I can't speak for how their shop is in person. However, the online side is NOT RECOMMENDED. I purchased a preorder from them which was about $200 Overpriced from rest of market and 5x the price of MSRP. I understand that the purchase was on me so when I reached out to cancel the order since they haven't even packed it, I understood the 10% restock fee (which honestly is steep being that they haven't even started packing anything). But I accepted their fee and they ignored my follow up emails. Only contact I got was that my item was shipped and that its out for delivery today. Company has yet to get back to me and is dishonest. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone as they place customer service on the bottom of their list. read more

I ordered a few booster boxes 06/04/2023 they were delivered an hour ago 06/08/2023. It would have been 06/07/2023 but I guess the mail person was tuckered out from their day on the road. I usually buy from tcgplayer.com, Amazon or Card Kingdom. However, my brother surprised me with an ill be there in a week kinda deal and I was scrambling to get their two booster boxes to arrive before 06/10. Everyone else was 06/12+ I found Prodigy Games by mistake. I didn't have much hope, but when I saw the reviews confirming the speed of delivery I tool a chance. I ordered nearly 300 dollars of cards in two orders that were about a day apart. If you spend 100 dollars they ship for free. I figured that the non pre order items would be sent to me asap while the pre orders would be sent when they were released. Nope! When I asked why my non pre order haven't been shipped later they responded with they send it all at once when pre orders are available and that I would have to pay for shipping for a new invoice to send the others that were AVAILABLE... come on! I spent more that 2 times the amount for free shipping in two back to back orders and you're too cheap to send me my non pre orders asap???? Absolutely pitiful. Dealt with the online portion, preordered etb from them and overlooked that the product shown was for only one etb and not two, the pic made it seem like you'll get the set of evolving skies etbs. over 60$ for one etb that hasn't came out yet and you can't retract the order and according to their "policy" I can't return it once it's sent to me so either way I'm out 68$. Definitely won't order again, will stick to other tcg stores that will work with you better or atleast be more understanding and reasonable. read more

There is one review on here that states prices are too high. Obviously you are new to Pokemon if you are complaining about the prices because they are fair. If you are looking for newer sets then the prices will be cheaper but when looking for older sets that are not in production anymore they are going to be more expensive than retail due to the fact that their is a scarcity towards them. Sun and Moon booster box prices nowadays are expensive depending on the set and how good the chase cards are. Prodigy prices are fair and the shop does well with pricing. The variety of vintage and newer sets is also very good. Great store for sure! read more

Been here a few times with friends. I'm new to the whole card scene but I find the staff and patrons to be welcoming and helpful. They host different card nights (with prizes...love this!!!) and have tons of drinks and snacks on hand. It's not the easiest to get snacks in that area in night so def a big plus. I ordered two pre orders from prodigygamestcg. They conveniently sent the less expensive order and they sent that out after two times I reached out to them and almost a full month after the release of the product. The pre order launched Oct 8th and they sent it out after Oct 22th and again only partially. I understand the times and that things might be backed up but I've ordered this same product from many different stores including GameStop and they all sent out in a timely manner. They have no care for the customer or good service. They just want to take your money and profit off of you. Almost a month long wait now after the release and it is very upsetting because they seemed trustworthy. Definitely not ordering from them again. read more

I was excited to get back into a TCG since I have a stable job again and went to pre-order a box of cards. I accidentally misclicked and ordered 2 without realizing it. Seeing as it was a pre-order and the product isn't out yet, it should have been an easy fix to rectify the mistake. But they wouldn't budge on allowing me to change the order, even though I noticed the mistake well less than 24 hours after the purchase. I get there is a policy there, but they have the ability to fix an entry error should they choose to which they did not. This was going to be my go-to place to buy cards now, but because they didn't help with the mistake they went from getting a consistant customer buying $80+ boxes of cards on the regular for years to come to getting my one order and then never getting a penny from me again. They could be such a better company (and make more money) if they just helped the customer out. read more

Package was lost in mail for over 3 weeks. Eventhough item was saying delivered it never got to me. USPS told me to contact the store and Prodigy just told me tough luck since it says delivered. They than ignored me and would not answer my emails anymore. As far as they see it they got their money and do not care anymore. I ordered a Pokemon preorder from here, they sent me the wrong item, that is worth 1/3 the amount. I ended up paying 270 when at most, the items I received were worth 160. I contacted customer service and the person literally said "sorry you ordered the wrong product" obviously not having read my email discussing the issue, and told me a return is impossible. Well great place if you can't find Pokémon anywhere else, everything is crazy priced! Pokémon tin retail is 20$, prodigy buys the tin and sell the. For 50-60$ for real. It's really either be ripped off by scalpers or ripped off by prodigy. Not just the tin over priced everything is. Guy said 30 pack booster sun and moon 540$, no I'm good........... best advice for anyone your better off buy from stock x it's literally cheaper then prodigy. I've been coming to this place for awhile now to meet up and play Boardgames. They are very nice about letting you use their store space without pressuring you to buy something. What drove me to finally write a review and rate them so high was the exceptional service from Ryan, one of the store managers. He went above and beyond with an order that mistakenly placed on my behalf. Instead of forcing me to pay for the mistake and making feel unwelcome in his store he offered to give me the product at a 50% off the price! At the cost to his store for the mistake. In addition if I didn't want the product anymore he was perfectly happy if I didn't purchase it as long as I kept coming to the store and kept having fun. What a class act. Needless to say they have a customer for life and my appreciation!! read more
