I just had the greatest dental appointment ever, are words nobody thought would ever be strung together, but it's true. I had Sheila as my hygienist (second time with her) and she's very friendly and has been 2-for-2 in being very gentle and quick with her work. She was joking with me and making me feel very at ease. I like how she was describing her work and procedures and offering tips on brushing, etc. It was fun, informative and thorough. Then the dentist showed up and she was just as great or even better. She reviewed my x-rays and engaged with me personally and professionally. I actually found this office because I followed the dentist specifically from the practice she used to work at. This business is hers (and her husband). All of the staff made a point of calling me by name (keep in mind this is like my 4th ever visit here). I can't say enough great things about Dr. Ashley Koppel and her office. I wasn't even an established patient, but I was in severe dental pain and didn't know where to turn. Dr. Koppel personally took the time to call me herself, listened with care and urgency, and immediately sent in a prescription to help relieve the pain. That level of compassion and dedication is incredibly rare. She went out of her way to help someone who wasn't even her patient, and it truly made a huge difference for me. I'm usually very nervous before dental visits, but the office felt different to me. I wasn't disappointed after my cleaning! My friend Kari suggested I try out this office. Sheila cleaned my teeth. It was a really fun experience. She was patient, kind, and appeared to be hard working. In my opinion, she truly had my best interest at heart. When I left the office, two young women helped me out. First, I'd like to say that I was not asked or incentivized to leave a review. IMO there is nothing wrong with asking for customers/patients to share their honest feedback to help improve their business. I was referred by my Endodontist after receiving great care and asking for a referral to a team they trust. I continued to do research for several months thereafter before establishing care with Pristine Dentistry. I've had plenty of work done from other practices (primarily chains) where I did not feel I received quality care or work, and in some cases, maybe had unnecessary work which has left me with a lot of maintenance. The office itself is very clean, organized, and amenities were offered to help me feel more comfortable. Scheduling was easy and with a reasonable wait time. I was even able to get on a wait list and eventually moved up to a sooner appt day/time which was great for what I needed done. During my evaluation I felt the team was very transparent with their suggested plan. After looking at X-rays and based on current tooth complaints, I was in line with the plan and felt the price was reasonable. My cleaning seemed thorough as well. Today, I received a crown on a tooth that has continued to bother me (previous practice didn't address it as they should have), and am overall extremely happy with my experience. Each team member walked me through the process and made sure I was comfortable during the procedure. I deal with anxiety so this is extremely important to me. I was also so happy to see the team working well together and were very respectful of each other. They worked efficiently and cohesively. I never felt a sense of stress or rushing which was all too common in my previous experience. Thank you Dr. Ashley, Ivan, Matt, Marcia, and Kathie being so personable! We're new to the area and had to look for a new dentist and came across Dr. Guidera and Drs. Koppels office and decided to take a chance on them! SO GLAD I did! The staff here is great! Marsha was such a great hygienist and was super informative on what she was doing while she was cleaning my teeth. This was soooo good for me since I can sometimes be a little bit of a chicken when it comes to the dentists. Dr. Ashley was also great at explaining what she recommended, the procedure, what's covered and not covered insurance wise. Elizabeth at the front desk also helped me so kindly and got me the right paperwork and pointed me to the right direction of what to ask my insurance in case I ever needed help with that! The Koppel's taking over this dentist office was a great choice by Dr. Guidera and I'm glad they're keeping the same staff! I will say every office has good and bad days, patients that are difficult and I heard one over the phone and the staff handled her very professionally while talking to her. That's good etiquette! I had been a patient of Dr. Guidera since I was a kid, along with my mom and my grandparents. Since Dr. Guidera hand-picked the Koppels, I felt comfortable in placing my trust in them for something that was pretty nerve-wracking to me: filling my first cavity! In my 29 years, I had never had a cavity so it was definitely something I had built up in my mind to be super scary. Matt had a great sense of humor which kept me at ease. He talked me through every step he was taking and when Ashley came into the room to administer the novacaine, the part I was most nervous about, they both did their absolute best to make me feel comfortable and ensure I couldn't feel a thing. I couldn't be more grateful for this excellent team and the same continued honesty I came to expect with Dr. Guidera. I stick to a regular 6-month cleaning schedule and they found my cavity in my first cleaning with the Koppels in charge. They made sure to show me multiple photos of the little cavity they found and I'm glad they brought it to my attention before it became any sort of problem.
