Our experience here was very quick and we referred to a pediatric specialist. I will say the entire staff was just amazing, They got us in immediately with an eye injury. He was treated with eyedrop's to help with the pain and inflammation, and referred to a pediatric specialist. we learned something very important, if you have an eye injury, go see an eye specialist. Don't go to the ER or urgent care, get yourself into an optometrist or ophthalmologist. This is what they do! You might think that would be the end of it, but the doctor called us after we saw the specialist to check up on my son. That kind of attention to detail and care definitely warrants a return visit when it is time for his annual eye exams. We will be back! read more

These guys are great! The whole team is very friendly and accommodating. I had an eye injury and they were able to get me an appointment right away. Doctor Saboo was so kind and reassuring as well as very thorough in her exam. She was able to diagnose my symptoms and get me on my way to healing my injury. The team was also very patient and accommodating with trying to get my prescription filled, which was a little difficult since I live in a rural area. If you want to feel as if you're about to steal some frames then this is the place for you. As I walked in there were 4 associates behind the desk talking and working, so I stood there for a minute with no one to greet me. So instead of standing around and wasting time I started walking around to look at the frames to see if any caught my interest. I received a call on my phone so I took it as I continued to look at all the different frames, only then did an associate come up to try and talk with me when I'm obviously on my phone listening to an issue that's being described to me in my ear. So I just said, "can I talk to you in a minute" and the associate said ok but then continued to stand behind my back as if to listen in to my conversation or watch me like a hawk, just felt awkward and uncomfortable. But I continued to just look at the frames and as I was on the phone, not talking or being rude as I'm hypersensitive to others on their phones in public spaces. I was in the store about 7-10 minutes when the associate came up to me and on the phone for a minute and a half before she approached me again and informed me that I'm not allowed to viewed any of the frames unless I signed in. I just decided this was not the space for me as it felt like I was being watched like a hawk and the interaction so far felt unprofessional and rude. If truly that is the case to sign in before viewing frames, which I've never experienced at any of the other ophthalmologist in town, then politely expressing that with manners to your customer base I think is the least you have to do in a customer service setting. But none the less some training and protocols are needing some review at this establishment but unfortunately I will not be engaging my business here. read more

1st time here today! This was a very positive experience! The entire staff was helpful & friendly, creating a comfortable environment for my visit. Dr.Macco was AWESOME. I avoid going to the optometrist, it's a vulnerable experience... Someone looking deep into your soul...I mean eyes! Lol but seriously, flashes of bright lights, pressurized air shooting into your eyes, teeny tiny little letters to read, intense images of the backside of your eyeball?! Nahhh, I'm good. Lol BUT Dr. Macco helped ease my nerves to create a calm, positive environment for me to become comfortable in. Thank you for being great humans! Everyone here was so so nice and caring, it was extremely refreshing to have. 10/10 would recommend Unfortunately, I have to say this, the other Pritchett down the street has gotten so bad with customer service and care, after 5 years of going, I refuse to visit. This place is insane I wasn't sure to come here, so I sent my wife cause she needs glasses too and this is what happened. Just today on a Monday I got a voice-mail about how my wife needs to come in after paying, to change her lens and frames she picked out a week ago, so of course I was angry and called. I got ahold of someone who went by Kirstie I believe, and said they had charge my wife under the wrong person and had mixed it up and went to tell me how the other women with the same name same birthday as my wife and insurance had been called and denied all the transaction like holy shit, and I asked her that this sounds entirely unbelievable my wife legitimately gave her the ID the insurance card and they still got the wrong person, my lord. So now im worried cause of a chance the insurance could fraud my wife because someone in the front desk who was spoken highly about on the reviews literally screwed this up, like craziest hated monday ever i hope they get this together cause i dont know if my wife will shes flipping out. xD Edit: my wife did speak highly of this place after leaving and how I was gonna be taken care of when I go in; however after I just got off the phone with my wife she just told me how they didn't even let me know they closed for lunch or were going too after my wife just arrived and is coming back and is gonna wait until tomorrow read more

