Hire Essential in Nov. 2024. Paru KNEW my home was on the outskirts of Madera, but agreed to…read moreservice it anyways. At first, things start were great. In February, I needed a re-spray for some spiders. The re-spray was scheduled but didn't happen due to rain. My regular spray was Mar. 2025. The home was sprayed and, as always, I logged in and paid my bill thru Essential's website. As it turns out, my payment did not go thru. SADLY, I had NO IDEA that happened, as Essential did not follow-up with me, nor does their system generate a follow-up. So, I didnt know they had not been paid. In April, I called for a re-spray for the same areas as in February. Paru started talking about how they bill every 60 days and that they won't spray for free. I was confused. He went on to say he has a small company and they travel far to service my account, and that they don't work for free. At this point, I am REALLY confused and I asked, "what do you mean work for free?" It's NOW that Paru tells me that I didn't pay for my service in March and that he doesn't think their company can service my account anymore. He hopes we can leave on good terms. Good terms? You never follow-up and let me know that my payment is missing, and then you cancel my service. TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE! If I had been informed that my payment had not been received, I would have QUICKLY fixed that issue. BUT I HAD NO IDEA and Paru really did make me feel like an a-hole for not paying. FOR THE RECORD, I HAVE NEVER NOT PAID A BILL TO ESSENTIAL NOR TO ANY OTHER CREDITOR!! Being made to feel like I did something wrong and then having my account terminated FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON, it VERY BAD BUSINESS. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else!

This will be a mini review because I just had a brief (but incredibly positive) interaction with…read morethis business. We got back from vacation and there was what appeared to be a small-but-definitely-new wasp nest in the corner of our front porch. Not wanting to mess with it, I sent a photo to JAR Pest Solutions via Yelp and asked if he could come remove it. I've had an allergic reaction to wasp stings in the past and didn't want to take a chance. Joseph replied within one or two minutes (so fast!) and explained this was something I could easily remove myself and explained how to do it (and it was safe for me because it was just a mud dauber nest). He advised me not to waste money on an exterminator. So.... I have an incredible amount of gratitude and respect for a busy professional who takes the time to tell me I don't need his services. Joseph helped me out and if I ever have a more serious pest problem, I will absolutely be calling JAR first.
