I am a bipolar psychiatric patient of Dr. Rachman. Or should I say was?? This is all because of the front office. I left a bad review and they called saying that we get a 30 day supply of meds, and we then needed to find a new doctor? I said we because they cut my husband off also. The reason given was that Dr Rachman does not have a license to practice in CO which is where we're are. They are in IL we are in CO I get it, except we moved here 6 years ago and they finally decide the day after a bad yet very accurate review that this is an issue???? The front desk over the years has yelled at me, belittled me, made me cry, told me a mentally ill person that I was taking to much medicine and they were going to talk to my doctor about me crying?? I am mentally ill, yes, which is why you don't hire rude, impatient, controversially, insensitive, etc, etc, etc people to run the front of the house. Actually one of those unkind ladies is the owner wife. I always forget that part. She likes to leave 5 star reviews for their practice. I have nothing to say about the doctors or therapist that work there. But they need to know who is dealing with their patients. Although Dr Lendvay, the owner of the practice must know his wife right?? Which means they don't care about patients because why would he ever let her deal with the public, let alone mentally ill yet vulnerable people. It is hard enough to ask for help and then be verbally abused by the front desk? Please if you read this and need help, please don't stop here. 10yrs I was with Dr Rachman and like that the front office cut me off, not the doctor. Look me up I have left 4 reviews in my life, 3 of which are about Proactive Behavioral Services. I didn't get out of bed for days when you refused to refill my prescription one time. Impossible to reach. Don't waste your breath leaving messages as no one calls you back. Drs work very few hours and office staff is a far cry from being happy. It is not a warm and welcoming environment by any means. read more

I used to see Dr. Fagerson but he wasn't returning my calls, so I made an appointment with another doctor at the practice to refill my prescription (I ran out about 2 weeks ago and have been off of them due to my pharmacy not refilling without a doctors approval). The office is very confusing and I called ahead of time to find out where to go. The receptionist on the phone did not give me accurate directions. I had to call a friend who also goes to the practice to help me find someone to talk to. Once I sat down with Dr. Rachman I was already tearing up from frustrations from my previous psychiatrist and the confusing office layout. Dr. Rachman asked me the usual questions. He asked if I was sleeping okay and when I told him I was smoking weed to help me sleep, he told me I was a drug addict. He then asked about school and when I told him I wasn't in school for a number of personal reasons, he decided to give his unsolicited opinion on how I can never be successful unless I have a degree. One of those personal reasons is due to my ability or lack there of in focusing on school work. I suggested that I could have ADHD and was never diagnosed and my attention span and ability to focus have been getting worse. He completely ignored all of that discussion and proceeded to ask me more. I told him I have PTSD from being raped at a young age. When he asked me to describe what happened I was obviously getting very emotional having to recant exactly what happened to me. He asked if I had reported it and then proceeded to tell me that I actually wasn't raped based on the details I provided. The cherry on top was he asked me to remove me mask if we remained a 6ft distance, but the seat he told me to sit in when I entered the room was less than that distance. I chose to keep my mask on and he asked to remove it again. DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. Before he kicked me out of his room to make time for his next appointment he recommended that I schedule a session with my therapist to get my "mood under control" after he just shat on my life. When our session was over and I was in tears from his belittling of my very valid feelings and the receptionists asked me if I was okay. At this point I broke down, was crying harder than I have in years and asked if next time I can see a different psychiatrist because I didn't like the way he was speaking to me. She told me no and asked what he was saying. Her response was "He's just very straightforward." Both receptionists we're NOT wearing masks either. 10/10 would not recommend this office. read more

I see Alberto Minzer at Proactive Behavioral Services Counseling. I'm pretty happy with life, but I didn't have the focus I wanted. Alberto invigorates my spirit, motivates me and I feel more focused and empowered. I have some big changes upcoming in my life, and I feel more confident about taking them on. I recently had someone very close to me pass, and Alberto made some extra appointments available, which was very helpful. He puts honest stuff on the table, which lets me name it, claim it and either work with it or shed it. It's nice to work with a therapist on tools for living. read more

If you are looking for a new doctor, I would NEVER recommend going to Proactive Behavioral Services. The receptionists are all very rude, and numerous times I saw them laughing at the patients. They staff are very inefficient when it comes to returning their patients calls. Many times I would have to wait 5-6 days to hear back from the doctor that I was seeing at the time or the nurse. Dr. Rachman was more interested in dishing out samples of psychotropic drugs from the pharmaceutical companies than actually taking any interest in the overall well being of his patients. His professional conduct was very rude and unprofessional in the one emergency situation that I experienced. He returned a call from the office's crisis line after about 2 hours of waiting. I was screamed at and hung up on, being told that "he was on the train and was too busy to help me". There was never a sense of urgency or wanting to help the patients. This office will gladly charge you or your insurance company a lot of money, but as far as caring for their patients goes, it was a total joke and a complete nightmare!!! read more

I made an appointment just to see if they would be a good fit for me. I was not certain if my insurance would cover their services. I was told that I would see a counselor to make sure. I made an appointment and it was rescheduled by them, twice. I went on the time they told to come by, and sat down with a therapist to determine my eligibility. I was told that I would be contacted in two days with the results. The next day, I was given a $289.00 bill. First, a bill for the phone call consultation. Second, for the time I went to see the "therapist". It was considered a bill for sitting down to possibly make an appointment for seeing someone. WTF? I was charged twice, once for talking with someone over the PHONE about making an appointment. The second was for sitting down with someone to determine if I was eligible for insurance benefits. I was told that once I signed paperwork stating that I would give away my first born, that they meant it. It is funny - when I went there and sat down with the paperwork, I was told it was "preliminary" and did not count without the counselor's signature. Go figure, I took that as something to trust. I've been seeing Alberto Minzer for psychotherapy now for about a year and a half. I can attest that Alberto has helped me become aware of my own strengths that have enabled me overcome and manage many challenges and stresses in my life. He is an excellent listener and allows me to get in touch with my authentic self. I act compassionately towards myself and others more often as a result of the healing I've experienced during the time I've been working with Alberto. I recommend his services to anyone in need of mental, emotional, and spiritual healing as well as those in need of being heard. read more

The staff and asociates at PBS are extremely unproffessional and completely degrade their patients, often making fun of their conditions. They are not flexible with appointments and payment options. Dr. Rachman in particular has no intention of even pretending to listen to your problems. The "cattle-like" treatment of patients is extremely alarming. I also feel that my calls were never returned, I was never truly listened to and most importantly I never received the help that I paid massive amounts of money for. Expect to wait long for the appointments and only speak to the doctors for about 5 mins before they shoo you away with whatever prescription they are promoting at the time. Really the group should be disbanded for terrible medical practices. read more
