It smells so good in here!!! Prodigy is awesome! I love that they are in a kick ass location: close to home and the RTD station and in an underserved community with a goal to lift its residents. This place is amazing. Apprenticeships and training for young people in the NE Denver area to get a start in the professional workforce, wide open space with tons of natural light and lots of seating, AND a parking lot. Like others have said, it's a refurbished body shop, which means there are huge garage door entrances which circulates fresh air and you don't leave smelling like coffee shop. The employees were all friendly and helpful, and I got a chicken panini and a lemon soda water for lunch. There were outlets by the booths and I think by the bar. Outdoor seating as well. I was drawn to this place by its graffiti art exterior. The inside is just as inviting with that funky garage look and a simple menu. It doesn't necessarily stand out for the drinks- there's nothing special about their menu. But the barista, her sweet demeanor brings it all together. read more

This was a fun find!! And all for a good cause. They teach young adults who are removed from school or work life all about their business through an apprenticeship. We had to stop by to check it out. Housed in what looks like a former quick change oil change building, we wandered in to Prodigy. It had a nice open air feel and plenty of people were sitting inside and out using the space to study/work/relax. It had a very welcoming feel. We decided on the special...a couple of caramel mocha drinks and looked around for a few minutes. The prices were good. The atmosphere comfortable. The staff friendly. The coffee drinks tasted pretty yummy. They have a "bike library"! And while I didn't verify exactly what that meant, I think you can borrow a bike to ride around town here. And that my friends is quite awesome to me!! I'll be back because I noticed their tea menu toward the end of our visit and I'll have to give some of those a whirl. Keep doing great things! read more

I love the fact that you can reserve the conference room for free and I love the mission of the place. Great coffee, great food, excellent mission. This coffee shop supports the local youth, and that's something I can get behind. My baristas were super friendly, and got me my breakfast burrito and brewed coffee with speed & a smile. The coffee was well-brewed, and the burrito came with some green chile salsa, and was grilled perfectly. Love love love Prodigy! A coffee shop with parking?! Yep, it's a go to meeting spot. Their coffee ain't bad either. I've been a big fan of their seasonal/speciality lattes, which are usually pretty amazing. They also have a small meeting room around back that's available for meetings. Only downside: It does get a bit warm in the summer months, even with the garage doors open. Just know, you're working in/visiting a former auto repair shop! read more

Sought this place out on our way to the airport and oh my gosh what a gem! Coffee was delicious! They have homemade syrups. My mom and sister had the iced vanilla latte, which I tried and was delicious. I had the iced honey lavender latte which was so yummy! We had pastries but a standout food item was a ham, cheese & egg torta. WOAH! It was delicious. Had a few bites of my sisters. They gave you a choice of green or red salsa. She got the green and it was so bomb! Highly recommend. The staff were lovely and it was open nice and early. read more

Hit up Prodigy thanks to the FIKA passport program and I'm so glad I did. It's in a cute building on a big industrial corner that's painted with bright colors, has a big patio and also a very large interior that opens up to the outside with garage style doors. The person behind the counter wasn't the friendliest of people but she wasn't rude either. I think she was just indifferent and didn't want to be there. My husband got a nitro cold brew which was really strong and quite good by itself and with a splash of cream in it. I ordered the nitro iced tea which was good as well. For tea, it was smooth and wasn't bitter at all. In fact, it was somewhat sweet on its own but I added the honey water/syrup to it and guzzled it down on the patio. read more

First impressions are BIG with me.... and I was underwhelmed with the service and product here. Such a shame because it's right down the street from my house and I've been curious about the place since they opened! I stepped into the garage door which was wide open making the space larger and gave it a very breathable feel that was quite nice! The ambiance was cool and relaxing, hence the star rating! The place IS CUTE, I'll give it that... but that's it! The gentleman behind the counter took the two orders from a couple guys in front of me and then turned his back to me. Didn't say I'll be right with you, nothing... just left me standing there. I had to wait for another gentleman to acknowledge me to place my order wich he took quickly and was very polite so that was nice. But oh boy when I got my iced chai I knew it was gonna be bad. The color right off the bat was all wrong... almost white!!!! The drink was 90% ice, 9% milk and maybe 1% chai! For 5$ I was sorely disappointed in the quality of the drink and the size! I can get way better at Starbucks and get more drink for my buck! The taste of the chai itself is off. Too much cardamom and not enough ginger.... idk but it was really lack luster!!! Prodigy was recommended by our AirBnb host and it was a great recommendation. We loved their mission (it was explained to us by a barista afer she took our order), the service was excellent (super friendly staff), the coffee was great (I got a lavender one which was very tasty. I got a rose one a return trip. While good, it was not as good as the lavender one), and we LOVED that there was a very quick service drive-thru. With young kids, this was key. In early July and around 9am, this place was happening inside. Seems like a great place to do work and/or hang out. We came here twice and tried to (it was too out of the way the third time) at least one more time before we left for home. Highly recommended. read more

I absolutely love Prodigy's heart for kids in the community. So, how does a non-coffee drinker show their support for a coffee shop with a mission? Anyway I can! The atmosphere is really great - a converted garage whose doors are opened more often than not. And they have great, private areas to hold small meetings. Their WiFi is good and I've never had trouble finding a quiet spot to work. The staff is friendly and they have great treats (they're not just coffee). I really like the concept of this place and it is nice to know I am supporting a good cause and the local community. I thought the coffee shop had a nice feel to it. I like the open garage doors and the fresh air but at one point in the afternoon it was getting a bit too toasty to focus on work. I did sit on the patio in the early morning where the shade kept it cool and I had great views of the mountains. My only issue was I could just not get comfortable for too long - I'm not sure if it was the chairs or tables or what. That's a me thing I suppose. The WiFi was fast but I think I would rather come here to hang out and socialize than to work. The lavender nitro coffee was really good. My wife loves it so I had to try it. I just wish the staff would be a little more inviting and energetic. I was met with a very matter-of-fact stoic disposition. read more

Prodigy has a great mission. It's also on the way to my husband's workplace. That makes it a good spot to get caffeinated. There's plenty of parking, and getting back on the road is easy. The space is big, and they have an area you can reserve for meetings, maybe a book club. Staff are eager to please and care about giving good customer service. Since we usually get an espresso drink to stay, they follow up and ask us about the drink. They seem to really want feedback so they can learn and improve. I keep them in mind as a good place for a casual meetup. read more

One of my new favorite coffee shops in Denver!! I didn't really expect to come over here to Colorado & I-70 and find such a cool spot... but here it is. Very "open-air" feel to the space. There were plenty of garage doors and bright colors letting the sun and warmth inside - I honestly felt like we were next to the beach. My wife and I ordered Nitro Cold Brew coffees that were smooth, strong, and refreshing. Baristas were all extremely nice and came around filling up waters as we sat for over an hour and talked. When the weather is nice, this is the place to be. And when it's nasty out, the coffee and friendliness of everyone will be enough to keep you warm. I just ordered a simple cortado and it was the most over extracted espresso I've been served in years, if not ever. Their slayer LP Maxine is easily a $30k espresso machine, so it's a crime to be serving such bad espresso. To the owners, you gotta train your baristas! read more
