Our last pool service, Superior Pool, let our pool turn completely green. They were "treating" it for 3 weeks during the hottest time of the year. The problem was the actual work. I needed a heater repaired. Despite more than one visit, the technician was unable to fix it. On his first visit, he left debris on the ground next to the equipment. I noticed it but thought he may have just overlooked it. On a subsequent visit, he left the little control door on my pump open. Had it rained before I saw it, it may have damaged the pump. To add insult to injury, I foolishly agreed to a phosphate treatment that I was told was going to be three treatments followed by a filter cleaning each time. What actually happened ilia that he dumped in some "treatment" and left. That was it. The good news is that before I bought a new heater, which was the recommendation, I got a second opinion. This other guy came out and worked on it. He said he needed to order a part and he would be back. After he installed the part, the heater was working again and hasn't had a problem.

I agree Alex was very kind and spent his time attempting to fix the issue. For that reason you can…read morekeep the diagnostic fee to cover his time and effort. However your excuse of being unable to fix the issue is insufficient. On the initial service it was clearly stated which parts were replaced and the reasoning was communicated to the serviceman. If anything it should've helped the diagnosis as the heater had multiple problems that I replaced. Jandy did not troubleshoot with the technician during the visit. The service call went past 5 and the technician said they were closed. He said he would email them and get back to me which he didn't until I reached out to him. Transformer was melted and shorted the board which was replaced. Igniter and sensor was broken and was replaced. I don't think replacing these obvious issues should throw off your diagnostics. If anything if these things weren't replaced it would've caused a longer diagnostic process, multiple service calls and delay waiting for parts. It got to a point where I ran out of ideas and that's why I relied on your 15 years of expertise and was disappointed with the outcome, especially since the issue was something fixable
