Ended up having a reaction to the jewelry and went to an APP certified piercer in Charlotte and found out my jewelry that I spent an extra $200 was in fact not titanium or internally threaded. I cannot recommend this business enough! I had had nothing but trouble with piercings my whole life until I've visited Jackie A few years ago on vacation. I don't even know where to start... this place and Jackie especially is amazing!! I was visiting Myrtle beach and had the spontaneous idea to go get a nose piercing. I wanted a hoop and I wanted to switch my current stud. I've never been able to switch my current stud although I've had it for 3+ years... it hurt too much. I never took it out because it only hurt when moving it. Jackie was so professional, a nose doctor if you will. Turns out I was actually allergic to the metal stud in my nose. She was able to switch my stud to a rose gold hoop and it is beautiful!!! I'd take a picture... but I look like Rudolph right now. Maybe I'll come back and edit later. She also was able to pierce an additional stud into my nose. She was so sweet and caring. I'm so happy she was able to assist. I'd recommend her and this place 100x over if I could. She was sweet and so very helpful in explaining the difference in grades of piercing jewelry, what would work best for the area I wanted pierced and then deciding on what to go with. I got my nose pierced exactly 2 weeks ago and the piercing and it went great had no problems, the place was clean, everyone was extremely friendly. The only 2 problems I have are the diamond on the nose stud has already fallen out, and I'm not a big fan of how the nose stud is an L shape because it constantly is facing downward so I have to readjust it and it fell out one morning and I luckily got it back in. read more

First off Jackie was pleasant but out front and other than being friendly as we went in, had nothing else to do with our visit. Her front desk woman is the worst. She was rude from the moment we came in and very condesending with all of us. I stayed pleasant and tried to chit chat which seemed ok. However, she still treated us like we were idiots and the biggest issue I have is their pricing. 300$ for simple ear piercings. I left a tip but a small one yet they took out more than I authorized. They are just like all businesses. Only seem to care about $$$. I will never go again nor would I recommend this place to anyone. Very disappointed in the service and pricing. read more

My sister and I decided to get some piercings. I got my nose and she got her belly button. Super clean and neat. They walked us through everything and made sure we were comfortable. They made the process super easy. My sister was pierced by Jackie. She said she was amazing and calmed her down. They used clean products and showed us everything. I was on vacation and wanted to get my septum done the last day before we left, the original place I planned on going to was closed so I resorted to going here and I am so glad I did! I read on this yelp page Jackie was/or still is a nurse so that made me feel a lot safer with the sterilization and what not. She offers a big selection of jewelry, and even overs numbing (cream/gel) I can't remember but it definitely is worth paying for it. I had gotten my Naval done and let me just say i made the best choice of going to Professional Body Piercing by Jackie. they were very clean and i was in a room and my mom was watching from the other side of the glass. They showed the unopened packaging through the glass front to back. Very sanitary!! My guy gotten a call just before we started the cleaning process of the area and when he put down the phone he changed his gloves so there was little to no risk of cross contamination. During the whole process i was shaking in my boots and he was talking to me the whole time which made me more comfortable and got my mind off of the whole thing. Initially got my nose pierced, good experience, but this is the 4th stud I have purchased from there that has had the stone fall out. My mom has had the same problem with hers as well. Went this past Saturday had my daith pierced. This was my first piercing since my ears when I was little. I was a little nervous but they put me completely at ease. They offer numbing which I did. Jackie was friendly and nice and the shop was clean however, when I returned home from vacation many months later I went to my local piercing shop. They took my nose stud out from this place and they politely urged me to never return. The piercing itself was done well but the jewelry was poor design, not surgical steel (as I was told) and the gage was too small for piercing jewelry so I had to have the piercing hole stretched slightly to get the new earring to fit in. What a painful experience that could have been avoided by just doing it with the right jewelry to begin with. read more

This morning I was playing with my dog when he ripped my nose hoop and it ripped a bit of the inside of my nose too. Immediately, I looked up a piercing place to go, that's how I came across Professional Body Piercing By Jackie. She was so professional, so helpful, and so gentle. Of course, my nose just got ripped a bit, so I was fully expecting it to hurt when she was trying to take out the hoop. It didn't hurt AT ALL. Not only that, she explained everything she was doing, and she replaced it with a really cute stud so it wouldn't close up. After I handled that, I decided to look around the shop at the jewelry on display, hoping to find a cute belly button ring. There were so many options to choose from, so many different designs and price ranges. This was the first time I've been here, but it will definitely not be the last. It's run by genuinely nice people who have perfected their craft. The shop is spotless, there's so many options of jewelry to choose from, and it's affordable.
