NEVER AGAIN!!!! Have been going to Pro oil change for quite a few oil changes now and the upsell is always strong, but this last change was a bad experience. I was asked if I had any coupons and told them I would be using my Groupon today. Within minutes the fellow came over to me with the dipstick in his hand and said my car was out of oil. (I know for a fact that it was not) He then said they were going to do a engine flush to fix the "Gunk and Sludge" that was making the engine use oil. I refused and he tried to get me to buy some Lucas treatment. I refused it and said I would check with my mechanic friend. He replied with...Whats he gonna do? Anyway he asks me if I want anything else checked,I said I just want the oil change. I am treated very unfriendly and he comes and shows me the dipstick and says full now but still dirty!! Upon checkout he was very unfriendly not offering me any coupon for the next service like he did to the customer ahead of me. I looked at my invoice and it stated that the washer fluid was topped up,but it was still dry. I called them to complain and they said they would get back to me ...still havent heard a word.. I have now been here for 3+ oil changes, and while my experience has been good, this time the price jumped from $29.99 to $50. I questioned the bill before I paid and was met with a pleasant "you must have had a coupon sir" I was standing right in front of him while he was on the phone telling a new customer that there is a special on right now.... $29.99 Without further argument, I paid the asking price. It has been said many times that it is much less expensive to keep a customer than to replace one. Please put the $20 that you overcharged me to good use in finding a new customer to replace me... I won't be returning My advice is to make sure you know the price before they start the work and don't get lulled into that will be the price every time. read more

The employees here try to up-sell you anything and everything you do not need. Just like the other reviewers, they told me my oil was sludge and bone dry. The employee recommended a complete oil flush which for an additional $50. I knew this was not necessary, said no, and he returned to the bay after telling me it was a bad idea. Then the employee returns to the lobby to tell me I need a coolant flush, when I flushed my coolant 3 months prior. Also, I tried to pay using a $15 off coupon, assuming they would take that off the $29.99 advertised price on the highway signage. But apparently that is an already discounted price, so they charged me $45 minus the $15 coupon for my oil change. $30 is still a good deal for an oil change, but what's the point in using the coupon? Very misleading. Extremely un-impressed with the service and quality of workmanship. I will not be returning. read more

The first time I took my cars there I was quite happy with the service. The last time was a complete joke. My wife's car is a 2012 Forester with 30k on it. They told me it needed a transmission flush and front and rear dif fluid changes. They showed me what they said was a sample of my trans and dif fluids. I said no and that I'd deal with later. I then checked the owners manual and they tell me the trans and dif fluid changes aren't due til 100k. I checked the trans fluid in the car and it was clean as can be. They also did the cabin/air filter thing on me. I went to Wyatt and got both for far less than they would of charged me for one. Upon paying I asked about the 'Go Green' coupon that's out there on the web, they said that's unauthorized and they don't honor it. What a f@#king joke. I'll never be back, adios amigos! Worst service EVER. Overcharging customers with an insane mark-up $29.99 special, yet SOME HOW walked out paying $60... Pressure sold the crap out of me saying my Tranny needed a flush (literally just did it a few thousand k ago...) Tells me cabin air needs replacing at $70 (buy one for $20 bucks at a parts shop throw in, in 5 seconds.) And then says everything is leaking underneath and my car is going to die very shortly!!! oh no!!! Go and take it to friend after my check engine light comes on, service vehicle warning...and everything goes haywire. They PURPOSELY removed a sensor off my tranny, we re-install it restart the car, everything goes back to normal. NEVER EVER EVER DO ANY SORT OF SERVICING FROM HERE EVER. read more

Do NOT go here!! They are only about the upsale. A friend of mine actually got kicked out of the place for not agreeing to any of their extra service suggestions. She was told she had no oil on the dipstick and what oil was left was sludge. She knew this was not the case. After being kicked out she went to Jiffy Lube. The oil was low (just a bit below the FILL line) and there was no sludge. She was ready for an oil change, but no need for flushing and everything else Pro Oil had to offer. Jiffy Lube also shared a few interesting things about Pro Oil. Seriously take this review to heart before considering them to touch your vehicle. read more

This one of the best oil changes in Kelowna and fastest one. There are usually no lines for the services. On the summer they have slushies for FREE, so it couldn't be more kid friendly. The reviews here at YELP are not accurate anymore for this shop. The shop has a new owner since 2017 and the reviews are awesome as you guys can see on google. read more