Horrible experience. I went in for my annual exam and was told my prescription had changed by -. 25. I then waited for 2 hours in the office for my contact fitting only to be told they were out of my prescription. I was told they'd order my contacts anyway. They'd be in the next week. Three weeks later I finally called to see what why I hadn't received a call that they were in. They had been there the whole time. I picked up my new prescription and they tried to charge me for the contact fitting I had never received. After a long argument, they finally removed the charge by giving me a discount on my contacts, versus admitting they never did a fitting, because they can't remove a fitting charge on their computer according to them (more likely they wanted to continue to charge my insurance for it). I got in the car and put my contacts on. I couldn't see the road signs or anything at a distance clearly. I took them out and switched to my glasses. I decided maybe my eyes needed time to adjust. I wore them around the house all day. I couldn't see anything clearly that wasn't inches away. I looked at my old prescription and it said - 5.75, my new contacts were - 5.25 despite my glasses prescription being - 6.00. I called and said I'd received the wrong prescription. They said they'd order it and get the right ones and they'd be in 2 weeks later and they'd call me when they were in. A month later I called and the contacts had just been sitting there again. When I got to the office it was the same - 5.25 prescription. At this point I was angry and demanded to speak to the doctor. I was told I was wrong about not being able to see and I could see better out of my weakened prescription. I asked why my glasses were - 6.00 if that were the case. I was told, for the first time in my 20+ years of appointments that I now have astigmatism so I don't need a prescription as strong as my old one because now I can see with a weaker prescription, even though I could not. I was told I could pay for another eye exam and fitting if I didn't like that prescription, which my insurance would not cover. I asked them just to reorder my old prescription (which was too weak, but stronger than the one they were pushing). This was a year ago and now my 2 year old prescription is even less effective, however, I won't be going to Pritchett for my new exam and fitting. read more

What a waste of time. My annual appimtment took over an hour and forty five minutes, most of my appointment was wasted by having me wait around for the Dr. At the end of my appointment I waited over 30mins for the Dr to come and check that the contacts sat comfortably in my eyes and sent me on my way, which only took a minute. The staff is wonderful but the appointments are obviously overbooked if I'm waiting around so long to see the Dr. I don't feel that they value my safety, if they did, my appointment would be as short as possible and I wouldn't have had to wait around the drs office. read more

This place has not refunded my money until now. They give so much hardship and they are not trustworthy with their employee that help me. I will report this place to the business bureau. I was a long time patient of Dr. Soumbianotis, and tried Prichett in July after a semi-bad experience 3 years ago...because second chances should be given. Once again poor medical assessment and bad customer service in July 2018. After three-times attempting to have my glasses fit the prescription they measured me for, they said they could not help me and maybe my problem was my eyes! We agreed to cancel our business relationship and I was in-line for a refund. I was told their policy was I had to wait for up to 45 days for the refund and that a check would be mailed, even though I paid by credit card months previously. It is now day 57 and more than 8 calls or visits to check on my refund to learn my refund request was placed in an inactive refund folder. Now, the glasses didn't work, now the refund doesn't work. Not one active call has been made by them to me, giving me a status update. I had my eyes checked at WalMart after my insurance was reinstated, and got my glasses within 7 days, and guess what...they worked the first time. Barbara, office manager seems nice, but nice doesn't cut it at this stage. I have notified Eye Med these providers need reviewing before renewing their insurance status. So sorry, because Dr. Soumbianotis and his staff were awesome back in the day. #goodluckprichett #timefornewbusinessplan #goodasitgetsisn'tenuff. Received a call today from the Billing Dept. Said they mailed a check a week ago and were confirming I received it...a check for the incorrect amount. They asked what I wanted them to do? I advised them a better way might be to outline what I could expect from them. After exhaustive discussion, I suggested we wait until Monday, yes I suggested that I wait even more time, to ensure that with the holiday mail overload, the check had ample time to arrive. If that check is received by Monday,they will just have to write yet a second check for the full, remaining amount, otherwise, they can stop payment on the first, incorrectly written check and write one for the correct, full amount. Managers out there looking for a good cause and a job, apply at Prichett Eye Care and turn things around, it's the entire organization that needs immediate attention. I've been going to Pritchett Eye Care Associates for almost 10 years. I've never had a truly bad experience here. I know their glasses are a bit overpriced, but because they have pretty good customer service, and they're conveniently located, I've dealt with it. I had the unfortunately incident of having my glasses stolen from my car less than a week after I got them. They were nice enough to give me 30% off when I ordered the ones that got stolen (since I ordered normal glasses from them too). Anyways, when I called to reorder the same exact pair, they upped the price and only gave me a 20% discount. I understand that they're a business and need to make money, but to charge me more than the initial cost is a bit absurd. I call that poor customer service. read more

