Really wonderful dental team!! Everyone here is so fantastic and really makes you feel at ease. I can honestly say you can tell that everyone here genuinely cares about the patients and wants to deliver excellent care. I've always had an enormous amount of dental anxiety that led me to avoid getting necessary work done for a long time, but when I finally decided it was time they all went above and beyond to make sure I got the best care. The Dentistry 2000 team also made a noticeable effort to make sure I got my (not insignificant) amount of work all done in time for my wedding so I was able to walk down the aisle with a wonderful smile and no dental issues! I went here once for a general cleaning. The receptionist was very friendly and professional. The hygienist I had, however, felt inexperienced compared to all my previous dental experiences in my life. Normally the cleaning takes the majority of my 1-hour appointment, but this time I felt like she spent maybe 10 minutes quickly scraping my teeth, but it felt like she did not get in there and really clean out all the plaque and do a proper cleaning. For that reason alone I don't want to come back because that is the main thing a dentist is supposed to do for you. Other than that, I felt like they were just trying to get money out of me. I've never had a cavity in my life and this time they wanted to fill a cavity and sell me a night guard. I don't trust this dentist based on all my prior experience with other higher quality ones. Just my perspective and feeling, but I will not be coming back. I'm surprised to feel so differently from all the other positive reviews here, but I have to trust my gut. read more

I haven't liked going to the dentist for a good part of my life. The staff's efforts to provide professional and empathetic care has really helped me be be comfortable with addressing my dental care. I have gotten a deep cleaning, new crown, and a general cleaning. From entering the reception team has always made me feel comfortable welcomed. *(Rare in a doctor's office in my opinion. Shout out to Senae for how she presents herself to customers.) There are simple things such as asking, "Are you doing okay?" from Dr. A. during a procedure. To the staff providing detail on what they are about to do so you are comfortable and aren't caught off guard (Thanks Martin) are much appreciated observations and why I will keep coming back here. read more

I thought about this quite a while before I decided to make a complaint. I went in just for a consultation to see if I wanted to change the location to be closer to my home I am 82 years old. I came in to discuss my changing dentist. I met the office manager and we discussed the fact that I was looking for a dentist closer to my home and I only had to pay the deductible and for a few small things done with my teeth nothing major in the past. So they put me in the chair and the dentist introduced himself and had me sign a paper for him working on my mouth and evidently the dentist had plenty of time. I had x-rays he said I needed a crown replaced told me my options And started working on my getting a crown. He measured me for a new crown said I needed a mouthguard, so I allowed to have the technician fit me for a mouthguard which doesn't really fit properly and I complained about that and the office manager made out a check for $300. That was a difference from the cost of the mouthguard $700. What a rip off. I think there may have been a communication issue between the office manager she must not have told him it was a consultation. So I came home and called Delta Dental and they gave me my options and to do a dispute with my credit card and they did a report also. Later I went down and picked up my $300 check and the dentist came out to the counter and started screaming at me how I wasted his office managers time. I could've made a dispute because I had gone home and, got all the information from all the different companies that would protect me, but I felt it was my fault for allowing him to trick me because he didn't give me time to think about it and insisted before I leave that I pay for the services. Now here it is a month or so later I see an advertisement in my local 55+ community magazine for this dental office. Beware I believe this could be an establishment that has a practice of taking advantage of elderly people. It did not settle well with me for I just woke up thinking about this at 4:30 AM in the morning and thought that I needed to warn people to be careful of this establishment. I sent the office manager an email because she was very personable when I went and told her I was sorry because she was pregnant and shouldn't be under such stress at least that's what I thought and I told her I thought that she should find a better place to work that she was good at what she did, but I think she did not communicate with the dentist that I was coming in just for a consultation. I was expecting to go home and have time to think about it, but they just ramrod me in there before I knew it, I had a bill for $1400 that I was required to pay before I left. So I paid with my credit card. I'll take some responsibility for this because I was under the impression that the office manager was going to check on the insurance because we had discussed that previously, I had told her that I didn't wanna pay for anything that the insurance didn't cover. I have never had to pay upfront and that's what didn't settle well with me and why I pursued going to Delta Dental and my credit card company. The technician cleaned my teeth that I had cleaned previously to months earlier and the insurance didn't pay for that and the office manager didn't do her job correctly. This may have been a long review just beware there's plenty of dentist in the area. I would not recommend going to one that had a bad review. read more

