They aren't all that professional. First of all, I drove all around the streets trying to figure out where to park and which building I'm supposed to go in to. They have a bunch of buildings around that aren't connected or even adjacent. I finally just parked where it says additional parking and walked across the street. No one was there. I rang the bell, and a guy comes in and just stares at me like I'm out of place. I asked him how much it would cost to replace my brakes. He said he'll go get someone to help me.. Why did you even come to the desk if you knew you couldn't help me? Girl comes in. Her attitude wasn't the nicest. I ask her about my brakes. I had just bought parts at the dealership nearby. She says they can't install outside parts. Then she says she's all booked up anyway. That's it. No one offered any advice or real help. I'm not sure if this place can actually own up to its 5 star ratings on Google and Yelp. If I come back and actually get something done, I will update my review, but as of now, I did not have a good experience. read more

As I move away from Houston I felt like I *had* to write these guys a review for the amazing customer service they showed me over the course of 3 years. Professional Auto Care is a family-owned small business around 59/Bissonnet and I originally went there on a recommendation from a family friend. They took care of my ancient car (a 1997 Toyota Camry) and are really big about scheduling preventative maintenance. (That didn't really matter as my car was falling apart at the seams, but it did help!) They are quick, helpful and I get that they really care about their customers and their cars. Everardo would take me into the service bay whenever something happened to my car to explain what was going on, what part malfunctioned and what it does, and what that means for the bill. And then they take pictures during the repair process and keep it in your file. Total transparency. They've definitely prioritized to-do items on my car and only strongly recommend necessary repairs. Also, they're a little pricier than that guy down the street but well worth it. P.S. Kent and Shon are also awesome. One and a half weeks before I'm about to drive cross-country to California, the low oil pressure light comes on and my car's engine starts to make really disturbing noises. My car needed to be towed about 30 minutes after they closed, of course. They 1) stayed open slightly later to give me a rental to drive home. 2) Karolena was very communicative about the state of my repairs 3) After I decided I would rather put the cost of the repairs towards a new down payment, they took some time to consider and offered me a price to purchase my car 4) Let me continue to rent their rental while I looked for a new car. The 'Professional' in their name isn't just for show. I definitely felt like a valued customer and was taken care of like I was another member of their family. I was there last Friday getting my regular oil change. It is really cool that Professional Auto Care (PAC) always shows you pictures of the current oil condition of your car vs a standard. That way, I can visually see the condition of the fluids in my vehicle. Even though its the Friday before Easter, they managed to squeeze in the additional maintenance that my car needed (power steering fluid change, etc) which I did not notice until they did a thorough check. After the service, PAC mentioned that I will be getting more power out of my car and the fuel efficiency will be better as well - which is immediately felt (car performance) and as I drove a lot over the weekend, I found out that my car mileage improved from my average of 24 miles per gallon to about ~28 miles per gallon (found out when I got gas this morning). PAC is a place where I trust and will always recommend my friends go take their cars over if they need any service/maintenance. They are very friendly, nice and honest - it always feels homey being there. Before I forget, you get a discount as well if you are a AAA member. If you don't have one, PAC will tell you how to get one and they will recommend you to get one as well if the cost of AAA is less than the savings that you will get. read more

