Connie has been my masseuse for about a year now and I honestly cannot go anywhere else. Connie is amazing at her job. Every time I go she provides an inviting presence and ensures that I feel comfortable. Connie is very knowledgeable. I love that every time when she is massaging me and finds a tight spot she makes sure that 1.) the spot that she is touching doesn't hurt me and 2.) if it doesn't hurt she goes over the tense spot with gentle pressure to help me losen up. Connie helps be let go and release all that built up tension and she puts me in deep relaxation mode. I have gone to other places for a massage but I feel like the other places I have been were very transactional which I personally don't like. I originally found Professional Massage Therapy through a Groupon and had my first visit back in April. it is September, and I'm only now getting around to check Yelp and saw that there is no review, oops! While you may feel that massage is massage, Connie has been great. She can do a variety of massage styles and will take feedback about what you want. She always starts off with asking if I'm comfortable too and will adjust the table or get a lighter blanket if desired. In addition, Connie is very flexible about what time you can book an appointment. As you may guess from the review I think Connie is great! She is very good professionally, but is also a hoot! You can chat with her or not as desired. I've had some great conversations and also fallen asleep on the table. For now I'm using the massage as a way to and loosen up my muscles and deal with pain, but a massage or three always works as a "feel good" treat too. Would I recommend Connie to others? Yes I would. This review is pending a massage (or a try out) with Tosca who I hope and think can do the job. Connie failed completely in a 90 minute "deep tissue" massage- which was not deep at all. She promised me beforehand and all during the massage she would "seek and destroy" my knots. She talks a lot, but can barely get into tight spots with 2 hands in the same spot ! At one point I thought she was using her fingers and it was her elbow and barely felt it ! It took her 90 minutes to do what a good DEEP tissue worker can do in about 15 minutes. I should have paid half her fee at most, because she did not deliver on her promise but I paid her anyway and even left a tip because she tried and was nice though I didn't need this: "you poor guy". She simply talks too much instead of focusing and listening to me- and she goes very very slow - way too slow- did not trust me telling her what my body needs. I have 25 years of exp with massage and I know exactly what works for me. She said she was "reading my body"- instead of listening to me. DO NOT let her sell you ! I am slight of build- only 135 pounds, 5 feet 7, for a man that is thin, and she just barely got into 3 of my problem areas in all of 90 minutes ! I hope to report back here after trying out Tosca who actually was recommended by a local chiropractor, and if she can get into and work out my knots, and be willing to trust me and work with me, I will upgrade my review based on Tosca. read more

Let me start by saying, I have been super busy at work recently and often carry a lot of heavy gear around. As a result, I started having some aches and pains in my shoulders and wanted to try out a professional massage therapist for some relief. Let me just say Connie was awesome and after my massage, I felt better than I have in a long time. First her office is convenient to my house and spotlessly clean. Second, Connie was very professional and took the time to learn about my health, what problems I was having, and customize my session to those problem areas. She even found an area in my elbow where my daily abuse may give me some future problems and cause some degeneration. I was impressed with her professional knowledge and she was even telling me about a new technique for recovery involving taping joints, similar to what an athlete might have done. With what I know now, I can do a better job of watching how I carry things to give that elbow some time to recover.