Dr. Assadian is an amazing dentist, I've been going to him for two years, and always had great experiences with him. After every visit, he always calls to check in and make sure I am doing good, which I've never seen any other dentist do. He never upsells services or pushes products. He will recommend things that you NEED and you have the right to refuse any service you don't want. I once went in for gum pain, he took few x-rays and did an exam, and did not charge me! He genuinely cares for his patients and I am so happy I found him when I moved to Carlsbad. He also fixed a molar that has been bringing me pain for years, and after he put in a crown, all my pain disappeared. Highly recommend anyone to go to Dr. A! I have Covered California and they take my insurance; their prices are very reasonable and they take Care Credit if you need to use that. Lets start with the FACT: I have a SEVERE dental phobia. That means that I am not the person who will schedule every 6 months like I should. So I have been really evading the dentist. My experience at this place is the equivalent of the most amazing place I have been to. You see Dr. A is just so kind and patient while being straight forward and assertive. His staff is exceptional. Now I needed some work done so yeah I cried from own anxiety not from anything they did. As a matter of FACT, when I returned for a followup I walked in confident. Took me a while to write this because my experience here made me really embarrassed and uncomfortable for quite a while and I finally went to a new dentist and have something to compare it to. I'll start by saying- All the staff was great and friendly, environment was good- But then the dentist came in and blew up my x rays and some close up photos of my teeth on the whole wall at my feet via a projector. From here he pointed out everything wrong in a disappointed tone, asked me if I swish energy drinks around in my mouth, and even bopped me on my head with his hand... like he actually lightly hit me on my head in disappointment... Tears started rolling down my face out of embarrassment, and he told me to stop crying and promptly ended our visit and sent me on my way with a list of things he wanted to do to my mouth with out much explanation. ***He should not be touching anyone in anyway besides what's called for with dental work.*** Also, I'm allergic to mint and asked if they had a recommendation for a good non-minty tooth paste and they told no.. not even "I'll look into it and let you know". Never heard from that office after that visit. I would not go here if you have any dental anxiety or embarrassment. This dentist also shoved his fingers in my ears with out telling me (never had this happen before), apparently he was checking me for TMJ and he let me know I needed a mouth guard and I would need to buy it from him. New dentist did not agree. He also tried to convince me I needed a laser teeth cleaning, I opted for the regular bc it was so expensive. No mention of laser teeth cleaning at new dentist. I finally worked up the courage to go to a new dentist this month (November) and there was no guilt tripping, no bopping on the head (or any physical contact for that matter besides dental related), and the techs were able to look up a toothpaste I could use that worked well and I wouldn't have an allergic reaction to. Don't come here if you're sensitive AT ALL or have an embarrassment regarding you teeth. This dentist was unprofessional and rude- he should not be "bopping" people on the head, i was not comfortable with that. read more

I went in for my first time today and I had a great experience so I decided to share. It's been a while since I went to the dentist (face palm), but everyone there was so nice- the front desk staff, the dental assistant, and the dentist. They took time with me, didn't feel rushed at all. The equipment seems more up to date than most days (like the X-ray machine for example- it took like ten seconds). Lastly, the doctor called to check in to see how I was feeling because i had some work done and he was following up. Super thoughtful! Sending my husband in next, but I definitely would recommend this place if you're looking for a new dentist. read more

Dentistry 2000, I'm 74 years old and just had two crowns installed. The procedure was a little more difficult as I also have a partial plate that was involved with both new crowns. Dr. Assadian and staff did a fine job removing my old cracked fillings, making teeth impressions and temporary caps. The new crowns were ready and installed in one week. The fun began with my partial not fitting well with the crowns. However with the help of Martin, Dr. Assadian was able to adjust the crowns to a good fit with my partial. Overall I really like Dentistry 2000 as the entire staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Assadian goes the extra mile by making sure I am comfortable when I'm there and he makes a point to call me to check up how I'm doing after a visit that involved dental work. read more

