Myron did a great job in painting the exterior of my home. Myron repaired the dry rot on my facia boards by replacing the rotted ends and then blending in the repaired ends to the rest of the facia board. He masked off the perimeter of my house very well protecting my concrete, cameras, lighting fixtures, and door hardware. When he painted my house he made sure the exterior surfaces were coated well by spraying and then back rolling the surfaces. In performance of his methods he left my house not only looking great but he also provided an excellent barrier for weather. Myron charged exactly what he quoted and what he quoted us was a screaming deal. The price of the paint was included in the quote. We got an estimate on the same job from a friend a few days before we called Thomas and Sons and our friend wanted double what Myron charged us. I had Thomas & Son's complete an interior painting in my home office. After I chose the original color of the room they began by preparing the baseboards, windows, removing the wall outlet covers with masking tape, and covering the floor. On several occasions, as a child, I assisted my mother in painting the interior of her business. Now as I am almost 74 years young I could appreciate the work of Thomas & Son's. Thomas & Sons Painting did a horrible job on the interior of my house. They spray painted the bottoms of the refrigerator and dishwasher, the stainless steel sink and faucet and glass light fixtures that were on the floor in the closet. They neglected to paint the exterior side of the doors entering the house from the garage and the door in the kitchen going out to the yard. They left closet rods on the floor and masking tape over fixtures. The cabinet doors were only painted on one side. They also left empty paint containers in my garbage can. The owner said that he would correct anything that wasn't done right. However, considering the mess that they left, I will not permit them to paint anything on my property again. Having to pay someone else to clean up the mess. read more

Unbeliveable. It actually cost me more to have another paint company come in and repair the work that Thomas and Sons did or rather "didn't do" on the exterior of the house than what they charged me. They left dry rot everywhere and instead of replacing the wood they covered it up with caulking then simply painted over the caulking???!!! What a mess. Let me also add he has anger issues when confronted about with his work. On the interior of the house Thomas and Son's Painting used two different shades/colors in our living room /dinning area. I think they were running out of paint and rather than buying more they just added water. Suddenly there was plenty of paint to finish the job. Needless to say before we (should we decide to move) will need to have the interior RE-Painted. I have contacted the BBB and The State of California Contractors to help recover my lost $ Money. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I interviewed several painters and Thomas and Sons definitely made me feel comfortable and good about the decision to hire them. Not only did they not complete the work on time but they also ruined my carpets - IN MY NEW HOME!!! The paint job was awful and they screwed up the paint and were unable to give me the colors to touch up and reorder. They came back twice to try and fix it and put additional holes in my wall in order to color match. The patch work is awful so now they ruined my carpet and my walls. They don't return phone calls and the owner yelled at me on at least two occasions, like the mistakes were my fault. Do not use these guys. They said they would prep everything and made me feel very comfortable up front but then they just did the quickest, spray job possible with overspray and surfaces that shouldn't have been painted covered with paint. When confronted about this, the owner blew up, acted crazed and wouldn't even communicate about the problem. They advertise coupons and special pricing which is just a gimmick, they don't honor it. I felt overcharged for the quality of work and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone even my worse enemy. read more

Very light on exterior paint. After paying a lot of money for the job, never came back for paint and adhesive cleanup. Left adhesive all over window frames and paint drippings on the patios. Made several appointments for the clean up, however, was a no show. Requested the best exterior paint, but think his company used an inferior paint because paint is very light and not uniform. I needed my kitchen painted in my house. I would usually do the work myself but getting to old. So I look on Angie List, craigslist ads and found Thomas & Sons Painting in the Penny saver, contacted him via cell phone on a Friday. He responded promptly to my call and fit me into his schedule that following Monday for him to come by for a free estimate. We agreed on the quote (great quote!) and all work fully guaranteed. So, we agreed for him to start Wednesday that week. The job required filling in some small hole and patch work also to match the texture on the kitchen ceiling. One day for the patch work and texture to dry and second day to paint. Mr. Thomas did a great job! He was always on time for those days. He is a true professional and takes pride in his work. I highly recommend him for any painting work indoors or outdoors. I will hire Mr. Thomas (Myron) to paint additional rooms in my home in the future. read more