Not the biggest fan of this location. My entire family uses Pritchett, but no one I know uses this location. I found ONE worker there professional and helpful. Her name was Jennifer and she helped me pick out glasses (that I LOVE) and gave me some tips on how to keep them clean. She was friendly and didnt make me feel like I was bothering her, even though I had to stay past closing. My optometrist was a male and only works there Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I forgot his name. I felt rushed during my both appointments with him and he completely forgot why I was there for my second appointment. I understand doctors have a lot of patients, but I've never had a doctor not know why I was in their office. I made the second appointment, per his request, to dilate my eyes and get my glasses fitted. When I went in to my appointment he checked my eyes and told me I was "good to go." I had to remind him that I was there to get my eyes dilated and my glasses fitted. The ladies at the front were not professional and I had to ask for my change back after paying my bill. They were talking about the drawer being short before they didnt give me my change. It might have just been a coincidence that they forgot, but I definetly expect more out of a "professional" doctors office. read more

Don't be fooled by its outward appearance when you go inside this facility is actually really nice. My boyfriend was getting his eyes checked for new prescription glasses here. They have a very wide selection of glasses to pick from and Kelly was so helpful (not to mention very nice) in finding him the perfect pair that fit his style and matched his face shape! On June 10th, I made an appointment with this "doctor's office" for a regular eye exam for July 13th. Despite the fact the appointment was over a month away and at 8 a.m. on a Monday, I decided it would be worth it to go to an office I'd been to before and could trust with my eyes (ie: A "Real" doctor's office vs. the walk-in at the local big box store.) After multiple reminder texts confirming my appointment, I arrived this morning on time and was told I did not in fact have an appointment any longer. It had been cancelled, with no warning, due to their inefficiency at verifying my insurance. They did not call me (Or text as all their other communication had been) to inform me, but they did send an email. On Friday, at 12:12 which stated, "If you would like to keep the appointment and pay out of pocket, that works for us as well. We do have to reschedule you're apt if we can not get ahold of you within the hour. Please give us a call or email letting us know you're new insurance info or that you will be paying for you're apt." Despite the numerous spelling and grammar errors, it at least gets their point across, which is basically,"Sorry, but we waited until the business day before your exam to take care of our pre-appointment, and since your time and inconvenience do NOT matter, we are just going to cancel your appointment." This email went to one of my accounts which I rarely check (yes, that's my fault), but to not call or text and actually verbally confirm their cancellation is ridiculous! When the clerk first told me they were unable to verify my insurance, I mistakenly thought they would still be able to see me if I just paid cash and hashed it out later with on my own with the insurance company. Nope. They were "Way too busy to fit me in", despite the fact the lobby was empty and not a peep was to be heard in the whole office. Really? Your location has 4 (FOUR) doctors and there is not a single patient waiting. Not even the supposed patient to whom they gave my 8 a.m. appointment. This place doesn't even deserve ONE star. Lousy patient service in every facet. What office sets an appointment over a month in advance, only to check insurance the Friday before an 8 a.m. Monday appointment?! What office confirms appointments via text, only to cancel due to their own inefficiency? THIS OFFICE DOES. I wish I could give this business Zero stars for their unprofessional treatment of me as a patient. read more

They treat everyone with respect and professionalism. Additionally, the prices on their frames in office are way below even Walmart prices!! Barbara up front provides impeccable customer service every time and always makes me chuckle. Dr. Macco is fast and accurate. She is very professional and explains everything in a clear and concise way, for complete patient understanding. She nailed my prescription for my glasses ensuring my sight is crisp and clear. I've been a patient in this office for a few years now and I can truly say this last time I went reassured me that I've chosen a great optometrist to continue to go to. Everyone was really nice and super helpful and made me feel really welcomed. All my questions were answered by the Dr. and definitely appreciated her input when it came to changing new contact lenses. Now if you get the chance to work with Kelly you will leave that office feeling great! Kelly was super awesome and helped me in ways I've never been helped there before. Every question I asked regarding new frames I could feel the sincerity in her voice, she truly went above and beyond for me and I couldn't ask for more. I'm very surprised this office has such low ratings. I've never had a problem here at all. The confirmation texts are a bit annoying but its understandable, they need to make sure you'll be attending your appointment or else they do double book your appointment, which in my opinion, is the patients own fault for not confirming. I've always confirmed my appointments and have never had any trouble with the Moana office. The staff here is so friendly and every time I've come here I have always been greeted with a smile by the 2 gals at the front desk. The tech who took me back to the room was also very friendly and listened to all my concerns. I've been seen by all 3 doctors in this office and again, no complaints. The glasses are a bit over priced, but the customer service I've always gotten by the opticians has always been great, so I don't mind too much. They have always been patient with me picking out glasses, as I'm VERY picky and I can count on them to give me their honest opinions on my selections. read more

