I thought to myself... holy smokes this is way better than everyone else I've contacted! So I made an appointment. The guys showed up on time and were very courteous and kind, very professional. Did a great job explaining the process to me and it was complete in less than 10 minutes. Here's the rub: they charged me $348 for 10 minutes of work. I was taken aback, especially since the quote began so low. As I looked at the itemized receipt, I saw that there was a $29 show fee, $169 for labor, and $150 for the mailbox lock. I'm always one to pay what's owed but I think Elite Locksmiths overcharge for their services. If I had known that the lock was going to be $150, I would have bought one myself from Lowe's. I don't have anyone but myself to blame as I should have asked more questions up front. Buyer beware! Great, quick service BUT outrageous charges!
