Do not use this company! Their employee got our car dirty while cleaning a roof and then shattered the car window when washing off the mess they had made on the neighborhood cars. When the issue was raised with the owner (Anthony/Tony) he refused to review photo and video evidence, would not repair the damage, nor would he supply his insurance to file a claim. We have high quality video showing the employee washing the car off, shattering the rear window, pacing back and forth behind the car, then taking a photo of the shattered window, and then returning minutes later to take a photo from an angle that makes it harder to see the shattered window. The damage to the car was discovered within 15 minutes when the driver door was opened and the rear window collapsed into the car. Avoid this company at all cost as they did not repair damage they clearly caused. read more

We had to replace a 10-year old roof because the previous contractor made a mistake in how the shingles were laid down, resulting in a failed roof 20 years before it should have failed. They are no longer in business. :( We had to find a roofing company to look at our roof, figure out the most effective way to fix the issue, and do the work quickly. Pro-Long Roof Care & Gutters came out within 2 days (and it's a long drive from Snohomish to our town), gave us a quote, which we accepted, and within a week we had a replacement roof. They did not bill us for the entire amount until they came out after several days of heavy rain to ensure that our roof met our mutual expectations. Not quite the lowest bid we received, Pro-Long had the best warranty by far. All of the crew were friendly, worked hard and kept the yard tidy. We have a very steeply pitched roof, but they knew what they were doing and had no accidents :) I was impressed that as soon as the old shingles came off, they had the roof boards clean and the underlayment down. Good thing, as we had a surprise rain shower that night. Roof looks fantastic, neighbors have all commented how nice it looks. **Update**: A roofer from Pro Long showed up the next day around 10am without prior warning. I just happened to be home. This is how the interchange went: Repairman: I'm here to do the requested repairs Me: You we're supposed to be here yesterday Repairman: Oh yeah, my other job ran long Me: No one called me Repairman: No one called you? Me: Nope. After waiting for you for an hour and a half I called your office. They told me you'd be by within an hour. Over two hours later I called back and everyone had gone home. They showed up as agreed (and faster than most of the other quoted jobs had been able to forecast they'd come) came in accurately on the bid, worked clean and tidy, and communicated well throughout. Our sales person was friendly and honest, explained the job to me, pointed out details other bidders had missed or skipped over, explained potential additional costs, and took his time. I immediately was made to feel like this was the right company and I wasn't disappointed. I especially want to speak about the project manager Adam. We found Pro-Long Roof Care through HomeAdvisor, and I really have to say that they did an outstanding job. We were desperately in need of replacement gutters, as our house had original seamless gutters from 1975 that were rotting away. Their quote wasn't the absolute lowest, but it was more than reasonable and they provided detailed information about exactly what they would be installing, in addition to a breakdown of costs on the estimate and invoice. Not a single other company that we received a quote from was able to do that, so I really appreciate the transparency. Service throughout was great, and although I wasn't present for the install day, my wife says that the installers were extremely kind and professional. As for the quality of work, I'm not expert but it looks to be a top notch job and we haven't experienced any issues so far. We have used Pro-Long Roof Care for more than 10 years. They just completed a shake treatment on our cedar roof - it looks brand new. We were extremely impressed with Rick and his assistant. They were careful to cover our drive, clean gutters and skylights. We have a very large roof, but Rick took all the time he needed to make sure the product was applied carefully and thoroughly. He took time to check the shakes, re-nail some and to reattach a gutter that had come loose. We had our roof tiles cleaned with prolong roof care. Right after, we paint our house and our painter informed us that there are several broken tiles on the roof which are not visible from the ground. The painter took the picture before they started the job. We informed the owner about the damage on which he said not replacing the roof will save us some materials. Not an answer we are expecting from a roof professional. We also engaged this company to replace the facia board below the gutter. at the same time. We ended up paying another contractor to fix the facia work (woods are not aligned, visible gaps in between, in short, messy job). This is almost a $5K job. We will never work with this company again. read more

I wont use them again. "Pressure wash exterior gutters included." I should have understood and negotiated that before hand. I stopped them from pressure washing gutters which would put water under the shingles. No alternative method and no price reduction for not doing it "Because we don't charge for it." Now that I'm mad I'm remembering I made them redo some areas where moss remained. read more

I used this company earlier in the year. I recently needed to do another roof cleaning, so was looking through my records and recalled what a terrible experience I had with Pro-long. I don't often write bad reviews, but I was so disappointed with the service that I want to warn others. So, I scheduled a roof & gutter cleaning. They sent around a couple of friendly, but inexperienced seeming younger men. They cleaned the roof well enough, but there was a huge amount of debris left lying around the perimeter of the house afterward. The two guys were running behind schedule and had to leave for the next job (I believe they said they were in a car accident, so I don't blame them for being late). They apologized for the mess, and said they would come back to clean it up later. Sadly, they did not come back. When I was cleaning up the area myself, I found numerous roof tiles mixed in with the leaf matter, which made me anxious about the state that the roof was left in. Looking back at my records, I paid Pro-Long 2.85 times more than the quote I just got from someone else to do the same job. I am astounded at my own stupidity for not getting more than one quote back then, but I am new to home ownership and went with a referral that a real estate broker gave me. Well, you live and learn, I guess. Hope you can learn from my experience and not make the same mistake. read more

Pro-Long gutters installed new gutters in May. A 16' gutter broke away for the fascia in this past snow storm. I explained it was not installed correctly, but they didn't want to hear it. They wanted another $499+tax just to come out and replace it. I had a different company come out and replace it for $200. They explained the gutter screws were too short as to why the gutter came apart in the snow. read more