I went in for an oil change, the service technicians were very friendly and I was told I needed a new oil filter, which I knew It would need to be replaced last time I had an oil change, elsewhere. So, after saying It was ok to replace, he showed me my old one, compared to the new one. I will be back for my next oil change. I was impressed with the overall service and all of the technicians. Won't be back, said my transmission fluid needed changing (just had it done).They also said my car did not use a fuel filter? What ? Oh and the best part they did not fill my car up with the right amount of oil ( found out a few days later). The only reason I have gone there a few time is the $15 coupon makes it a total of $35. And they are open early on Sat. But the two clowns working there that Sat should not be working on vehicles. read more

I came here once for a simple oil change. Now as they did an oil change. They came out several times to try and up sell there service. Said I needed a new oil pan. Said I needed there 70 dollar oil change vs the 40 dollar one. Then coolant, radiator fluid, and transmission and brakes. Before you know it would have cost over five hundred bucks. Talk about scam artist. Took my car across the street two weeks later. Did a brake fluid flush. And everything else was fine. read more

I found my over all service to be a pleasant experience. The staff were polite and I was out of there in less than 20 min and the cost was very reasonable. I noticed that they did all of there checks thoroughly as I have been to places where they miss some of the checks that they are supposed to come with the service. This business is not recommended. Refuses Groupon vouchers that have clear terms that state that the value can be applied to conventional and synthetic oil changes. No exclusions are listed. I would recommend you look elsewhere for affordable oil changes. read more

I went to Pro Oil twice. First time I was duped from a "$30" oil change to the bill totaling $50. The second time I didn't think it would happen again, and it did. This time as I asked why I was quoted one price but was paying the other the employee told me he in fact quoted me $60! When I stood up for myself and asked to speak with someone else he told the woman who helped me that I was "garbage" and to make sure I paid full price. WOW....not in a good way I sought this place out because I have never seen such poor reviews for a business in my life. How can so many people have the same, high pressure, dissatisfied, " guilt trip" experience and the business not change its ways. It was only fair I give them a fair trial.. I printed out my $20 coupon for the social marketing dealer and rolled into my "no appointment required" oil change. Before arriving however, a meticulous inspection of everything under the hood from fluids to dust in the corners. Right off the get go, maybe 30 seconds after opening the hood, a well dressed worker in charge of moving the cars in and out of the bays informed me that I needed a new headgasket( for those new to the car industry, this is the one of the biggest repair bills out there). There was an awkward exchange of my nodding and him going on about it, I thanked him for communicating the issue to me and that I would deal with it. A few minutes go by and the gentleman responsible for pouring in the new fluids comes in and also informs me of my head gasket issue. He also wanted me to know that the oil I was putting in was not up to the quality level that the establishment recommends and that I should put in the premium synthetic oil they have available. I declined, but was interrupted by a story of how he didn't put in the right oil and his high end vehicle needed a $3000 repair. After declining a second time, he returned to service my vehicle. Not sure if the gentleman was aware, but the glass in the waiting area was neither soundproof nor magical, and I had the pleasant experience of hearing him say, "just put in the conventional, the guy doesn't care" among other things I will leave unsaid. I kept my cool for the purpose of this exercise. A few more minutes past and the last worker (3 of 3) came in to show me my shiny new oil level on the dipstick. I approved and as the worker was leaving, asked me who I was going to take my vehicle to for the head gasket repair. Anticipating what was coming next, I played along and said, "Well I have a few places in mind, but nobody in particular. Before I could even get the words out, the employee lit up with excitement. To my surprise, this particular store has someone THEY RECOMMEND, someone that "I can trust and is an economical choice". Well was I ever grateful for the referral, I accepted the business card and said thank you. ( I think this referred company will be my next service audit) After paying my environmental fee, I drove down the road out of sight and looked under my hood. Oil was at an acceptable level, washer fluid full, coolant level was untouched, and the battery cover was unattached. I drove back in and asked the worker responsible for the fluids if the coupon included a fluid top up. He assured me yes and that he topped everything up. I showed him and he said he added some, but could add more if I wanted. Needless to say not a drop was added throughout the service, so after I was assured everything was topped up, the fluid worker told me he could add a little more, how generous. I asked him to send out the manager. I was told there wasn't a manager but the owner was here (turns out it was the well dressed gentleman), I said that was even better. I explained to the owner why I was there and had given him the stack of reviews I printed out that led me to the establishment in the first place. He told me they never offer anything that isn't required, and that the people on these review sites are crazy. I explained that sometimes a business can get a couple of bad reviews, but when 87% of reviewers are giving the exact same negative response from an experience similar to the one I received, it may not be the reviewers that are the problem. If I hadn't been on the inside track and counting on this experience going exactly as it did, as a customer I would never know I was being completely taken advantage of, a completely unacceptable business model. It won't matter how many coupons are printed, pulling a stunt like this is a recipe for 1 time customers (if that). read more

