I had a braking problem on my car and needed service on a Saturday. I called and they were totally packed with customers, but they would try and fit me in. Not only did they fix my brakes, but they stayed after closing to finish, and brought my keys next door where I was having lunch. the girl at the service counter uses the F word a lot. They promise to get your car in but you drop it off and they don't get to it. And on top of everything else the manager/owner got physical with a customer. Never taking my car there again. read more

Car was overheating traveling from Chicago to the metro Detroit area. Got off the highway and parked off at the Citgo gas station trying to find an auto shop to look at my car. I knew it was a stretch since it was last minute and it being nearly 4pm. Called 6 local shops and they were either backed up with work or closing soon. Called Professional Muffler and spoke with Mike and explained my desperate situation and he told me that they could look at my car. When I got there they seemed busy with other cars in the garage but they pulled my car right in to take a look. While waiting for the update I was encouraged by some frequent customers who lived in the area that they did great work here, that was very encouraging. I was hoping it was something simple but that wasn't the case. Came back and told me that I had a blown head gasket. Told me I wouldn't get much for it as a scrap but was encouraged to get it fixed, though potentially pricey, due to the mileage on the car. Getting it towed back to Chicago would have added more fuel to the fire that's already on my wallet so I decided to leave it here for them to fix. They won't be able to begin repairing until Monday due to them being closed for the holiday. Extremely grateful for them being able to look at my car last minute. All of the staff were very friendly and personable. Looking forward to getting my vehicle back. read more

We were driving through Battle Creek on a huge road trip and our truck started making the scariest noise! We honestly thought we were going to be stranded, especially after noticing most car repair places were closed on saturdays! Professional Muffler and Brake were open and would be for three more hours. I explained our situation and they told us that even though they had 30 cars ahead of us, they would make sure to get us back on the road. We limped over and they even found a place to put our rv while they fixed our truck! These people are not only so nice but also totally competent! If I lived there I would never go anywhere else. Took vehicle to PM after having it worked on at a ripoff repair shop the vehicle would not accelerate after spending $700.00 on the motor at Lentz... PM found problem right away and repaired problem...... Problem was new sparkplug wire was pulled from the boot that connects to plug, replaced new plug wire. Straighten out prong on connection for the injector so electrical contact could be made. Lents wanted $350.00 to replace injector (Hmmmm)..........Are you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'? And the best part is Professional Muffler & Brake are very friendly, honest and efficient........ They now have a dedicated customer.....Hurry up with the new location I have more repairs that need performed read more

They said RF wheel bearing if you drop it off we'll have it done by tomorrow, called me later in the day and said it's done and we'll wait if you want to come pick it up and it was $50.00 less than the estimate. I will start by saying that I have been taking our cars to Professional Muffler for at least five years and was so happy that I had a place I could trust. That all changed about a year ago when I had my sons car in and spent about $1,000.00. I was told that they would throw in an oil change and new wiper blades (which he desperately needed). They did neither and when I called and asked the lady that answered the phones she said nope they did not and that they were just too busy and forgot. I kind of expected to at least get an apology and have them offer to bring it back in to have it done - nope. I then decided to give their new shop down the road on 20th a chance and was having some pretty good luck with them with just routine servicing done on our cars. I then took it in and asked them to fix the odometer on my sons car and was told to just have him download an odometer app on his phone and they wouldn't even look at it. I was willing to pay whatever it cost to have this fixed for his safety and as of today it still does not work. And today was the last straw. We need a new battery for one of our cars. I called the shop on Columbia and was told it would be $135.00 without even being asked what year and model the car was. He then told me "I can't have it done until Tuesday Hon"....Hon, really? That was the last straw, I am having the battery put in this afternoon for $98.00 at Belle Tire. Later Professional! read more

Been here a couple times most the people working there are great. The work they did on my vehicle was great got a new muffler and some other repairs. Only reason i gave 4 stars prices were a little on the high side. But if you want honest work and no bull go here they will take care of you. read more
