Went searching for a new dentist and saw the positive reviews for Pristine Dental so I decided to call and make an appointment. Initial exam and cleaning was covered completely by my insurance, (Delta Dental) and the hygienist, Jessica, did a fantastic job using the dental scraper/ tools like old school instead of the machine. Totally could feel the difference. The exam by Dr. Patel went smoothly and he recommended a dental implant for a missing tooth that I have neglected due to price and other considerations. After discussing the procedure and the pricing, I was convinced and chose to start the process later this year which takes about 6 months. I don't like writing poor reviews but people considering this dentist need to be cautioned. I recently moved to the area and needed a new dentist. My cleaning went fine and the office staff was friendly. They took x-rays and Dr. Patel told me shocking news; I had FIVE cavities and was going to need fillings on all of them. I immediately became suspect as I've only had two cavities in my entire 30 years of life, I go to the dentist every six months, get x-rays once a year, and all of a sudden I have five cavities? I wasn't buying it and I think the dentist could tell as he asked me "So how do you feel about that?" as if he expected a different kind of reaction. I wanted to do my due diligence so I got a second opinion from a different dentist. He reviewed the x-rays sent over from Pristine Dental and also examined my teeth. He explained that some dentists may give more aggressive treatment plans than others. However, he was having a hard time finding even ONE tooth where I needed a filling as he could not find any cavities. Shocking but not surprising as I knew this in my gut already. Thank goodness that I had the wherewithal to question Dr. Patels treatment plan as I would have wasted hundreds of dollars and ruined my teeth if I would have followed it. It's extremely disappointing that I was targeted like this just so someone could have some extra cash in their pocket. Please be careful. If your treatment plan sounds outrageous, it's probably because it is. read more

It seems that all they care is money, every single time I was having appointments, they charge for the minimum thing even if was not necessary for my dental healt, I still don't know why a simple deep cleaning has to be in 3 session , every session was only 15 minutes when another clinics they dane it to me in one session, I assuming because they charge me money every session, they try to charge me one appointment for not showing, when i never had an appointment scheduled ($50) I refuse to pay and they agreed that was a mistake, well i see this clinic as a thieves on every sense read more

I had the pleasure of the presence of dentist Jean (may have forgot his last name, sorry) but oh my goodness he was amazing... i have not laughed that hard in awhile! he was so very honest and open! i am very nervous in dentist offices just because of past trauma..but he def calmed my nerves and was very gentle. About six years ago I received a dental implant from Dr. Patel. I've gone to other dental offices or have had wisdom teeth removals and always get compliments on how well the implant was executed!! He couldn't finish the root canal , broke my other tooth and still tried to charge me for 1300 dollars!!! I started asking why Im getting charged when he broke my tooth off and couldn't complete the work!! THEY CHARGED ME BEFORE I EVEN SIGNED ANYTHING!!! I recently moved to the Oakley area and was looking for a new dentist office. Giving them a shot was the best choice I could've made. Not only are the front desk girls professional and very sweet but Dr. Patel is quick, gentle, and made me feel comfortable. I went in for a total of 7 fillings (3 1st visit, and 4 2nd visit) and the time flew by. Before they got to work they offered me blankets, something to drink, and let me choose from my favorite Disney movies to watch as I was getting the work done. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who's new to the area or worrisome about going to the dentist since they're so accommodating and make sure you're not in pain. 10/10. read more

If you're looking for a dentist, this is the place! The women in the front are so nice and understanding. Not only that but when you have emergencies or last minute needed appointments, they really do their best to try to fit you in which is really amazing.
