Pro-Touch Painting Contractors are my go to painters! Our exterior paint was 13 years old and we wanted to refresh and update the colors. Being retired, I was a little worried about prices, but Roger put my mind to rest and came in with a great bid - I had performed some basic caulking and prep work and Roger gave me credit for that. Paint day came and I couldn't believe Rogers skill and professionalism. Even though I was probably underfoot - he took the time to show me some tips and make suggestions I hadn't thought of. Rogers experience really show up in his work. I know you always do worry about overspray and I've attached a picture of the front of my house and roses that are dear to my Wife - Not even a drop of overspray. It is unfortunate that I had to give a one star review to Roger (same name as me) for his actions today. I thought he would be our painter for the long haul, but it appears that he is not a good fit for us and I would caution those seeking for a painter. Roger does good work, don't get me wrong but his customer service is way below industry standards. The first time we hired him he over sprayed and painted all our landscape rocks but thankfully he was willing to replace the damage from the overspray. I was not upset and we moved on with no issue. After that service I asked him a question about whether he thought something that wasn't painted should have been painted. I was really asking, not complaining. His response? He lost it and was extremely rude when answering, so I brushed it off as him having a bad day. Today...Roger did a great job again, he painted our garage all around and even was willing to give me a discount on his asking price. Furthermore, he was willing to make our job possible even though he said he was really busy. All this was appreciated and I voiced it. THE PROBLEM: Roger told the texture guys to leave everything covered and protected (a service I paid for which included cleanup, this was to his benefit), he however decided that I needed to quote "get off my lazy ass" and do it myself after he completed our paint service. He even told me to call those guys back to clean up as if they would after they were under the impression that he would do his job. He then mentioned that he gave me a discount, as if this justified his actions. So in other words because he gave me a discount I needed to clean up after him. I couldn't believe what he said and the lack of professionalism. I told him "I just wish you would've told me that." Because then I wouldn't have hired him. And his response was "I don't have to." His lack of customer service is unacceptable and I will NEVER call him back or refer anyone to him, even though I have without him knowing. I can't vouch for a guy like that. If you hire him, be on the lookout for his temper. And make sure that the cleanup is included because apparently in his mind it's not. And the customer should "get off their lazy ass" and clean it up themselves. Even though he was paid $500. He got loud and continued saying things as he left but all I said was: "Thank you and God Bless You" several times. I hope this helps. Roger is very unprofessional hard to talk to and no other words a hot head. I had him scheduled to do a very simple project when he did not show up, I called him then he made up a story he was there and left because no one was there. When I informed him that the security cameras did not place him on the project as he stated. He became raged told me to go F&^%K myself and find another painter. Proper business ethics is to at least make a call to see if there was a misunderstanding if he was there, not Roger he lacks business and customer communication. I caution anyone working with him his behavior is dangerous you just do not know what to expect. With all the painters out there do yourself a favor move on. Life is to short to have people like Roger to deal with. I was able to find several other painters in the area that wanted the project and was much more pleasant to talk too. So glad that we hired Pro-Touch Painting to paint the interior of our home after we just renovated it. We initially hired Roger because we vibed so well, but out of desperation to get our home painted the same day, we went with another painter that was available. This was a terrible mistake as the other painter ruined our ceilings by leaving streak marks everywhere. With my tail between my legs, I begged Roger to come back and am so thankful that he did. Roger was very conscientious about ensuring that he was going to get the deck looking good and in the end it looks great! While he didn't end up power washing the horizontal surfaces because the boards were over 20 years old and they had multiple layers of stain, he stained over the top making it really brighten up. Only time will tell if the stain will hold out. The vertical boards are amazing and he did a few extra things like replace a board and stain an extra bar table and stools.
