I remember coming here when it was still Cascade Mini Golf (still calling it Cascade in my head). It had charm, character, and those signature water features that made it feel a little magical. Now most of those water features are completely dry. The few that still have water look dirty and unmaintained. Algae, grime--it clearly hasn't been cleaned in a long time. I noticed that the owner has responded to similar reviews over the past year or two, saying that the ponds are periodically drained, cleaned, and treated. But based on what I saw--and the photos I took--I find that hard to believe. This level of disrepair isn't something that happened last week. It looks like it's been ignored for quite a while. That's the frustrating part is that this place still has so much potential. The course layout is fun, people are still showing up, and with even a modest amount of upkeep, it could be great again. But it needs care--and right now, it just doesn't feel like it's getting any. I really hope the owners invest in bringing it back to life. Until then, it's hard to justify more than two stars.

Yes granted I get it, people shank it and I could get hit but that's my prerogative. He ruined what was a relaxing golf practice and made it sour I ended up just leaving multiple practice balls behind because I didn't wanna hit near him. We love golf and it's been a hot minute since we've had a chance to go play. He reserved us to play the 9 hole Pasture course. First, the signs directed us to the right past the bridge behind the clubhouse. When the first hole was actually just to the left of the driving range. Also, I can't say how far but it was exactly but it was quite a walk and so confusing to find that first hole. The tee box if you will call it was chock full of divets. This so called tee box has no turf but appears to be regular grass? Also, some tee boxes didn't line up very well with the green. So often times trying to figure out which green / flag to aim for was confusing, Apparently filling divets or raking a bunker is not necessary or a required rule on the Pasture course from what I could tell. Over the loud speaker they told us to pair up with a young couple of 2. This is ridiculous. I wanted to spend time with my husband not with twenty something year olds. So we let them go ahead. By the 6th hole we were done. It just wasn't a pleasant place to play. We decided to hit the driving range before leaving but that was an even worse experience. It does look like they installed some new turf boxes but it was coned off and we were unable to use it. We headed out onto the grass which was also awful. People were playing in weird places. Sone out farther, sone behind the rope lines, others inside it. But regardless the grass and dirt made it completely difficult to hit a ball unless you had a tee. I'm really disappointed that my date night was ruined by such awful maintenance of a course. The views are gorgeous but this is not a place I'd return unless the City of Provo can turn this around.

I saw a Facebook event for a date night-various golf challenges, a little bit of instruction, dessert in your golf cart while watching the sun set over the mountains. Sounds perfect, right? All the other couples were wearing golf-appropriate attire (Nike everywhere!) and practicing putting while we waited. We took a few eyebrow-raised glances, but were determined to have a good time. We were sitting in prime real estate-the shade-while we waited for instruction to begin our night of adventure. A few folks joined us, including one person whom we later learned to be one of the instructors, and started up some casual conversation. We found that each of the challenges was fun, but also led by professional golf instructors who were extremely patient and rather good at what they do. They recognized that we were newbies and gave us simple tips to get started. Everyone was very friendly, we did not feel like we were unwelcome at all. By the end of the night, my wife was asking about taking lessons. We had so much fun, the instructors were all so good and the course is just beautiful. What's not to love? We'll be back.

They even have a small playground so you can bring your littles children along and they won't get bored or in the way. The driving range is beautiful. But I'm not an avid golfer so as long as don't loose my ball in the water, I'm good. The banquet room is the perfect space for my husband's office Christmas parties. They've hosted us for the past three years while hiring out the food from a local vendor down the street. They fit 10 round large tables that seated 8-10 people and it filled the entire room, with just enough space for the live band and food buffet. There's a small kitchen the vendor gets to use so you could literally cater in any food you want. Would be great for a wedding as well.

The favorites from the poolside menu as well as the restaurant menu disappear one by one and it seems the chefs or management don't listen to members many complaints. Waffle fries, popcorn, ribeye, pesto burrata, house dressing, halibut au gratin, fresh brewed iced tea, and these are just the things off the top of my head. Members love and miss them. We miss the bistro, too. Not to mention the menu is changing every time we come back to the restaurant. As soon as we find something we like, we come back to get it and it's gone, then the cycle repeats. The service is very, very slow in the restaurants as well.
