Took our cat, Vianca to get groomed recently. They did a great job. Washed, trimmed and got all her shedding hair off. She's a all white cat and I researched that you can get most of the hair off by grooming and professional care. We have given our cat a bath several times and she always likes it. She prances around did the next few hours feeling all fresh and clean. She did the same thing after bringing her home from the groomers. I'm sure we will be back Great job ! read more

My mini poodle is a difficult one.. the first time we took her here is was fine.. the second time she came back with an uneven cut and a bald strip between her eyes. The cut also took over 3 hours.. apparently the lady at the front desk said my dog was fighting the air dryer so they stopped.. I guess they let her drip dry in the cage. Not going back. read more

I have taken my dogs here for over 8 years. I get them groomed every 8 weeks, and rarely go longer than the 8 weeks. I have 3 dogs and they had charged me 65.00 for bath/ slight paw timing, (golden retrievers) One of my dogs had some weird under coat hair and required more time so she was 75.00 cost. I brought all three in 8 weeks later for the same service, and without notifying me all three dogs were now 95.00 each!!! Ridiculous , price gouging for well maintained dogs. I have moved on and just had them groomed at another place in Rocklin. All three were 67.00 each. One of the employees recolonized my dogs and said she use to work at PROGROOM and she was uncomfortable with the pricing here as well and moved on too! read more

I took my dog zero in for grooming today for the first time, and I am beyond impressed! Haley did an absolutely fantastic job!! They're a little more expensive than my last groomer, but my last groomer never did anywhere near as good a job as she did. I look forward to my next visit with zero. We have been taking our poms here for years and never had any issues. Today we had to use someone new because our groomer was booked. I told the girl at the front which dog gets what and she said ok. A few hours later I get a phone call saying my beautiful girl got her coat shaved! No she was not matted. She had thought both our dogs cut shaved. Reception who I told who got what, tried to get an attitude with me, did not apologize and then tried to blame others for it. Poms are NOT dogs who can get shaved down because their coat will not grow back the same. Our older dog does because he was shaved down before we knew about their coats. Needless to say my heart was broken! She had a beautiful coat and now it's gone and will never be the same! read more

Called before bringing my dog in and was told the cost would be $50.00 plus $20.00 because my dog was sprayed by a skunk. I go to pick up my dog and was told it was $100.00 plus a tip. I told the owner that I agreed to pay $70.00 and she told me to insert my card. She tried to sneak and charge me $30.00 more than what I was told it would cost. I quickly removed my card and asked why she was charging me more than what I agreed to pay. Then she said she was going to call all the pet grooming places around to tell on me. Great place. I've been going there for years and Beck was our original groomer and she was great. Tami is now our groomer and she continues that tradition. It is very hard to find a good groomer, but even harder to find a great one. The place is spotless. I have been in the back where they crate the animals while they wait their turn for the various stages of the grooming process and it was also very clean and my animals had a full bowl of clean water. The people at the shop are very friendly as well. For me what it comes down to is my dogs are treated well, they are safe and they do a fine job grooming. read more

I called to ask how much to trim my labs nails, front paws only and was quoted $10. When i got there they charged me $20 and said they quoted $10 to trim the hair between the paws, not to trim the nails. "It was a misunderstanding" but they still charged me $20., what ever happened to the customer is always right. It took them less than 5 minutes to trim his nails... then wanted to know if i wanted to tip??? never going back there again !!!! read more