Hello, friends looking for a review, so I've been to other Pritchett eye cares and this one in particular was ridiculous. I had to wait over and hour in the exam room at this place and when I've gone to the one on Vista I was able to get in and be seen within the first 15 minutes. Once the optometrist did come in to see me he made a crude remark about what I do in my past time(because I told him I like gaming when he asked what I do - I'm 23 with my own house, I can do what I want in my free time) and he said 'what do you just run around chasing boys?' Which in my opinion was completely unproffessional, rude and sexist! And then the girl that's at the front desk couldn't even bother herself to look at me when I came in, mumbled under her breathe when talking to me and gave me attitude when I asked her what she said because I couldn't hear her. Her attitude is absolutely atrocious and far from friendly I don't know how she's kept her job. She is just beyond rude and gave the attitude like she couldn't be bothered. Also was charged extra for some coating on my glasses when I specifically told the girl multiple times that I can't pay for anything my insurance won't cover and that I did not want nor need this special coating and when I called in and asked when my glasses would be ready I got the response, 'well, like, you can try and call us like Friday orr.... like maybe monday.' My son Charles has been a patient for approximately 5 years with the Pritchett Eye Care Facility at Moana Lane, in Reno, Nevada. In the past when I had questions or needed assistance with my son's glasses they were very thoughtful and prompt. Today, when I needed it the most, they responded to my son's needs with disrespect and complete disregard. I was basically told by a lady named Kelly "sorry, we're not going to give your son replacement glasses (which is part of their purchase contract). I explained to this young lady that I was frustrated with their customer service and felt as though they did not care about my son's situation. He suffers from stigmatism and cannot see at all without his glasses. Unfortunately, my son does not have a backup pair which I informed Kelly. Kelly then stated that I had to pay an outrageous fee for a new pair and because the glasses were broken in a playground they could not replace them without charging me. I asked her for advice on what other options she could offer me because I could not afford to pay the outrageous price they were asking for. She was not helpful in any way and didn't show any concern for my son's situation. As a mother I felt hurt that someone could be so thoughtless and inconsiderate, especially as Kelly is in the customer service for minors. Kelly never once apologized for her behavior or for her disrespectful tone and approach to my son's circumstances. I am grateful to the young lady named Stephanie who called me back and helped to resolve the entire situation and made sure my son would receive a pair of glasses according to the agreement entered when I first purchased glasses at Pritchett Eye Center. Stephanie was willing to take the time necessary to help me and my son. I am truly grateful and could not be happier. God Bless Stephanie. She even took the time to apologize for something she did not do and made me feel like my son is a valuable customer and assured me that they would honor the agreement that Pritchett Eye Care initially established with us. read more

BEWARE! THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE! This eye care center is awful!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had so many problems with them that I would not recommend them to anyone not even my enemies!!!!!!!!!! I talked to my co workers and non of them had anything to good to say about Pritchett either. My family will not be returning to them. First, they called to verify my daughters appointment on Thursday before her Friday appointment. They only called my home phone. I did not get home that evening until 7 so I could not return their call. I did not think this was a problem, but much to my surprise, it was! I called Friday morning at 8:15 shortly after they opened to let them know we were coming. Well, they had given my daughters appointment away! I had to talk to a manager who said, we can squeeze you in at your scheduled time, but because someone else has your appointment, you will have to wait! What! That is crazy. We have had this appointment for over a month. We did go because my daughter really needs the glasses because it is affecting her learning at school and I did not want to take another day off or work. So, we waited. To make matters worse, when we left, I found out that they had doubled billed me on my credit card which was eventually fixd. But, the last straw, was when my oldest daughter went to pick up the eye glass subscription. We live an hour away from Reno and cannot get off of work in time to get the glasses. So, I asked my daughter who happened to be in Reno to pick them up. I called Pritchett ahead of time to let them know. My daughter was there when I called, but they would not give her the glasses because there was a hundred dollar insurance balance that I was not told about before now. I do not mind paying the bill, but have the respect to let me know that I owe something. Finally, I told the person on the phone to send the bill with my daughter as well as the glasses because I have already paid for them. I also told the person on the phone that I will not be returning to them because of the unprofessionalism and horrible service I have received. I have never ever written a bad review about anyone or a product before, but I do not want anyone else to have to deal with all the unnecessary problems that I had with this place. Before writing this review, I even spoke with my dentist, my children's dentists and doctors to see if it was common practice to give appointments away.
