Another well deserved 5 star rating. Made my 8 year old wool wall to wall carpets look and smell like new. In the past I've had North coast cleaning, Coit and other companies shampoo my carpets. None of those companies got my carpets looking so clean. Bonus: no noxious chemical aroma. Pro Steam did not use skin irritating enzymes nor artificial smelling chemicals. The way Mike treated me the last time he cleaned my carpet was unacceptable. I was a repeat customer. This time he charged more money than in the past. When I started to ask him what had changed, he interrupted me, told me he was "way ahead of me," and walked out of the room. How rude. After he finished cleaning the carpet and I was paying him, I asked my question. He looked up at the ceiling and said "it's a burden being right all the time." How arrogant. Who treats people like this? Mike does. He said he could charge me $1 or $400. He said he could have charged me even more money, but that he is "very astute about human behavior" and he could tell that I "wouldn't go for that." After he left, I called the flooring company who referred me to Pro Steam and told them about Mike's unprofessional behavior so they don't recommend Pro Steam to unsuspecting customers again. read more

Just had our carpets cleaned by Mike at ProSteam. This company's work is not just steam as the name refers to. We were very pleased with the end result. Our very old and stained (cat, dog & kids) carpets really turned out amazing. He did a pre-vacuum, then pre-stain spray, then a circular scrubber then steamed it and finished off with a rake and put out 6 fans to dry quickly. Mike was professional, prompt, courteous and a hard worker. He was meticulous with his work and cleaned up perfectly. In response to his prices, no, he isn't the cheapest steam cleaner available, but he does much more than just steam clean. We are very pleased with the experience we had with him today and will use him again next time. read more

We had them in our home this morning and are less than pleased. After using our restroom first thing. He then was rude to my husband and wouldn't wait to deal with my elderly landlord since he raised the quoted price. Didn't even wait to come to a solution with my husband after all the work my husband put into our home to get ready for him to clean our carpets. And just took off and of course no one answers the office phone or returns a phone call I find ur response just as rude as my husband said u were. This review is long overdue...Mike came out and did an amazing job on our carpets. We purchased the house and the previous owners burned a lot of candles and the black soot or whatever was definitely in the carpets and built up near the baseboards. Mike was very clear in the beginning with my wife that he would make it look much better but it couldn't be perfect. We were good giving it a shot because if he could at least get them looking good, then we could hold off on replacing the carpet for a year or so. He was a man on a mission, stayed later than expected, and made the carpets look better than we expected. It's been two + years now and we're still rocking the same upstairs carpet cleaned by Mike. Anyone who knows me knows that a clean house is as good as it gets for me. Sad but true. Mike did a great job cleaning cleaning and applying sealant to our floor tile and grout. The older tile in the entry way and kitchen area looks like new and the newer porcelain tile in the living room, loft, three bedrooms and two stairways is spotless and looks beautiful again. Mike had the right equipment to do the big job in about 7 hours including drying time for the sealant. Mike was very polite and professional--he arrived on time, provided a written estimate and started to work immediately. I've lived in Sonoma County for 20 years, and I've hired many carpet cleaning companies. They have always done an adequate job, some better than others but I've never had a company clean better than Pro Steam. Mike is the owner and operator and he does all the jobs himself (with an assistant). He uses a multi-step process by first vacuuming, treating spots, cleaning, raking and then vacuuming again. It may not be exactly in that order, but my point is that the cleaning is very thorough. He also cleaned my couches which are in desperate need of re-upholstery. Since he cleaned them, I will definitely put that off because they look and smell fabulous. They are 10 years old and they look almost new. It's amazing. Mike has made a faithful customer out of me. "Magic" is not too strong a term for what Mike managed to do with our carpets. Our hallway carpet, in particular, had suffered horribly from the fact that that's where our dear, beloved kitty likes to dismember gophers and rats. Good kitty for catching the vermin and all, but it sure would be nice if you'd eat them outside. But no, the hallway carpet is his special place, and after a few years of that, it looked it. It now looks absolutely brand new. Mike may possibly not be the cheapest; I wouldn't know, because I've never used anyone else. But his results are absolutely tops; couldn't be any better. Mike has been cleaning our carpets for years. I tried the "in and out" carpet cleaners, which are cheaper, but the work shows the difference. He always spends a lot of time here and is meticulous and thorough. The carpets are dried before he leaves and he uses the best equipment. The other "cheaper" cleaners leave a sloshy mess are in and out in 45 minutes and the stains are back in weeks before the carpet was not deep cleaned.