Best garage around!!!! I've been taking my vehicle to this team for two years now and they have taken care of my vehicle needs and are respectful of you as a person as well. This past visit was due to hurricane flooding while on the road, which didn't end well. The process of corresponding with the insurance company was taxing and virtually non existent. This team kept me in the loop through the entire process. They made sure I knew what was being done, costs, videos, pictures and email correspondences with the insurance company. Couldn't be happier! Take your car here! Every service/repair I've had has been extremely good. My wife has been taking her cars to Professional Auto Care since 2010. Her mini was getting old and they did a brake overhaul at a much lower cost than other quotes. (Probably would still have paid higher because we trust them to do a great job.) Recently we had the transmission fluid replaced in her Jeep. I read online that it was common for repair shops to use the wrong fluid in my model of Jeep. When I spoke to Kent he was already aware of this issue and ordered the specialty fluid the same day. Over the years Herardo, Kent and Karolena have always been happy to answer any and all questions. If you're looking for a great mechanic that does great work and is transparent with you through the entire process, this is the place for you. As soon as I walked in the door, I was warmly greeted by the receptionist and was assisted right away. I noticed the collection of Star Wars memorabilia and knew I was in the right place. The force is definitely strong here. Lol. Seriously, I had an alignment on my Nissan, which was a lot cheaper than I expected and a complementary inspection. I was in and out in about an hour. The best part is when I referred my girlfriend. She owns a Mini Cooper and has had many issues with it. They gave her an estimate on some work and also informed her that the dealer had been withholding key info about repairs that they should have been honoring which they weren't. They could have easily done the same and made some easy money off her, but the fact that they would share this information says a lot about what they value; excellent customer service. The place is what I'd like my garage to look like - super clean. Not a drop of oil or spec of dust on the floor. These people take pride in their business and it shows in the work. I was told that the diagnostic would, at most, cost $95. They failed to mention that what that meant was $95 for labor plus any supplies they decided to use without consulting me first. Even worse, their quoted price was slightly over double the cost quoted by the Mazda dealer. Why? Because they included parts in the quote that "might fail someday" so best to replace them "while we're in there - it saves you in the long run!" On the plus side, their diagnostic documentation (with photos, no less) is terrific. Very clear and fancy for such a small shop. I write a Yelp review perhaps once every six months, so I have to be either pretty impressed or really steamed to write one. I'll leave it to the reader to decide which I am in this case. read more

This is the best auto shop I have ever been to! I have been a customer since 2012, and just feel the deepest of gratitude toward the Serratos family. Honestly, I will be sad to move away from Houston and the Auto Care Family because I have never received such good quality care before. All the staff is very knowledgeable and willing to educate the customer. They often show pictures of parts or samples of fluids that need to be replaced. They have a program called Service Smart which focuses on proactively dealing with problems before they become a full blown issue. They keep an excel file on your car and send reminders in the mail when certain services should be done or parts replaced. It helps to spread out the cost of car maintenance rather than paying for things in large chunks of cash. I inherited my grandmother's car and Professional Auto Care is absolutely the only reason that the car is still running. It has had a variety of problems that they have diligently fixed for a reasonable cost. Most recently, Karolena warned me in May that my ball joint had a 60% chance of going out by the end of the summer. Rather than replacing it, I decided to risk it and continue driving. My uncle took it on a test drive and decided that they were try to rip me off by getting services that I didn't need. Well, fast forward to the end of the summer, and sure enough - the ball joint just went out. These mechanics really have what's best for the customer in mind. My car was flooded due to Hurricane Harvey. I didn't know of any decent auto repair shops in my area that were open. I chose this establishment because I had service done by them before and was please with previous work that was don't to my car. I wrnt through alot of trouble with triple A because thry were overwhelmed servicing other cars. However this last visit was the exact opposite of all my previous visits. The estimate they gave me was alot higher than what I expected and u showed it to other mechanics and they said thus place charges high prices for certain procedures. I told Karolena I could not afford the full estimate and asked what could I get by with. They wanted to do unnecessary things like clean the carpet in my trunk and the water didn't even get that high that service would have been over $100. When I wanted to speak to Karolena about the logistics of what I wanted and did not want done she was conveniently unavailable so I had to speak to a receptionist. Which is someone who is not trained to know about cars. Alot of miscommunication took place and as a result they left wet floor mats in my trunk that u told the receptionist I wanted to be thrown away. Which as a result caused my trunk to smell really bad. I was not the one to pick up my car because I live 90 minutes away so I had a relative pick it up for me. I was not at all pleased with the results. The main issue I had was that I had my carpet reinstalled. The seats were not installed properly and the carpet was not molded to the car like it was before. They charged me over $800 for that job that's unacceptable. To make matters worse the carpet was coming unattached to the drivers idea door frame. It was a total inconvenience to drive another 90 minutes for them to repair it. I was told it was because a clip that holds the carpet down was broken. That's b.s. I've had my car for over 7 years and it's never ever done that. I was told no type of glue or adhesive is used to hold carpet down on the floor boards but yet they said they used glue to keep the carpet in place. That's b.s. I think they took advantage of me and tried to get as much money out of me as they could which is really unfortunate because I lost most of my possessions in my house because of the storm and I didn't want to loose my car either. They charged me way too much money for a half assed job won't ever return again and I will advise others not to as well. read more

