Instead, this was like one of those intriguing and quaint museum shops with an eclectic mix of fascinating items. The store itself is off the beaten track -- literally -- as it is in a warehouse building across from the actual railroad tracks and north of 10th Avenue North. The location alone had us question if we were in the right place. They are only open on Saturdays plus during a few special events. And on Saturdays, it's only open from 11 am to 4 pm. You'll see a black and white sign out front (it says, "open today") indicating if they're open or not. If you like different things, specialty foods, and artisan goods, then this place is for you. As it was the beginning of January when we stopped by, they still had a bunch of their Christmas items --ornaments and gifts, nutcrackers, creches, etc. on display. We loved browsing through everything. And John and Seth, the owners, were more than happy to answer any questions. We were told that each item has its own story, if we were interested. There was a lot to look at and admire. Here are some of the things we saw -- and please note that the "stock" changes -- vintage cards, European foods and candies, jewelry, spices, ornaments, gifts, hand embroidered linens, chocolates, figurines, scented soaps, candles, toys, herbs, teas, potpourri, and even a few books. I'm sure I've missed some of the items. You could spend a lot of time just looking at everything. And it's all in two rooms. I'm so glad we stopped by. We got to taste some chocolate. We bought some lavender candies, and I got a lovely moon broach pin that I just adore. If you have time some Saturday, do stop by. They have some great gift items for that special someone or just to treat yourself, as I did.

Harriet eventually accepted a part time job in the store and when the owner retired Rachel purchased it Lifestyles Giftware carries items for men, women, children, and pets. You can pick up that perfect birthday, anniversary, or wedding gift. Don't show up empty handed for the hostess or just treat yourself. Shop clothing, accessories, bed, bath and body, candles, home goods, kitchen items, and stationary. They carry brands Pampa Bay, Golden Rabbit, Mud Pie, Britto, and Mariposa to name just a few. My favorite items included a dog print makeup bag, the elegant serving dishes, adorable salt and pepper shakers, and lovely glass perfume bottles. Next time I need a one of a gift, I will be stopping here. The also offer gift wrapping. One thing to note is that the plaza is cracking down on parking. Well not here where you can shop an array of gifts and candy. Gifts include wall to wall and wall to ceiling of stuffed animals plus toys, puzzles, candles, bath products, Florida souvenirs, gag gifts, and stationary, The birthday cards were some of the nicest and most unique I have ever seen and some were personalized with ages and the year people were born. Candy is sold packaged and in bulk. This is the first store I have been in where you can shop for a gift and mail it there too. Prices weren't bad either. In addition to all of the gift items they also have all the mailing supplies you would need. Once you package it up, just take it to the back of the store and mail it off. It is really one stop shopping. Once you try this post office you won't want to ship from anywhere else.
