Pro Boxing Supplies is a legit place to get quality fight gear for affordable prices. I heard about this place as a member of the USC Boxing Team, and they help put up the rings/canvas for some of our tournaments, and we buy all our heavy bags and ring equipment from PBS for use in our gym. The bags in particular are good quality and hold up well. I also have been here personally a few times for individually fight gear. I've bought groin protectors, gloves, headgear, and workout equipment (medicine balls, etc.) here before and everything has held up well. Like a lot of boxers, I used to shop primarily online, just for the sake of convenience. In PBS I've found a reliable place to check out gear in person. The store is a bit cluttered and messy but it didn't hamper me from finding what I needed. The prices are more expensive than some of the things from titleboxing, but the quality is far superior. Of course there's higher and lower end stuff, but they have a lot of inventory and you get great value for what you pay for. They do carry some Reyes and other brands, but mainly have their in-house Pro Boxing gear. I'd say it's Ringside type quality but slightly cheaper, with the added benefit of trying them on in person rather than online. In fact, it can just get dangerous sometimes because I tend to get overly excited and buy stuff I don't need -- I have like 9 pairs of gloves, three medicine balls, and hand wraps all over my apartment.... Of course, the super high end stuff like Winning or Grants is on another level, but if you're not a pro boxer, you should come by and check out the good quality gear for very reasonable prices! read more

If i could give zero stars, i would. Should be an option here so i can give the rating that this place deserves. I called today asking if they have Cletos in 8 and 10oz and I was told by a female employee that they do so I came in excited to pick up a pair. I let her know what im looking for, she has 10oz for me to try but not 8oz. I told her that id like to try the 8oz and she asked me "why? Is it (10oz) too tight?" I was told she cannot open the packaging because "its expensive". So how in the hell do you expect me to buy something "expensive" if I cant try it on? Whether the 10oz is tight or loose on me, it doesnt matter because i obviously need to know which one feels more comfortable. She was telling me that when its opened people dont buy it, thats not my freaking problem because you are a business. Thats what having a business is. This is not the only time i had a terrible experience at this place, they always lie about pricing, depending on the owners mood, sometimes its expensive, sometimes its cheap. So who knows. I've been training in Muy Thai for about 5 months, so definitely a newbie. I came in with the intention of getting a pair of black 14oz. gloves to replace my Everlast gloves. Joe came to us and asked if we needed help with anything. I told him I was looking to replace my gloves and I just want plain black 14oz Muy Thai training gloves. Customer service is subpar. Not at all industry standard. Albeit, it is a "mom and pop" operation. No refunds. Store credit only. The store does have an array of supplies from boxing, Bjj, and judo. Prices are reasonable. Youre going to save a couple of "bucks." *The gi that I bought for Judo shrunk when I washed it to the point that the judge at a local competition refused to let me compete. I paid about 60-70$ for the gi, not worth it. Just pay the extra bucks online for name brand, i.e. Adidas. Also, my gf bought a mouth guard, which the person working there said it was compatible with braces. When she got home , it was extremely undersized. Go figure! read more

It has only been about a month and a half, but the gear is holding up well with daily use. I would give the merchandise itself a rating of a 5. I'm with USC Boxing and they have have always helped us with all our equipment needs and we love this Pro Boxing Supplies location in the valley. I've bought 16oz sparring gloves that I use for training as well and I had that pair for over 4 years, 3 good years of hard work put in them. Never had a problem with my hands and the padding is perfect for you to feel the punch yet keeps your hand protected. I love their gloves. Had to replace them and I got another solid pair that you don't even need hand wraps to protect your knuckles and wrists! Quality is unmatched! When it comes to quality they are top notch! This store is unbelievable... This place is a must see to anyone involved in fighting sports/arts. Customer service: My experience with the staff was excellent. I walked in and they we're very busy organizing and bringing in a ton of new equipment and supplies and the cashier was busy on the phone. Even though all of this was going on I was still being helped by like 4 people, they were all taking turns helping me, it was great. They we're all very nice. They also let you try on anything before you buy it to make sure you have a perfect fit, and they have a large mirror so you can see what you look like with the gear on. Selection: This place has EVERYTHING... every type of gear, every kind of style, every color, every size, they even have a lot of apparel, it's nuts! Even though I'm strictly a boxer it looked like they had a ton of things from other martial arts as well. Price/Quality: All the products I saw here looked like they were of solid quality so anything you're getting from here should last you a couple years easy. The prices vary but they are reasonable and compare to online prices. They have their PRO brand which is very high quality, they also have names like Reyes, Rival, Title, Hyabusa, etc...