New gutters were not installed in same configuration as existing. Instead of draining through downspout to existing in-ground drain they let half my roof spill out onto a lower roof and run across the shingles. I asked to have it corrected. They responded it was a good install and if I wanted to change it would cost $200 extra. After many phone and email exchanges they agreed to pay for half, but it still cost me an additional $100 to get the system put back the way it was before they removed the old system. VERY disappointed in their level of customer service. read more

At the end of February we found that our roof leaking to the point of rain soaking through the ceiling. Pro-long was recommended by another company we contacted first. Someone came out within the same week to check the damage. Turned out that the builder had used cheap material to comply with only the minimum code requirements at the time, and that the material was now starting to break down. Per Pro-long's recommendation we decided to replace the entire roof and add two solar tubes to the dark hallway and a bathroom without windows. Pro-long helped us secure a reasonable financing option and had the new roof installed within two weeks of presenting the estimate. Between the 50 year warranty on the material and 20 year warranty on labor I feel at ease knowing our home is now good to go after what I would consider the most expensive home improvement homeowners will have to invest in at some point. Also, highly recommend the addition of solar tubes for any dark rooms, it has made a world of difference for us. read more

after one disconnection, then one transfer, the third person I talked to seemed utterly clueless. I was looking for a roof certification as a SELLER - to pro-actively offer to potential buyers. I was quoted $250 by the person who then went on to tell me I was then obligated to have them come out every year for five years, and if there were any repairs were needed I was obligated to have Pro-long Roof care do the repairs at whatever add'l cost there was, because, you know, things happen to roofs. After repeating that I was SELLING, she did an aside question to someone & then came back on the phone & said we could assign the contract to the seller. When I said I could not nor would I require someone else to use them for future UNSPECIFIED repairs she then reversed herself & said, no we didn't have to use them for repairs. She was completely clueless, confused & lost us as a potential customer. I asked to speak with someone else, and she was unable to transfer us to anyone at that time. I declined to leave a phone number, feeling I had wasted enough time as it was. read more

Staffing Quality Control Issues We hired Pro-Long to clean the roof, remove debris from roof/gutters, and apply a moss treatment. I worked from home the day of the service. The junior tech arrived on time at 8:30 AM and started the job. Happened to step outside to hear him swearing profusely a few hours into the job. After lunch, a supervisor stopped by and was giving him tips (and I learned he had only been doing this for a few months). At 3 PM, the tech left without notice. Walking around the house, it was clear the job was unfinished as there was still moss on the roof, debris in the gutters and the moss treatment had not been applied. That evening, I emailed Pro-Long the details of the day along with several pictures of poor workmanship. The following day, the manger of Pro-Long called to apologize, made excuses for the junior tech, and stated the following week the job will be completed. He also acknowledged that if I hadn't complained, they would've thought the job had completed. The following Monday, a senior tech and assistant arrived at 9 AM to begin the job - again -- and completed around 3:30 PM. This time the job was correctly performed and no complaints. Several days later, the bill arrived via email. When I inquired about a discount for the issues and hassle, they eventually sent a new bill with a $25 discount, which is insulting. Eventually spoke to the manager on the phone again was unwilling to budge stating this had cost them more than expected already and his staff need to be paid fair wages. The bill included links to multiple social media sites if one was 'delighted', so here we are as a heads up for other customers. read more

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT use this company if you need new gutters. They installed new gutters on my house 4 years ago and I've had nothing but problems with them. I had to completely replace my 4 year old gutters this summer because they were so poorly installed. The low points are not at the downspouts so they overflow. They did not attach them to my house properly so they are too low and the water runs between my facia board and the gutter instead of flowing from the roof into the gutter. They have fallen off my house in several places. I had them out 9 months ago to reattach an approximately 15 foot area that had fallen off my house. This summer I noticed another corner coming off the house, then with closer inspection noticed two other corners coming off the house. They didn't use the proper screws or enough screws to keep them in place. They installed a drip edge with the original gutters 4 years ago and they NEVER stayed in place. The drip edge just laid in my gutters despite them coming out to put them back into place several times. I eventually just gave up on the drip edge. I called the company this summer to have them come look at the gutters to figure out why they keep falling off. The owner (Tony) was the RUDEST man I have ever worked with. He didn't keep his appointment with me because "traffic was bad and he wanted to go home for the day" instead of come out and look at my gutters and stand by his workmanship. When I challenged this thinking he said "I'm not going to drop a bunch of customers just to come out to look at your gutters." I wasn't asking him to drop anyone, I was asking him to stand by his schedule and come to my house. I had waited for him at my house throughout the entire 3 hour window and he didn't bother to call me and say he wasn't coming until 30 minutes before the window was over. He never said sorry, only blamed traffic and me for being unreasonable. I called the scheduler and had her reschedule my appointment. I mentioned that I wanted my husband to be home when Tony came out because I didn't feel he would respect me without him present. I was nothing but polite to the scheduler because none of this was her fault. She apologized for having to reschedule and said that she would pass on my concerns and rescheduled my appointment. Thirty minutes later the owner called me and told me he would not ever come out to my house nor would he send anyone from his company to my house because I was rude. We talked it out and he ended up coming out. He looked at my gutters and said they just need a few more screws. He said it would take awhile but he'd have someone come out and put more screws in. In the meantime, I had another company come out and inspect the gutters. They had so many problems I elected to cancel Prolong repairs (I don't think he would have come out anyway), rip the 4 year old gutters off my house and start over. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE IN EVERY WAY!! read more

I called a nice lady named Brittany @ 206.767.9929 for a leaky roof repair estimate after calling about 12 other companies that wouldn't even give me an estimate. In about an hour a friendly guy named Glenn showed up at my door, diagnosed the repair, completed the repair and gave me a roof estimate I asked for while I was writing him the check. EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!!!!!!! I am definitely putting them at the top of my list in a year or two when I will be replacing my entire roof. read more
