Finally dropped off on a Monday and he looked at car without starting itand said that I needed a new carburetor as he didnt like the edelbrock I had . He quoted me a price and I said okay. I called several days in a row as he had said would be overnight but by Friday I hadnt a call back. Called saturday and he wanted car out of shop and asked for cash. Price quoted for carburetor was 200 dollars more. What could I due but pay and get out. Car ran worse than when I brought it in. Later he told me he never drove it or dyno tubed it. Be aware if you bring in your classic car. Get a written quote and promise of work he will do. I would never be fooled again by his slick ads on radio.

Of all of the places I went, they were all very competent mechanics, but Andy & Lauri take the cake for Top Mechanic and Assistant. Efficient, complete, effective, affordable, and willing to listen and talk with you about your car needs. My car had a bad shake when I stepped on the brake, so he replace my rotors and took my car for a test drive voluntaraly (I can't hardly get most mechanics to do this when asked) to make sure it worked well. Andy said,"It worked good, but would probably be noisy for a few miles because of the coating on the rotors I had purchased." As predicted the noise was gone by the time I got home, and the ride was so much smoother. I was worried my brake pads might have worn prematurely because of the warped rotor, but he said they looked about 90% left so I was all good.

Jonny Prius & EV Repair- Negligence Cost Me an Engine…read moreRating: I am writing this to warn others--especially women--about the costly negligence I experienced at this shop. My car was towed here in November for overheating. I paid $565 for what I was told were the necessary repairs. However, the car overheated again almost immediately because the original problem was never actually fixed. Upon inspection, it appeared the thermostat had never been replaced. Because the shop failed to perform the initial repair correctly, my engine was severely damaged and completely failed, requiring a full engine replacement that cost thousands of dollars. When I went back, the owner tried to quote me $5,000 for a new engine to fix the damage his own negligence caused. I filed a formal complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). Following their investigation, the owner was forced to refund my $565 because he could not produce a single receipt or proof of what work he had supposedly done the first time. I ended up taking my car elsewhere to have the engine replaced. Do not take your vehicle here. Their lack of transparency and failure to perform basic repairs resulted in major mechanical failure for my car.