This automotive mechanic shop provided the best services I could have asked for. I was in the process of purchasing a 2009 Honda Civic and wanted to get it inspected before pulling the trigger. I went to Professional Auto Care for a maintenance preliminary check up. The cost of the services were minimal compared to the quality of service provided. The ASE certified service consultant was very professional and friendly. She took initiative and began servicing the vehicle immediately, the overall inspection was very through and WELL worth the cost. After it was complete, she explained the full inspection process and presented the findings on Powerpoint with PICTURES of every issue such as the fluid analysis, air filter, fluid leaks, and charging + starting system and their pass/fail status. read more

Let me start by saying that I travel all over the country for business and the majority of it is driving. I have had some bad experiences while having my car serviced while out of town. I found PAC after searching on the Internet and reading the reviews. most all of the reviews were very high so I decided that I would give them a shot since I needed my brakes changed and I am glad that I did. From the very first contact on the phone they were very nice and professional. Upon arrival I was quickly checked in and my car was inspected to see what was needed. Once the inspection was complete the technician brought me out to my car a went through everything with me as we'll as showing me pictures and fluid samples. Once I decided on the repairs I was escorted across the street to their other building that has a waiting area with a sofa, a couple of desks to work at, free drinks and a tv. This worked out great for me due to the fact that I was in town on business could just work right there and not worry about traveling back to the hotel and then back to the shop to get my car. I was there for about 6 hours and during that time they probably asked me 5-6 times if I was ok and if I needed anything. They even asked me if I had lunch because they would take me somewhere or pick something up for me to eat if I wanted but I just got back from walking down to get a burger. Overall I had a great experience there and felt that the pricing was fair and the customer service was great. If I ever find myself in Houston again and in need of auto repair I will go back to PAC. read more

I signed up for the Service Smart program and took in my car to get it checked out. Karolena did an amazing job at showing me in great detail exactly what was wrong with my car, what needed to be addressed as soon as possible, what could wait but should keep an eye on and many other things. She also quoted me a good price on all the services, and put no pressure on me to do them, just advised I should in order to keep the car running smooth. We even tried to change out my suspension, but due to some part ordering problems, we were not able to put the ideal struts in the vehicle. Instead of going to a cheaper set of struts, Karolena recommended that I do some searching into the struts that fit my car properly and until then we should hold off so I can be truly happy with the ride quality. No charge or anything after all the labor, so they really do want what is best for the client. read more

Professional Auto Care Scams. This people are not reliable at all, the job they do is completely a fake and they will ruin your car. They should be called UN-Professional Auto Care because they do not get to the problem in your car, because they don t know how to, OR THEY JUST GO CHEATING TO STEAL YOUR MONEY. They use to go to check your car to find out all kind of fake issues to catch you. Last time I was in their shop I asked for several repairs or jobs that I found were useless and I didn t get any trusted answer. It was worthless to discuss but I realized they didn t like so many questions, they couldn t give a good answer. I state they didn t repair anything, because my car followed to fail again every time not too long after "their Professional repairs". I went to another shop and the repair was done, the right job from the first time. The car is running like new, very impressive and I opened my eyes to see the scam from PAC. It's very disappointing that these guys treat so far customer as ignorant, cheating more on old cars. No driver with some knowledge on mechanics can trust this shop. They ve exposed themselves.
