At the end of my second massage with Lulu, I felt like my muscles had all melted into the table I was so completely relaxed. I didn't want to move and disturb all of my soothed muscles. Removed clothing other than underwear and put on their traditional top and shorts and lie face down on the table. Print was my masseuse and she was amazing. Great pressure, and she explained some stuff to me which I appreciated. There were spots that were really tight that I had no idea, She worked my right shoulder/neck so hard as well as my glutes as those were some of my tightest spots. I sweat so much during this massage - perhaps more than an hour long workout! Parts of the massage was super painful, but that was a good thing. Release of muscle tension, loosened up some knots, and more. A mix of dry, oil/lotion, hot towels, etc. Love the stepping part as well. Def not a massage for everyone, but it was great to me. There is also a water dispenser for hot and cold water, and there were disposable cups and some tea bags. The massage rooms were connected by doors and such, so it doesn't feel as private, but I had no issues with that. If I can justify spending so much on a massage, I'd be going at least every week. Pressure is inconsistent, the massage doesn't feel symmetrical or balanced (techniques done on one side aren't done on the other, or are incompletely done, for example). The attention and care just don't seem to be there. Plus, the massage therapists at the Berkeley location were always very welcoming, and I can't say the same for the WC location. I'll be checking out some other options in the area.
