It's been two years since I last played here and it's great to be back. This course has a few holes…read morethat require local knowledge like the Par 4 second hole and the dog left 4th hole. The greens are fast, likely due to the 94 degrees. There was a challenge with the 34 minutes it took to play the first hole due to the group in front of us were playing slowly. The Marshall was out to speak with them by the third hole. If you're a walker the course is relatively flat but I took 22,000 steps. The Beverage cart game is solid. Soft drinks and water with the other side for beer. The driver was very nice. The guys bathroom is clean and located near the cafe. The driving range is mats only on there are two practice putting greens. The staff is very nice and helpful. There is an indoor area for winter golf.

I thought Utah did t have courses... but then I came here to hit balls in March 2022 and they weren't open yet but getting close. The clubhouse staff were very nice and easy going. I've played 4 rounds of 18 and 2 rounds of 9 since July and I love this course. 1 is an easy par 4. Heading next into a dog left 4, the par 3. The greens are in good condition with challenging undulations the altitude changes. The back nine is a passage descending into the belly of the beast. Just maintain tempo, deep breath and swing easy. It will get there. If you try too hard you will lose sleeves to the JRT or the deep poo that borders all the fairways... Rates are good... cart is $18 per rider Clubhouse staff is good and super helpful whether in person or on the phone. The food at the clubhouse is exceptional. They take pride In their menu down the the bread used on the Philly. If you go, look up every now and again to admire the beauty.

All the other couples were wearing golf-appropriate attire (Nike everywhere!) and practicing putting while we waited. We took a few eyebrow-raised glances, but were determined to have a good time. We were sitting in prime real estate-the shade-while we waited for instruction to begin our night of adventure. A few folks joined us, including one person whom we later learned to be one of the instructors, and started up some casual conversation. We found that each of the challenges was fun, but also led by professional golf instructors who were extremely patient and rather good at what they do. They recognized that we were newbies and gave us simple tips to get started. Everyone was very friendly, we did not feel like we were unwelcome at all. By the end of the night, my wife was asking about taking lessons. We had so much fun, the instructors were all so good and the course is just beautiful. What's not to love? We'll be back.

There are two things stopping this course from being great:…read more1) dry, dead-pan fairways that feel like hitting approach shots off of asphalt 2) bunkers look like they've been emptied and are now conprised of pebbles and compacted sand (or just filled with the cheapest unsifted sand available) and some bunkers even have grass growing in them. A few years back they started making some big changes with the staff and it shows. They have a large, beautifully designed club house that can host wedding receptions, large business dinners and anything else you could imagine. The golf course is always in great shape. Even though it gets a lot of play they are able to maintain some of the best greens in the state. That is due in part to their great, new sprinkling system. The service is a lot better than it used to be. Overall this is my favorite public course in Utah County and maybe in all of Utah. I highly recommend it.

He went back in later that day to speak with Andrew the "manager" - who told him that he was fired for some BS. They didnt tell him days before - when aparently it took place, NEVER gave him ANY coaching, or feedback, for any kind of performance improvement. They said his uniform wasn' right (They didn't provide him with the proper uniform to begin with! They're supposed to supply all the pieces - but didn't provide to my son - said they "didn't have his size" and then used it as the reason to let him go). IT SHOULD NEVER BE A SURPRISE TO A PERSON WHEN THEY GET FIRED, ITS A FAILURE OF LEADERSHIP IF THEY DO NOT! Its unfortunate that they're treating 17 year old kids this way - what a horrible introduction to the work world! I will NEVER give my money to an institution that treats people this way, and I hope you consider this when selecting where to golf!

Let me start by saying he is a very experienced golfer, he golfs 18 holes numerous times a week at many courses throughout the Salt Lake and Utah Valley. He is more than accustomed to golf etiquette and is very patient with courses when things are just moving slow on the course. His 1:00 tee time was delayed by 10-15 minutes. By the 4th hole, a gentleman from two groups behind them drove his cart over to them and told them to speed up their play. My boyfriend and his playing partners politely explained they've been waiting at every tee box and understood the course was just playing slower. He drove off and said have a nice day. This man was not the course Marshall, just someone from a random group. At the 11th hole, the same man began taunting my boyfriend's group telling them to speed up. This continued from hole 11 thru 18. Even though it was obvious that my boyfriends group could not speed up their pace of play as they were waiting on the group in front of them, and if they would have allowed this taunting gentleman to play through, it would not have accomplished anything as the gentleman would have then been waiting on the same party my boyfriends group was. Normally we would chalk this up as poor sportsmanship and golf etiquette of random people on the golf course. However.... This gentleman proceeded to drive up to my boyfriend and yell homophobic slurs. At which time it was uncovered this gentleman is an employee of Fox Hollow Golf Course by the name of Mike. Who was sporting a Mohawk, skinny denim jeans and a zip up hoodie. Not only is it incredibly upsetting that an EMPLOYEE would be ruining a paying customers experience by taunting and belittling a customer, but his homophobic slurs while representing a course he is employed by are disgraceful. As an employee of the course on or off the clock, if you are playing on the course you should be showing the utmost professionalism. Including dressing in true golf appropriate attire and not in street clothes. We will not give our money to Fox Hollow ever again, and strongly encourage any one that is LGBTQ+ or is an ally to rethink giving your money to these people. We will be following up with a better business bureau review as I truly think the amount of taunting my boyfriend went through was a sign of discrimination as Mike believed my boyfriend as Gay based off the slur he yelled. I don't think it was a Monday night special, we were able to play both mini golf courses for $8/person. Some of the holes were super challenging and I could see myself coming back again to try it. It seemed like they were actively working on some of the obstacles so, it will probably change and improve over time. This is a great low stakes outdoor activity for people that want to get a little sunshine with little effort. I only have 2 very minor complains. The first is that the food stand wasn't open when we went there around 2pm on a Monday, but no worries, there was lots of food in the area. We ended up getting food nearby and coming back to finish our game. There's tons of picnic tables around, so they're probably cool with people packing a picnic. We will probably just plan on doing that in the future. Also, when we first showed up, there were TONS of kids, which was a little annoying. They were climbing all over the features and they were impatient with the groups ahead of them on the course. When we came back from grabbing food, around 5, it was way quieter. So my advice if you want to avoid the kids is to come around dinner time or maybe first thing in the morning. We think we accidentally showed up when kids had just gotten let out of school. I could see this place being super busy on the weekends. We will totally come back when we're looking for a cheap activity with friends.