Myron Thomas did a fabulous job when hired to power wash the exterior of my mobile home and separate garage when preparing to sell my home. He arrived promptly to evaluate the work required, provided a very reasonable estimate and did not charge extra when the job took longer that expected. He pointed out several areas of trim that needed repair, which he took care of for a small additional fee. I appreciated his honesty in stating that the paint (though nearly 10 years old) was in good condition and he did not try to sell me a new paint job. If only I knew of this sight. The worst painters ever. They showed up with no drop cloths, so used ours. They only covered half of the entertainment center & beds. We emptied the rooms of all but a few large pieces as we were told they would be ok and careful of the items. They only covered half of entertainment center & beds. The over spray went through the house and when I asked about it I was told there is no way it be prevented. I suggested they tape a plastic door to keep it in. They just closed the door.The contract states carpets were to be covered even though they were going to be replaced, as we had a dog & cat and didn't want paint tracked onto hall floor. they got paint on the floor and when I told them about it I was told it comes right off. I placed a sheet on the floor to help save our wood floors. I brought up drips on doors and walls and was told its the material the door was made of. I saw him using water alot and yes he was watering down the paint. He painted the wrong wall as the accent wall and then charged me for more paint for the accent wall as he said he didn't estimate for the bigger wall. When he finished the paint was wet and when areas were pointed out that needed tough up, I was told paint was wet it will be better when it is dry.I have spent the last four days cleaning paint of everything. I have since called him 7-8 times asking for Myron to call so the areas that are missing paint can be addressed and have not heard from him. Looks like small claims is my only option. I wouldn't give him any stars if I could do that. For those considering Thomas & Sons painting I can only say Run & don't even think twice. read more

Me and my boyfriend had just bought our home so we were trying to do our homework before hiring a painter. We had multiple offers for the interior paint but when we met Myron he really knew how to sell it. What can we say we were fooled by how detailed he was. Needless to say he wasn't the lowest bid we got but he was very detailed on what he was going to do for us. He did the job in three days as promised but he did a sloppy job. He left us a mess that took me over three hours to vaccumm and clean. Then when we called him he promosied to come back and do touch painting in a day. We had one week and he knew it to have all the painting done on the inside before we moved in. Well he didn't come back and do the touch painting until over a week after we moved in. He was even a grouch when he came back and did the paiting. On top of everything he was in such a rush. I put up over 50 sticky notes where he missed or painted where he wasn't suppose to. On top of that he charged me extra for his skrew up. Worst professionals i ever met. I was sooo disapointed and hope no one ever hires this guy again. I asked for touch paint and the paint he left me was the wrong one. I left dozens of voicemails and his wife promised he would call me back. Two months later i have yet to get a response. PLEASE DONT' HIRE THIS GUY. HE REALLY HAS SOME ISSUES. read more

I hope that this review will help negate the unflattering reviews a few others have posted. What I can tell you from my experience is that Myron and his team painted the interior of home beautifully. I was let down by a painter I had hired to complete a job 6/13/15 and 6/14/15. I saw Thomas & Sons Painting online and gave them a call. Myron answered the phone Friday afternoon while on another job. I explained my situation and he was kind enough to make the effort to "fit me in". He was at my home that Friday evening, provided me with a very competitive quote, left me with the color swatches to choose some colors over the weekend and was at my home first thing Monday morning. All the prep was done Monday. Myron was back with his team Tuesday morning and completed the job by 6:30 that evening. Myron was a pleasure to work with. He also touched up any areas I felt needed done right then and there. The crew cleaned up my home from any prep work and left it perfectly. He was professional, accommodating, gave great feedback about color choices and was eager to make sure I was happy with the outcome.
