We had a fun time together--because mini…read moregolf is hard to mess up when you're with good people--but I walked away honestly just feeling sad about what this place has become. I remember coming here when it was still Cascade Mini Golf (still calling it Cascade in my head). It had charm, character, and those signature water features that made it feel a little magical. Now most of those water features are completely dry. The few that still have water look dirty and unmaintained. Algae, grime--it clearly hasn't been cleaned in a long time. I noticed that the owner has responded to similar reviews over the past year or two, saying that the ponds are periodically drained, cleaned, and treated. But based on what I saw--and the photos I took--I find that hard to believe. This level of disrepair isn't something that happened last week. It looks like it's been ignored for quite a while. That's the frustrating part is that this place still has so much potential. The course layout is fun, people are still showing up, and with even a modest amount of upkeep, it could be great again. But it needs care--and right now, it just doesn't feel like it's getting any. I really hope the owners invest in bringing it back to life. Until then, it's hard to justify more than two stars.

It also has surface targets instead of the recessed holes and therefore the scoring seemed much different than usual. It's only a few years old, so I'm not sure if the differences are cost cutting measures. But I was a bit disappointed. I did think it was cool that they had a small miniature golf course out front and it looked like a realistic course with hills and sand bunkers etc. We arrived earlier than our reservation and they informed us they are weren't ready for us, so we headed to the bar. Right after we ordered drinks we get a text asking if we were here. We responded here. Next thing we know it says our bay will be ready shortly. We try to fast track our drinks only to wait another 15ish minutes to get our assigned bay right at 6:15pm. We were on the second floor. Instead of the couch like setting, it had a bar table with high top chairs. The one cool thing, is the screen above the ball delivery box so you could see where your call went vs looking back at the screen near the seating area. The glare from bright lights coming from businesses/buildings beyond the range made it hard to see where the ball was in the air or where it landed. The food is expensive. Portions are small, but food is usually good just not very filling. If you order food and drinks it gets expensive. We played 2 hours with some adult beverages and food and it was $155 before tip. Service was just ok. I've had better. We ordered waters and had to ask twice to get them. Paid extra for a second sauce and never got it. I should have complained but it was only a $1. I think overall I prefer the Midvale location vs the Vineyard one.

They told us we had to wait until everyone was checked in to order, which was annoying but corporate policy I would assume? It ended up taking a while to order because the server wasn't there once we were all checked in. It's also kind of corny that they charge $5 for new guests to sign up for a membership (which I didn't want) and I had to give them all my information. I recognize that it isn't this specific top golf's fault we had to do that but still impacted our experience. We ordered drinks first. They are a Pepsi establishment :/ so I ordered a Diet Pepsi. All of the drinks that came to our table were Dr Pepper. I told the waitress and she said "well one of them should be what you asked for" but when I asked the rest of the table they all had their correct drinks and not mine. I then had to wait for the waitress to come back and tell her again the drink is wrong. It took me 45 minutes to get my drink. The food alone was a 5/5. We got a bunch of different bites for everyone to share. The chips and queso came out really quickly. The pretzel bites were so yummy. I also LOVED the mac and cheese bites. We also ordered the hot honey flatbread and it was really good. The wing trio good but nothing amazing. The real showstopper of this space is the view. It's so pretty to look out at the mountains while golfing. It always rained a little while we were there which made it so fun to see the fall mountains with the rain. We had a really good experience overall despite a few setbacks!

I saw a Facebook event for a date night-various golf challenges, a little bit of instruction, dessert in your golf cart while watching the sun set over the mountains. Sounds perfect, right? Yeah, it pretty much was. When my wife and I arrived, we immediately felt out of our league. All the other couples were wearing golf-appropriate attire (Nike everywhere!) and practicing putting while we waited. We took a few eyebrow-raised glances, but were determined to have a good time. We were sitting in prime real estate-the shade-while we waited for instruction to begin our night of adventure. A few folks joined us, including one person whom we later learned to be one of the instructors, and started up some casual conversation. We found that each of the challenges was fun, but also led by professional golf instructors who were extremely patient and rather good at what they do. They recognized that we were newbies and gave us simple tips to get started. Everyone was very friendly, we did not feel like we were unwelcome at all. By the end of the night, my wife was asking about taking lessons. We had so much fun, the instructors were all so good and the course is just beautiful. What's not to love? We'll be back.

Other than the general under watering and sorry bunker execution, it's still a somewhat attractive course.

WE ARE OWED AN APOLOGY FOX HOLLOW…read more My boyfriend golfed fox hollow on March 2nd. Let me start by saying he is a very experienced golfer, he golfs 18 holes numerous times a week at many courses throughout the Salt Lake and Utah Valley. He is more than accustomed to golf etiquette and is very patient with courses when things are just moving slow on the course. His 1:00 tee time was delayed by 10-15 minutes. By the 4th hole, a gentleman from two groups behind them drove his cart over to them and told them to speed up their play. My boyfriend and his playing partners politely explained they've been waiting at every tee box and understood the course was just playing slower. He drove off and said have a nice day. This man was not the course Marshall, just someone from a random group. At the 11th hole, the same man began taunting my boyfriend's group telling them to speed up. This continued from hole 11 thru 18. Even though it was obvious that my boyfriends group could not speed up their pace of play as they were waiting on the group in front of them, and if they would have allowed this taunting gentleman to play through, it would not have accomplished anything as the gentleman would have then been waiting on the same party my boyfriends group was. Normally we would chalk this up as poor sportsmanship and golf etiquette of random people on the golf course. However.... This gentleman proceeded to drive up to my boyfriend and yell homophobic slurs. At which time it was uncovered this gentleman is an employee of Fox Hollow Golf Course by the name of Mike. Who was sporting a Mohawk, skinny denim jeans and a zip up hoodie. Not only is it incredibly upsetting that an EMPLOYEE would be ruining a paying customers experience by taunting and belittling a customer, but his homophobic slurs while representing a course he is employed by are disgraceful. As an employee of the course on or off the clock, if you are playing on the course you should be showing the utmost professionalism. Including dressing in true golf appropriate attire and not in street clothes. We will not give our money to Fox Hollow ever again, and strongly encourage any one that is LGBTQ+ or is an ally to rethink giving your money to these people. We will be following up with a better business bureau review as I truly think the amount of taunting my boyfriend went through was a sign of discrimination as Mike believed my boyfriend as Gay based off the slur he yelled. Do better Fox Hollow.