Zero stars if possible. I dropped my labradoodle off for a grooming and was quoted $70 and 3 hours. When dropping her off the groomer complained about a "24 week old puppy that was just dropped off ahead of her". She then goes on to ask if we scratch out dog behind the ears. When I said yes, she sighed and shook her head. She said three hours at this point. 3 hours, 45 minutes later I call and ask where we are. "Another 45...". This morning, I scheduled my cat for a bath and nail trim via Pro Groom's online scheduling function. I searched available appointment times that were open for tomorrow, because I needed to have this done this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had some availability, so I selected a morning appointment and input all of my information. I did not receive an e-mail notification until 2 PM stating that there was a scheduling conflict for the time I had selected, and that I would need to call and choose a new time. So I called and the lady who answered, Pamela, told me that there were no longer any appointments left for tomorrow. And she gave me this weird excuse about how the online system is just a request system, not the official availability. She said she could get me in sometime next week. Unfortunately, next week is too late. I needed this service like this weekend. Normally, I just take my kitty to PetSmart because they generally have openings, but this week they did not. Otherwise, I wouldn't have waited until so late in the week to make an appointment. And I believed by submitting my information online through Pro Groom's website that my appointment would be solidified. Why would you have a system that tells potential customers that these times are available on this day, and then tell the customer hours later that that's not how he system works? That's very misleading. And now, I have no hope of finding an appointment for this weekend, because all of that time lapsed where I could have tried to get my cat an appointment somewhere else, I thought I had an appointment already set up. Personally, from the business side of it, I think they should have still offered to squeeze my cat in tomorrow because it was their error that caused this misunderstanding and inconvenience. Appointment making process was very easy online, and confirmation sent to your email and cell phone. I was referred to this groomer from a mobile groomer that wasn't taking any new clients so I gave it a shot. I read some reviews on here stating that you need copies of your dog's vaccinations so... I made copies and brought them with me. As I dropped off my dog, no mention of vaccination proof, so at the end it's me who remembered about it and gave it to the lady.... I feel for the people who option not to vaccinate your dogs, but some people want the safety and assurance of our babies not getting sick. I rather take my dog to a groomer requiring vaccinations, but since Pro-Groom forgot to ask..... that was minus a star. Appointment was at 1:30, got there on time. Lady said it would take 2-3 hours depending on how behaved my dog is. I came back after 2 1/2 hours, knowing I may be a bit early, I didn't mind waiting for half an hour til she was done. I get there and ask for the status, and they hadn't even started cutting my dog. Only washed/dried.... I felt so bad for my baby, I could hear her crying in the back room. 4:10, my dog was let out onto the grooming table. 20 mins left til the 3 hour mark. I patiently waited in the waiting area. Nice that they have free coffee and comfy chairs. In the waiting room was another man who had an appointment right after mine with the same lady. He mentioned to me that he stopped coming to this groomer for a while since they ALWAYS take longer than they say they would but his mobile groomer was booked..... This place closes at 5:30PM and our groomer had two dogs left to fit in. 4:45 my dog was finally done. I wasn't too upset that it took 15 minutes more but what made me knock off another star was when I came home and took a better look at my dog, her fur was uneven looking. Some fur on her paws were longer, her chest had long pieces left. Her legs didn't look smooth.... It was rushed.... Why did I pay $55 for a mediocre job? Knocked off another star because it doesn't take 2 1/2 hours to wash and dry a dog. I am never putting my dog through such a stressful experience. I am definitely going to try and look for a mobile groomer or learn to do it myself. UPDATE one day later.... today my dog has been jumping up in surprise acting like something on her privates are irritating her. She was licking and being skittish. So I checked her anus and it was purple and bruised. The groomer had squeezed way too hard during the anal expression. Small dogs don't need that much pressure!! I usually express them myself and never had the problem. The anal sac expression is included in the full groom service. So sad..... read more

This shop is now on Roseville Parkway. I took my elderly golden/shepard mix here for her summer shave. When I first went in I immediately noticed a middle aged woman giving me serious stink eye. A nice young woman approached and said she'd be taking care of my dog, but she had to ask the other woman what to charge. I didn't like that pricing wasn't standard, had a dishonest feel to it. They said they needed 3 hours to wash/shave my dog. That seemed really long given I've used mobile pet groomers who get her all done in 1.5 hours. What I realized is they stuck her in a cage, not cool. Also what big time ticked me off is how damn slippery the floor was. My old, arthritic dog, fell several times trying to walk. I had a hard time walking on the floor, very dangerous. I will say the young woman who worked on my dog, Whitney I think her name was, was very kind and did a good job. She does a great job with my high maintance pomeranian and she trully seems to enjoy her job so I would follow her any where. When I called, I had no problem getting a quote for the service. They asked what the breed was, how much he weighed and what I wanted done and gave me the price. Everyone has always been very helpful and I have never entered the shop without being acknowleded. I'm always surprised at how fast they get the job done considering how much work he requires. Not sure what happened but we brought our baby back another day, her third visit. When we got her home we noticed her eyes were really red, almost like they hemorrhaged. I called the groomer, they called me back and stated that maybe she got soap in her eye...?? I took a Picture the day she got home then 3 days later... soap doesn't keep your eyes red for so long. I have been bringing my pets to Pro Groom since 2002 when Sally had the little shop in Old Town Roseville. In that time, I've brought our dog's and our cat's in for baths and grooming. In over 13 years, I've encountered one bad experience when a new groomer gave my Cocker Spaniel a bad cut and had a bad attitude about it, so I decided to not return. After a few months, Sally called to see if my Cocker was okay, I explained what happened she mentioned a couple other complaints and assured me she would take care of the problem and asked that I bring Banshee back to see her, I did. Since then the entire staff has been nothing less then wonderful, helpful, courteous and caring. We now take two large Golden Retrievers and one high maintenance Shih tzu puppy. Every time I call I am greeted by name and never denied, even if it is an emergency service. I highly recommend Pro Groom to anybody who loves their pets and wants top notch service for them. I recently rescued my little yorkie, she is my first dog, and I just want to spoil her since she has had a rough few months. I took her to get a haircut I was sooo happy to see her once she was done!
