Since 1972 I have owned a total of 8 different Volvos - have 2 right now. ( current mileage on my S70 - 167000, S40 - 60000). There are two things you can count on with a Volvo: 1) Follow the scheduled maintenance and the car will take care of you. 2) Follow the scheduled maintenance at a Volvo dealer and you will go broke. Pro Vo Vo will handle all scheduled maintenance items for a much lower price. The mechanics are Volvo trained and the service is exceptional. They follow the standard scheduled maintenance you see in your booklet. I save over $75 just for a normal oil change. If you can get to Freehold it is worth the time and trouble. My friend lives in Freehold and RAVED about these guys after they bought a used Volvo from these guys a few years back. I live 25 miles away and own a Volvo. Plastic piece holding the wire that makes the inside rear left fit snug when closing the roof for our C-70 convertible snapped after 8 years. Dealer said I had to replace the entire head piece on the inside of the convertible, cost around $1,500. Called Pro VoVo, made an appointment and then stopped in. 20 minutes later the problem was fixed for minimum cost compared to the dealer. Great service, NICE PEOPLE, and problem solved. 2 weeks later, rear right same thing. Owner laughed at the coincidence. Once again, made an appointment and once again PRO VOVO fixed the problem. I have taken my Volvo here since owning it and had good service but each time someone was complaining at the desk about something. Today I found out the hard way that if others always seem to have an issue eventually you will as well. They were rude and argumentative and even disrespectful. They said they don't check voicemails so if you leave the car in the night drop and leave them a message on their voicemail they will not even try to call you to say they don't know what to do. They waited until I called them while I waited patiently for them to call me to say the car was done. They didn't apologize for the miscommunication didn't service the car, and treated me horribly to make matters even worse. Please proceed with caution when going to this repair shop. I even asked for the owner and they refused to let me speak to him over the phone saying I didn't "get to"! So disappointed in this result as I had previous good service, however I now know why every time I was there someone was yelling. read more

We used to take my wife's car there. We really weren't too impressed with the service but he was the only mechanic nearby that was reasonable. My wife made the mistake of challenging the owner on an item and they started to jerk us around. They kept telling us the part would arrive the next day after five days of this, we picked Up the car -no work had been done .The woman who gave us the key had an embarrassed look. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody, as it so happens I have a friend on the other side of the county who referred me to a foreign car a specialist that he uses And I am now very happy. read more

My 2011 XC90 is getting old (150k miles) and never needed any service, but I wanted to see how the car is doing to decide whether to keep it. I dropped the car for an oil change and evaluation. Eric went over the car and discussed it with me. He explained many of the options and potential issues with me. He spent more time with me than all other mechanics in my lifetime combined! He also really knows these cars from relevant experience. He also didn't give the attitude that the car is old so I should just give it up and didn't try to sell unnecessary services. For all the time he spent on my car, the charges worked out equivalent to an oil change anywhere else! I will be back there to maintain my car there and give it a long life. read more

My family has been taking our fleet of 4 Volvos to Pro Vovo for as long as I can remember. I now live in Pennsylvania and still make the trip to Freehold, where my parents live, because George and his team of mechanics are the best and most professional mechanics I've encountered. They use genuine Volvo parts, not cheap parts like some mechanics use, so when I get things replaced, I know that they're done correctly and that the replacement parts will last. Most importantly, I've found that the mechanics at Pro Vovo are honest and never try to sell you on a part that you don't truly need (vs. what happens when you take your car to a dealership). Any repairs I've had done at Pro Vovo are done quickly, correctly, and are very affordable compared to dealership prices. Their administrative staff member, Karen, is great at her job and efficiently handles all of the paperwork. Last month, I sold my 9 year old Volvo and purchased a used XC-90 from Pro Vovo. George meticulously inspected my new car and made even the smallest of replacements/repairs for me before I purchased the car. I had such a great experience purchasing my used car and am thrilled with the outcome. I really couldn't recommend them enough. If you want the red carpet service and a Keurig then by all means please go to a Volvo dealer. If you want fair pricing and no-nonsense service/maintenance for your Volvo then Pro VoVo is for you. I own two Volvos and find myself there often to get oil changes. I have never witnessed anyone complaining or upset. Let's face it nobody likes to find out that their vehicle needs a repair that costs hundreds of dollars but if you want your car to take care of you and your family you need to take care of it and Pro VoVo does it at a fair price.