WARNING TO KELOWNA CONSUMERS! They offered a winter tire change over. I booked an appointment, after leaving my truck there with the tires in the back and handing over the keys to someone who drove it into their shop, they phoned me and said "We can only do tires that are already on rims, we don't have a tire machine." Can anyone else describe "Winter Tire Change Over Special". I took my car in with a prepaid voucher, prepaid $23 for an oil change on my car. I knew it was synthetic, in the fine print it said "additional charge for synthetic." I was okay with that. They charged me $99 for a "synthetic oil change" plus shop fees then took $23 off because I had a voucher. So, with a voucher deal I paid $75 for an oil change. I can get it done at the dealership for $90 with a tire rotation! Owner Quotes during concern over bill: "What, don't you expect me to make a profit?" "Well, if you can get it done for that much, take it there." "A mechanic is totally different, they can charge you what they want (less)!" "We can't compete with the dealerships." Upon hearing my dissatisfaction with getting overcharged: "Hey guys, get his plate numbers." "Why?" I ask him. "Because that is how I handle complaints and bad reviews." LOL... in a bad way. There was a nice lady there that tried to explain that they couldn't word it different in the deal so that synthetic oil customers would understand that the deal didn't apply to them. As we drove past all the other busy quick oil change shops we arrived to all empty bays at Pro Oil, now I know why. AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS. AVOID "Deals" that this shop claims to honor. You will not get a "deal" out of them. The owner was slightly pleasant for about 20 seconds then his anger and frustration started showing along with his threats. Not cool. Staff are VERY young. I am concerned about my $99 oil change now. Wish I had read the Google reviews before. Live and learn. Hope this helps people. read more

Best Auto Shop I have been to in the OK valley. The staff were polite, knowledgeable, and let me know about the services my car did or did not require. Some may call this an up sell but you cant up sell what is needed to keep a warranty intact or pro long your cars years. They informed me and I made the decision to proceed with the long over due maintenance that will extent my cars life. The only use the highest quality of fluids and parts, but you do get what you pay for. Overall an excellent experience. I will recommend this shop to all. read more

Had oil change and front differential service done a few months back and I was charged for the differential service but it was actually never done. I was also told that a broken part was found in the transfer case and referred me to their friends to get it fixed for $1,000. I never did, but took it to another shop who told me the part they gave me was never in the vehicle in the first place. Highly suggest you avoid this outfit. read more

To put it mildly...DO NOT GO !! I brought my 2010 ford truck in for a routine oil change. They came out with a list of " major problems" to quote them. They told me that the Ford warranty recommended that transmission fluid be replaced at 50,000 km. At the time my truck had approx. 65,000 km on it. They said they would be surprised if I hadn't already caused serious damage to the transmission. I agreed to have them replace the transmission fluid ( trusting them ) Which was a big mistake. When I got home I pulled my manual out and low and behold it actually said it should be replaced at 96,000 km. Unless the truck was used for heavy towing, off roading etc. Which I do neither of. They surprisingly failed to ask me this very important question. I called Ford to be sure that I was reading it right before calling Pro oil. YES I was reading it correctly so I called Pro oil. They stuck with their story and said that that is what Ford recommends !! I asked to speak to the owner several times, but my request was refused. I showed up at Pro Oil ready with a picket sign that said ' Beware. ask me how Pro oil ripped me off ' At this point the 2 owners approached me, and one of them was verbally abusive and wanted to fight !! They absolutely refused to refund me for the cost of the service, and all they offered was $50 ! I took the $50 and will never go back there again. I have told , and continue to tell friends and family to never go there. The people who work here at first glance appear kind, and honest, BUT beware, they give the same speel to everyone that goes there for a simple oil change. All it takes is a sit in the waiting room for 30 minutes, and a listen to what they say to everyone that is waiting for an oil change to see, that they rarely say that all that is needed is a regular old oil change !!! NEVER get anything other then an oil change here, go to your mechanic for everything else ! read more
