Ruiz was going to do it for $4,800 but I asked them to install 2 shift kits. With the shit kits it came to $5,500 out the door programming and all. It's only been a couple of weeks and a few hundred miles but so far my "new" transmission is great! I hope I never need them but if I have a transmission issue, I'll be back for sure.

The total charge for each item I requested a diagnosis on was $185 PER ITEM. For a total of $780+ Not only did they misdiagnose a cracked valve cover, as a leaky gasket, they misunderstood an issue with the automatic seat memory and charged me anyway. The cost to replace the ENTIRE valve cover was less than they quoted for the gasket replacement. Now we get to the good stuff. Their price to replace the blower motor was 575% higher than a comparable shop. The new fan works just fine thanks! Once I got quotes from another shop for the recommended maintenance, I knew I would NEVER take my car to them for anything! Overall their prices tended to be a minimum of 100% OVER that of a comparable shop. Oh, and they recommended a fuel injector cleaner be added to my gas tank, the cost of that product online was roughly $22.00, their cost to add it to my tank? $53! So to have an employee unscrew the cap and pour it in was $31? Now, they have sent me several discount coupons toward service in their shop... Thanks, but NO THANKS!

Checked the battery. Added some gas, because we were low. Nothing. They suggested we tow it to Pat's. I called, and he said to bring it in. Alex helped us right away and told us he would get somebody on it, so we could be on our way. We had a view from the rather clean office, and it wasn't looking good. Tech kept working, and he was able to find the problem. Had to get a part from Ford. They sent a guy over to pick it up, so they could get it fixed quickly. And they did at a cost that seemed very reasonable. We were off. Not the way we intended, but it could have been way worse. These guys were quick and efficient. A million things run through your head when you see that, my automatic response as a worry wort is "Oh my God, the car is going to explode" haha We took our car to another place in A.G. that we are used to going to, even though we just recently moved to Santa Maria. We were told that the light meant we needed a new thermostat because the engine wasn't heating up all of the way. They called us the next day with an estimate and it nearly made my brain explode, I could not compute O_o . So I decided to call around in town and when I called Auto Professionals I talked to a very nice girl who ended up quoting me a price that was 50% less than the original. So I decided to make an appointment. Got there early and they were already booming with business. They were nice enough to give us a ride back to our house because it would be a few hours. It ended up taking double the time, which was the only negative. We didn't have anything to do that day except to watch a lot of Dateline Real-life Mysteries, so it all worked out. When it was ready they picked us back up from our house and drove us on over. When we got there we found out they were able to save us a bit more money because a certain part wasn't needed.
