easy to find and locate, large parking lot, all of the other girls that work there are lovely. Such a great uplifting atmosphere! I had my hair done by Tiffany for about a year, as I though she was a pretty good colorist and hair cutter. For some reason, she apparently doesn't like me, and this last time I went in, she intentionally dyed my hair with an orange tint, the way she knows I don't like it. She also made some rude comments to me. I think she is very rude and unprofessional. Got one of the best haircuts of my life from Hannah today! I showed her a few photos, and she was able to execute exactly what I was looking for, which is a trait that can be rare in hairdressers in my experience. She took a few inches off but made a HUGE difference with the cut - as the photo can attest to. The salon has easy parking and the inside is very cute. I have been coming to Tiffany for many years and she is simply incredible. I am a natural redhead with curly hair and Tiffany was able to make me a "natural-looking" blond (even after another stylist somewleft my hair a bleached mess). Her technique blends the blond with my natural color so nicely that even when my roots are growing out it still looks beautiful. My husband, 16-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter also get their hair done at N-Style and all the stylists there do a excellent job! (Me = long, fine, thick, mildly textured/wavy hair) With my hair it's a hit or miss if the stylist nails it and after reading reviews I saw Drea is a curly girl herself and decided to go for it. It's true that she's great with cutting curly hair, and she's also a fantastic colorist. In my experience, it's rare to find a stylist that's strong in both areas, but Tiffany really is! Im a guy and I went to this place because I like a more styled approach to my hair that barbers can't give and I got Becky the first time and she was amazing, kind, gentle, and really wanted to know what I wanted and how I would like the experience to be and the haircut came out amazing!! But the second time I went, I got Lisa (since Becky wasn't available) and from the start Lisa had this face of distain when she saw me like if my kind wasn't welcome there at all. I sat down and I asked her questions like "how are you doing? :)" to try to get her to be more positive and open up, at least with me, but she was short and just in a horrible mood and didnt make me feel welcome at all. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she didn't bother to examine it or ask me questions about how it would be on me or anything. She glanced and said "okay.". I also told her I liked a more natural and longer look so usually I get a scissor-cut but she proceeds with a machine (specifically what I dont like about barbers) without asking for my preference. I wanted to correct her but her energy seemed like she just didn't enjoy my presence and I was too frightened to tell her what I preferred and almost felt like I was walking on eggshells during the whole visit. The haircut came out nothing like i expected, it was choppy, the sides of my hair are too short, the features are gone, and there is no length to my curls anymore which is the COMPLETE opposite of the photo example I showed her... I proceeded to pay $35 dollars for it and Becky only charged me $25 for such a higher quality standard of care. Usually I tip 60% to 80% tip but I still tipped $5 to Lisa because i'm not an asshole but I genuinely have never felt worse after a haircut experience and am very disappointed with my hair style :( read more

One of my favorite hair stylists, Timon Cana works one day a week here in the Santa Clarita Valley at N'Style. The rest of the time she's working at Giuseppe Franco Salon in Beverly Hills. So, today I went in to N'Style and got my hair cut. I wanted a layered mid-length cut, and my boyfriend needed some weight taken out of his 'fro, I'm happy with how she cut and styled my hair, and know I'll be able to work with it myself. Today was my first time here. Made an appt a week ago with a very nice receptionist who also gave me a reminder courtesy call yesterday. Super polite. Upon arrival, I checked in and waited for about 3 minutes before seeing my hairstylist Sam. The place was very clean and quaint. Loved the vibe. I asked for a hair cut with layers because I thought it would make my hair seem full from all the thinning and fallout I've had since having a child. Sam, very graciously gave me her input and we decided on a trim and very few layers without compromising too much of the length. I absolutely love my haircut. It may seem simple, but I've left in tears out of salons before because of how short my hair has been cut. Sam really listened to what I wanted and executed beautifully. I stopped by on Saturday because they were offering a power dose treatment and blow out with a $10 donation in conjunction with their efforts to help raise money for Breast Cancer research. Janelle was my stylist and she treated me like a princess. I wasn't given the shaft because I wasn't paying full price...if anything my hair was given an even more pampered prep. The power dose was wonderful (the wash bowl chair was a bit stiff) and the little head massage was just what the hair doctor ordered. Janelle made me laugh the entire time and I walked out looking like a L'Oreal ad. If this is the kind of experience I get for $10, I can't imagine how I would feel paying full price! The place is newly remodeled and right next to The Tea Gardens, so you can have a real Girl Gone Wild day if you desire! read more

I have been to N Style three times now. I've had a different stylist each time. They all give a decent hair cut, but I have never left feeling like I got exactly what I was looking for... I looooved my previous hairstylist in Arizona, and I just haven't found someone as good since. I got a color here for the first time yesterday. I wish I could have looked at some sort of sample set of colors to choose from... I had to explain as best as I could what I was going for, and then trust that she would make it happen. While the coloring job was good, it wasn't what I was looking for. How could it be? She would have to be a mind-reader to know the exact color I wanted. Also, the highlights are much more subtle than I had hoped for... The color doesn't really look that different than what I had before. I was hoping for a change, so that is a little bit of a bummer. The cut is fine. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. I think I just need to play with it a little to be more confident, but for now, I'm just not super thrilled with it. I'd like to try some other salons to see if I click with the stylists a little more. The customer service is pretty good, but this place is a little too expensive for the result. Its not outrageous or anything, but for that price I want to leave really feeling good about my new do. read more
