Most of the nurses are great. The woman who make the appointments were always helpful as well. Once and a while I had or saw someone else have some trouble with a particular girl at the front desk. I also had some issues with a couple of the woman giving transfusions. For one they would barely introduce themselves and then Im hard to stick and they would make it obvious when they were annoyed. These things make an uncomfortable situation worse. I add this in because no matter how great a doctor is he is only as good as his staff will allow. Overall my experience here was a 7 out of 10 and if I had any problems I would go back without hesitation.

The scheduler, hearing the tears in my voice, said "We've got you." I have felt that way ever since. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kerstein and Dr. Park. Clear, patient and compassionate, they have guided me through my treatments without once forgetting my humanity. Yes, sometimes you need to wait an extra 10-15 for your appointment time, but this is a cancer hospital not a restaurant. If someone sick needs a little more time with your doctor so be it. It will be your turn to need the extra 20 minutes at some point. We are blessed in central NJ to have such an incredible medical facility right here. There's nowhere else I would ever go.

Yes, they have an abundance of business so they don't exactly take the time with you. But, you do need to advocate for yourself and speak up when you feel you are being rushed. Frustrating when you expect to see the doctor and they put an iPad before you because the doc isn't there. When you have a scheduled telemedicine, expect it to be thirty minutes past your time.

He gave my friend with lung cancer 11 extra years, when her life expectancy was 6 to 24 months tops. Those years she led a relatively active, healthy and pain free (managed with medication) life. I have growths on my thyroid and I didn't have to go looking for a oncologist- I chose Dr Salib over those internationally known oncology centers. Dr Salib also participates in FDA approved medication/chemo studies that many times work well and can extend your life. If your doctor isn't giving you too many options, or wants to stop treatment, try going to Dr Salib's. Of course not everyone can get the great results my friend did, but Dr Salib gave her 11 years when she was facing 6 months until death. Enough time to sort out her affairs. We go first thing in the morning and hate to start of the day being treated this way, MSK has huge posters everywhere saying "be kind" so maybe they should check of the first POC who is valet. We have seen him treat white people nice and friendly. So it this him being the big R? Awful experience! My husband can't walk much otherwise we would just park in visitor parking.

Since doctors are typically super busy and hard to track down or see, their nurses are the ones to face patients most of the time. Lauren is very dedicated to her work and considerate of her patients. She always encourages patients and their family care givers to call her or the office whenever they have any questions, and she always returns calls timely. She is kind-hearted and listens to her patients' worries and concerns. She makes every effort to make sure to communicate patients' questions to the doctors she works with for answers and solutions. I can't say enough thanks to Lauren! On a separate note, the nurses in the infusion room are all wonderful, so caring and competent that make the harsh treatment much less stressful for the patients and their families.
