They did such a great job, I had them paint a bedroom and two bathrooms in my home. They use Hirshfield's paint, which provides gorgeous color and coverage. One bathroom was a dark, slate gray and another an eye-watering turquoise (my selections from a long time ago). The light gray they are now is gorgeous. My painter was neat, professional, and carefully protected carpet in the bedroom. I highly recommend FreshCoat Painters!

(I wish they had left a gallon of Goof Off Ultimate Remover.) Lowlights: Expensive! (You don't always get what you pay for.) Most of the prep work was dismal. Claimed to have completed the job when it was not yet done. Not consumer oriented Unprofessional Careless--left debris strewn about the yard. There are areas of overspray. The crew managed to splatter exterior paint on the interior of the door and trim. My security light fixture is covered in paint and the sensor pointed toward the heavens. This experience really made me wish my longtime painter had not retired. He was a craftsman of the highest order. He was meticulous. He always completed the job just as we requested. He excelled at his craft to such a degree that I was always happy to give him more than the estimated amount. We are in need of some interior painting. If anyone knows of a good painter, please let me know.

The first project was to paint a small bedroom ceiling. The painters arrived on the first day, left for lunch, and never returned. Two days later, one of the painters showed up unannounced. He sprayed the ceiling poorly and completely ignored spot-treating a water stain, all in the quote. He left for lunch and never returned until the next day. We had to have another company at our home painting the entire main level, and repaint the ceiling to fix the terrible job. We felt like we dodged a bullet. We were planning on having Slavic complete the whole project. BUT Nick Slavik's advertising keeps showing up in my mailbox EVERY WEEK! And it's impossible that a company that markets so well, is this successful AND IS CONSISTENTLY performing poor work, RIGHT?. I'll try them again. The second job was to enamel the wood trim, windows, four closet doors, and the inside of the bedroom door. I walked through our home and showed the estimator that all the other doors in the house were caulked and enameled--some from the original builder and others from a different painting contractor in the past 2 years. I also retrieved the paint cans with codes for the ceiling paint and enamel previously used at the estimator's request. He took photos of the cans' labels with the paint codes and type. Not that it mattered, but they used what they wanted from another retailer anyway. Unbelievable! Why ask? By the way, we had previously used Benjamin Moore. From the start, things went south. They wanted to get our project on a schedule/calendar, and we agreed on the start date. Then, two or three emails arrived asking to start earlier, and I agreed. Later, they changed it to another day, and finally, another email, and the original day was planned. Nick Slavic Painting did a horrendous job! Be prepared! Inexperienced painters, who I am assuming are told to "get in and get out!" They did not putty nail holes in any of the wood trim. Before I stopped counting, I counted at least 13-14 nail holes in the wood trim. They left unfilled cracks in the wood trim and only sprayed one coat instead of two. One day, standing out on our deck while they were painting the windows, still hung, another first. I've never seen a painter not remove the windows to paint them. I noticed they had missed the entire top of the windows--something I would not have seen until summer, while on the deck above. A company that wants to cash a check and not care if the job was done correctly or not! Get ready for one excuse after another when they start, all the way to the end. And you better not pay them before you are 100% happy. Nick doesn't care! Also, you should expect their painters to stand around for two hours at the end of the day to get their hours logged while doing nothing. Time that could have been spent doing better work! I repeat! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! In response to Nick's Response: The same people who made me chase them around for an answer or solution to your poor workmanship for 2 weeks? The same estimator who walked through the home, pointing out all the caulked doors on his first visit? Someone has a problem with the truth. I was respectful and patient with you, project coordinator, painters, and estimator throughout the fiasco. It wasn't until you made me chase and chase to get a resolution, all while you held up a complete lower-level remodeling project. Your answer was, "Read your contract". I have been in business for 39 years. I would never dream of treating a customer like Nick and his team treated me.

We had a few painters say they would show up to give an estimate and never did. So we were extremely happy to see some follow through. We had never hired a painter before so the quote we received was higher than we budgeted for. Because of the weather and the time crunch we were looking at, he lowered the price to a level we felt was fair. We had our house painted within 3 days from the time we got our free estimate to the day the work was finished. It only took 1 day to paint the front of our house and we were very happy with the results. We would hire them again for all future painting needs.

When a couple of concerns came up, he addressed them quickly and ensured we were satisfied with it. The crew was professional, quick, and very skilled. We have a stucco house with wood trim, and I appreciated the expertise in the painting techniques used to paint those surfaces; it all turned out great. If you need something painted ASAP, they will get the job done, but if you want it done well I'd recommend finding one of the other well-rated painting businesses in town (they often have waitlists in the 1-3 year length!). We had purchased a home that was overdue for painting, so we had to get it done in 2022, and they did an adequate job at the time. Like other reviews have mentioned, Paris isn't a very detail-oriented company. The workers who were sent out to prep our house didn't know it had lead paint, so had to be reminded to take precautions with laying dropcloths, wearing masks, etc. (This happened essentially every time we had someone out to work on the house over the three years we've worked with them.) People have repeatedly come into our yard without warning to look at the site, one time leaving our gate open so our dog escaped. During the main work, the project manager was rarely on site. Hardware was put back on our house upside down (house numbers and shutter hardware). Workers often didn't know which colors went where. Once the paint was "finished" we had to call them back once if not twice to have someone come out and catch places that were not fully painted. But by the time they were finished in 2022 the house looked good! In 2023 the house still looked okay, but by 2024 the paint had begun to bubble and peel, mostly because the prep had not been done sufficiently. We had Paris out to look at the house in 2024 and they did a little bit of touch-up, but only in the very specific places I pointed out, and even missing a few of those. The places I pointed out were supposed to be examples of the overall issues. In 2025, with our warranty running out, we had them back out to do the touchups. Again the first time workers came out, they only addressed a few of the specific places I had highlighted, even though the majority of every exterior wall was peeling and needed work. Eventually I took 20+ photos of the most egregious issues and those were addressed. I can't remember how many times we've had someone out this season. We weren't fully satisfied by the final visit, but decided we'd had enough of dealing with them. I'm sure we'll continue finding issues-- we recently discovered that workers caulked our garage attic access door shut (?!) without us asking them to, so that had to be cut open again and damaged the paint once again. Basically, if you hire Paris, be prepared to serve as your own project manager. Without our repeated follow-ups the work would have been a 1-star or 2-star quality. As it is, I'd rate the experience as "okay."

We put it out a couple of days and met on a Friday. I was told that the bid would be to me on Monday. Putting this out three additional days. To this day, almost two weeks after, I have not received a bid from Bella Casa Painting. This turned out to be a waste of my time as I am on a schedule to get my house ready to sell. Now onto the the actual work. I contacted them months ago for some estimates and Jim/Virgil was great to work with. He came out as requested and gave fair estimates for both drywall work, replacement stairs, and ceiling work. He even came out a second time to give an estimate for some replacement siding. The drywall crew consisted of two guys who spent a few days working on a small section in the basement, they made sure to make things look their best and did a decent job cleaning up each night. They were polite and always listening to my feedback. 5 stars there. The siding guy came out and replacement some cedar shakes on the side of the house that were missing from an old deck removal. He did a great job and cleaned up the worksite very nice. I was impressed with the speed. Again 5 stars. Jim himself came out for the ceiling work, he did a great job hooking up the electric and making sure the panels lined up to the existing grid. Again 5 stars. My only gripe was the billing, Their online system worked, but I think some deposits I made were just lost. Regardless they eventually took care of it... so updating my review to reflect this.
