DO NOT USE THIS BUISNESS!!! Owner are new, they are no longer connected to Premiere Cleaners in Bressi Ranch. They qrote one price and then charge you another! And their prices are ridiculously HIGH! You can find cleaners elsewhere at a lot less. Customer service is BAD! Not willing to adjust or assist you. And on top of that they charge YOU extra when you use you charge card. I have been a customer here for many years and was always happy with them and their work. But, when I took 4 pairs of jeans in on Saturday, April 2 I noticed that the former owners were gone. They have been replaced and boy, please re-think going here! When I (finally) got to the register to drop of the jeans, I was informed that the hemming charge would be $80!!! Seriously? The previous owners used to have $5.95 specials and I never paid more than $9.95 per pair. Talk about taking advantage and price gouging....really bad idea during an inflationary period. I brought about 20 pairs of jeans to hem after Googling the correct length for different styles of jeans for petite women. The tailor I had used in the past was pretty insistent that I should wear my jeans longer regardless of the style. I saw an ad for Pro Hems and decided to get all my jeans the right length according to style. I marked the length I wanted and Esther Cha did a great job of hemming all of them in just a matter of days. She is a delightful young lady and a pleasure to work with. I came to the studio with a time sensitive job and the ladies here were beyond helpful! Other tailors did not offer rush jobs and were backed up for days. The kind and professional ladies at Pro Hem not only assured me they could have it done by the end of the day but they also went the extra mile and had the job done in 30 minutes because they so considerately saw that I had my 2 kids (4 y & 3 mo) and did not want me to struggle to leave and come back later. This place is the best! I was first attracted to the $2.99 for pant hems and brought in so many pairs that I had been too cheap to do previously. I know this deal won't last but it's great for now. I just took in 2 sport jackets to have some tayloring done and prices were very reasonable and they did a great job. Esther (the owner) and Ephrain are easy to work with and the place itself is very nice modern decor. It's right across from the Outlets so easy to get to. I hope people check them out because I want them to do well in Carlsbad. They are very clear about the $2.99 deal being for pant hems only. I took some items to be altered recently. I had come here a few years back and found the establishment to be reasonable, this time not so much. After prepaying fir the alterations I returned a week later to pick the items up. Before the sisters would let me out the door they demanded I pay additional money. I resisted because I had already paid, I had the receipt. They said there was an additional fee - $57.00 TO IRON the clothes! Seriously, that should be included. They said " you asked us to". Which I most certainly did not , I can iron them myself. having brought no additional money because I had already paid I had to come back again to pay and get my items. After I objected they lowered the price to $37.00 and told me I didn't have to come back in the future. why would I want to? I wish I'd read more of the recent reviews before going, I'd have saved money - there are a lot less expensive and better quality tailors in the area. If you don't mind wasting money go here but if you want quality service and good customer service go elsewhere. These sisters are running a typical bait and switch operation. read more

I have been a customer for Pro hems for the last 2-3 years. Was very satisfied with the previous owners. Went recently to have my daughter's prom dress altered. They took a couple of inches off the bottom of a two layer dress, pulled up the shoulders about an inch, and fitted the waist a tiny bit. This cost me a WHOOPING $185. This is literally twice the amount of the dress. I asked several times why it was so much, and the lady insisted that was a good price and that it did not include a rush job. Why would it be a rush job if we still had two and half weeks to prom. I went ahead and did it because it was two and half weeks to prom and didn't want to take a chance going anywhere else. I figured I would call the owner on Monday and ask why it was so much. Come Monday, I spoke to the owner, Zhila, not knowing that she was the NEW Owner and that it was under NEW OWNERSHIP. I asked why it was so much and she spoke very loudly to me (I would say yelling, but let's be polite) and interrupted quite a bit as I was asking questions. Once again, I did not realize this was under new ownership. As I tried to reason with her, I realized that this was going no where and just conceded. However, I promised myself to put this post here to help others not be GANKED like I was. Do not go to this business. They will take you for every penny you have. The dress was altered nicely, however the waist was too tight, but I was not going to leave it there again to be fixed after this debacle. read more
