They were even pressuring me to act and move on this which I found disgusting. I have Delta Insurance who claimed this is the only provider that I could use in my area. I'll be canceling Delta Dental and won't be going to Quarry Creek again.

They have verbally changed the course of the treatment three times but only verbally never in writing as I finally requested. I just don't recommend them. I've had many dentists in the past, but I've never had a pleasant experience. After years of avoiding of the dentist, I knew it was time I had to go to see a dentist since I cracked a molar. I was referred to Dr. Duenes by my fiancé and my cousin who have been his patients since they were kids. The receptionist, Maribel, has been very sweet and super helpful with scheduling my calls and handling my insurance! I've met both Jose Duenes and Angela Duenes and made sure I was taken cared of, they educated me about my oral health, while being so gentle, kind, and patient which helped my anxiety! When I had to get my fillings/cavities fixed, Dr. Duenes was the best as I did not feel pain from the needle to numb my mouth (getting numb always hurt and I would always feel the needle from last dentists, but not from Dr. Duenes). I was pleasantly surprised afterwards and I actually don't feel scared of going to the dentist anymore! We got a second opinion, and another dentist told us that level of treatment is highly unusual for a child this age. That was a huge red flag. They were the great staff who got me through my extractions. They called the afternoon of my surgery and gave me suggestions to keep pain-free! Great team! Great doctor! It wasn't a 5 star experience and I wish I had gone somewhere else. My nerves on the right side of my chin were damaged from the wisdom tooth extraction and it's been more than 3 years now. It feels like a spot on my chin is still under anesthesia. Slowly I just got used to it and I don't even notice it now until I think about it. I'm not sure if there's any operational error or nerve damage is just part of the risk of such a surgery, because someone I know who went to another surgeon also had nerve damage in her tongue. Wisdom tooth extraction definitely involves risks because it's actually a major surgery. Spend time to do some extensive research to find a highly rated doctor before it becomes an urgency! Besides that, things went okay. I had general anesthesia and went to sleep in 10 seconds, and woke up right after the surgery was done. My wounds healed very well with no complication. The pain was very manageable that I didn't even need the prescribed 500mg ibuprofen. My recovery process went well. So, I can't say if it's the doctor's fault really. But having nerve damage definitely would not make this a 5 star experience lol. I'm sorry if you happen to have nerve damage. It can be scary at first, but our brains do an amazing job to tune it out. I don't notice it's there anymore until I actively think about it! I don't wish this on anyone but if it happens it's not the end of the world! :-)

I have seen many dentist in my life with hopes of some improvement. As I have aged, my concern has also included the declining health of my teeth. I was experiencing great discomfort and had fear I would be loosing my teeth. Then I met Dr. Tori McRae. She confirmed what I always knew, my teeth were in very poor condition, not only their appearance but their health. It was clear my teeth were deteriorating. Rather than turn me away, Dr. McRae immediately accepted the challenge and created Several treatment options for me to consider, explaining each one in great detail. Everything seemed fine at first, but over time, I noticed my teeth were moving very slowly. At one point, my parents scheduled me for a cleaning at The Super Dentists across the street. Since I was a first-time patient there, they asked about my dental history. When I told them how long I had been wearing braces, they were surprised--by that point, my teeth should have made much more progress. My mom decided to have them take a closer look, and that's when we realized that Dr. Vazquez was a general dentist, not an orthodontist. Because of this, I had to get my braces completely removed and redone by an actual orthodontist, which meant I had to wear them for even longer than necessary. While Dr. Vazquez's general dental services were fine, this situation was frustrating and felt like a huge waste of time & MONEY If you're looking for routine dental care, he might be okay, but if you need orthodontic treatment, I highly recommend going to a specialist from the start.
