I have a couple of go tos in the East Bay, but I had heard about this business and decided to give it a try due to the good reviews. The massage was fantastic. Victoria did a consultation at the beginning to help curate the massage around any prior injuries or problem areas I had. Once that was over I got onto the table and immediately noticed the heated blanket beneath and the soft and cool sheet above. It was very comfortable. Victoria started off gentle and methodical before moving into a deeper and heavier massage after I mentioned I usually prefer a harder massage. She did some slight stretching and mobility at the end and really focused on a knee I had been having some issues with. Victoria was extremely thorough and was professional and kind during the whole experience. I recently visited The Queen Relaxation & Body Work for the first time, hoping to find a new go-to spot. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The positive part of the visit was that the room was clean and the environment was relatively quiet and calm. However, the massage itself was far from what I was expecting. I specifically requested a deep tissue massage, but the pressure was very light and inconsistent, and I didn't feel any of the relief or muscle work that I typically get from a proper deep tissue session. It almost felt like the therapist wasn't confident or familiar with the technique. I tried to communicate during the session, but nothing really changed. By the end of the massage, I felt like I had wasted both my time and money. Victoria is a really skilled therapist who clearly loves what she does and is super knowledgeable on how to help with any aches or pains you have. She starts out with a short consult to understand your concerns and then uses a few different techniques including some stretching to fix you! I came in with neck muscle spasms and shoulder issues, and Victoria's technique and deep tissue massage skills made all the difference. I did not realize my muscles' tightness until the session ended--excellent pressure and technique on top of the heated massage table.
