Biggest complaint with Paylocity is their refusal to have our designated account representative…read moreprovide us with implementation assistance when we want to utilize a module of Paylocity that we already have available to us. For instance, we have "Action Forms" already available to us. However, we requested assistance in putting this feature into action. We specifically asked if our account manager could offer us implementation assistance and we were told no. This has been the case with every module that we've tried to implement. We are left to figure it out ourselves, and always directed to their library of resources instead of the personalized assistance that would make the process much more efficient and helpful. What good is having an assigned account rep? When we call for support, we get a random person that helps us. I am not sure we've ever gotten through to our account rep for direct assistance. Their overall service to their clients is disappointing.

I've been working for 25 years and the HSA/FSA contracts other employers used NEVER asked for a receipt to pay claims. I don't mind uploading them but when FSA needs one it's different requirements every time. I am worn out dealing with these folks. Claims has no clue what is going on. Every person I speak with, after 30-40 minute holds, gives me a different shpill. I can't keep up. Why can't the claims dept do their job and get the claim information themselves? What are they doing otherwise? Negative stars.

If you are a small business stay away. They don't want you there. I agree with the above review…read more Every year I have been moved from tax professional to tax professional with them. Last year I got hit with a $2,000 bill for very little work. I protested they agreed that it was excessive and they would take care of all the issues next year. Fast forward to this year, both tax professionals I work with from the year before have left the firm and I got hit with a $2,100 bill for something I could now handle on my own with HR Block for under $200. When confronting them with the bill their response was basically that they don't care. When I said that I wished to terminate my relationship with them the response was simply "ok, call us if you need anything."

The firm prepared my tax return for business and personal both state and federal. I would not…read morerecommend or use them again - for several reasons... (1) The firms customer communication was poor throughout the return review and preparation process. My return is straight foward I do not have complex assets or other factors to figure out (could almost use a free software) plus I organize my own receipts, catalog all expenses and uploaded them digitally to their portal. While this should make it easy for them they still managed to justify a multi $k bill to process my return. (2) During the preparation process there was little consultation on key recommendations , such as simple vs complex deductions, paying fees without owing taxes, and was given little time to review final returns as they were prepared only days before filing was due with government then told they were closing office early when I had a question. (3) When I called to provide my feedback to the owner on my new customer experience I was told I was costing them money and that they would hold my filing to ransom for their service payment. Not the typical 15 or 30 day invoice that almost all other professional service firms follow. (4) Beyond an initial free consultation which was generally high level - they had no real recommendations to lower my taxes and with recent tax law changes seemed to be in the dark as to their impact in future years. I would expect a professional tax firm to be more up to speed.

We just moved to the area from Louisville Metro, and we called around to five or six different tax firms. We were lucky if they told us up front that they had no training to handle our situation, and that happened a lot. On one unfortunate incident, we had an appointment and after an hour and a half the young woman sitting on the other end of the desk claimed that we owed the federal government $11,000.00. We knew it was impossible and insisted that she correct it. We were given a response of "I'll have my manager call you back." Three weeks later and we've yet to receive an answer from them. Thank heavens my husband called VT! During the initial phone conversation, the accountant quoted verbatim the law regarding our special circumstances. They are booked far in advance (I can see why), but the wait is worth it. After a bit of conversation, it did not take long to realize that there was a wealth of talent in that office. They also provide financial planning, deal with Roths, and business plans.