Overall, I felt like this clinic was trying to scam me. This was my visit about a year ago. I made appointment, went in and told them I want to do a cleaning. They go on to quote me for more than $1000 worth of work. I told them that I only wanted to do the standard cleaning, and they said they don't do "standard cleanings," and they use some high frequency machine that would cost me $60 out of pocket. I told them that I was going to pass and was about to leave, they say that they can do a cleaning for me and as a "special service," they'll waive the out of pocket. I thank them and get the cleaning, and guess what...it's just a standard cleaning, just like every other cleanings I've been getting at every other dentists and never had to pay any out of pocket. Also, this clinic does not have separate rooms, it's almost like one large space with partitions. read more

I came in as a new patient looking to get a dental cleaning. I was met with life changing advice regarding TMJ. The staff showed me visuals of what was going on with TMJ and what can happen long term. I had a light procedure done to prevent tooth decay from TMJ and was recommended to wear a mouth guard at night. Prior, I had a mouthguard at home but didn't receive much information on how to alternate it with my retainers(so I didn't use the mouthguard much). The staff provided me clarification on when to use the retainer and night guard. I can confirm that I no longer wake up with neck pain and headaches since using my night guard as instructed by the staffs advice. I've had my best dentist experience at this office by far. The staff is always kind and welcoming. Dr. Assadian is also a very caring provider. I've had a lot of procedures done and the whole team has always made me feel cared for. They always go above and beyond dental care. For example: they have given me yogurt before getting numbed because I missed breakfast, and they even put Vaseline on my lips so they don't crack. I was referred to Dr Assadian by a mutual friend and couldn't be more pleased. He is kind, gentle, and skilled. His office staff is personable and competent. I've been a patient for two years and, up until recently, only had routine care. However, I got to experience Dr Assadian during an acute dental issue the past two weeks and he was fantastic. They fit me in quickly, diagnosed my issue, got me an appointment with an endodontist for a root canal, and then replaced the damaged crown quickly. I had recently enrolled into my job's dental plan and while looking through the list of providers I had stumbled upon Dentistry 2000. I looked through their reviews on Yelp and decided to give them a shot - and I'm so happy I did. This was one of the best experiences I have had at any dental office. Dr. Assadian and his staff were personable and informative. Unlike the other reviews I did not feel pressured to do or accept certain procedures that I did not want to take. I had gone to previous dental appointments in the past with other dental offices and when I would ask about certain problems I had with my teeth I felt like they pushed them under the rug and provided me with false or quick answers however, Dr. Assadian made sure to address those issues and inform me what the root causes were and I felt a sense of relief that I was finally given actual answers to my questions. My wife and I have gone here together twice and while we felt the staff and Dr. Assadian were very personable (he loves to gently bop you on the head for not flossing), we couldn't help but feel like we were getting ripped off. In our opinion, Dr. Assadian and his staff were VERY quick to upsell on procedures. They take images of your teeth first, and put the images in front of you on a large monitor. Any minor issue is now a huge unsightly one staring you in the face. After examining my wife's teeth and finding no major issues, they told her that she NEEDED to do a deep cleaning. After examining my teeth and finding issues, there was not even a mention of deep cleaning. Why? Because they had something else to sell me. Dr. Assadian, decided that I needed a crown and when I pushed back, he pushed back, he's the expert, right? After doing independent research after leaving, I realized that the crown wasn't actually necessary. The crown has been annoying to maintain, you can't floss the same way and it's hard to keep it clean. It's already hard enough to avoid putting off dentist visits, and while the process of seeing Dr. Assadian was physically more comfortable, it left me viewing dentists totally differently. Dr. Assadian is just as much a sly salesman as he is a dentist. read more

COVID precautions: office was very clean. Dentist and his team wore masks and face shields. Masks and temperature checks are required upon entry. All chairs and commonly touched areas (door handles, light switches, handheld mirrors, etc.) were covered by plastic. I've had negative experiences with dental clinics-- anxiety, upselling, discomfort, you name it. I expressed with Dr. Assadian's team my worries and they were very comforting. They were patient and explained things well and repeatedly. Dr. Assadian and his assistant gave me breaks between procedures, Vaseline (dry lips), and constantly asked me "are you okay? How are you doing?" Hours after I've left the office, Dr. Assadian personally called to check in on me. No dentist has ever done that before and I greatly appreciated that.
