I wasn't quite sure where to take my smart car for service since most shops aren't willing to work on them because they are not familiar with them. I then found master mechanic on the Internet I made an appointment for them to diagnose a check engine light that had illuminated on my car. When I arrived to drop my car off at the shop I was greeted by a place that looks like a proper business, nice landscaping clean parking lot and a place that I felt comfortable leaving my car parked for the night. The next day I got a call from the guys at the desk with the diagnosis and the repair and the exact estimate for getting the repair done. They were honest with me about the time for ordering parts and when I could get the car in for service. Since the repair was more than I was expecting, they worked with me on timing in ordering parts and scheduling a return date for repair. I am impressed with the way they handle both their customers and the customers vehicles and I look forward to bringing my car there any time it needs something done to it, feeling confident that it's done with integrity and respect, something that's extremely rare in the world today. Master Mechanics (previously European Auto Imports) is owned and operated by Mr. Jammin Rewa, a west Michigan native who worked at EAI while attending Western Michigan University. He purchased EAI from its founder and renamed the business. We took our 1998 Volvo V70 wagon (225K+ miles) in for service this week as we have had no luck at the Volvo dealership resolving a recurring oil leak (the dealership said we needed a new turbocharger and oil pan gasket, neither being the correct solution ). Jammin diagnosed the problem correctly the same day we dropped off the car and had it repaired the following day. Culprits ended up being a bad oil separator, distributor, and several associated hoses & gaskets. He and his team are polite, honest, experienced, professional, and offer very fair value. His shop is extremely organized and clean, his communication skills are excellent, and he truly cares about doing a good job. My back hatch of my suv would not lock and the handle was broken. This is a foreign car and my regular mechanic did not work on this model. I called 2 dealerships, this was the first of November. They told me they could get me in Jan or Feb 2025. I was flabbergasted. I had no way to lock my vehicle. I was told by a person at the dealership about Master Mechanics. I have a BMW 535xi and have to say I am very glad I decided to take my car to Master Mechanics. He has worked with me continuously over the past several months. Great customer service, trustworthy, and I feel very comfortable taking the car there for service and repairs. I am extremely happy I found this place. It is not only at great location but the premises are very clean and the service is fantastic. It is good to walk into a place and be greeted cordially. It is even better knowing that your vehicle is in good hands. Being a woman, it is hard going to places like this. I have had quite a bit of work done to my BMW. They always have fair prices and do excellent work. I'm very pleased with everything that they've done. I recommend them over any foreign repair shop in the area. I found another foreign Repair Garage in Kalamazoo. I spent over. 1800 Bucks new battery, new this, new that it wasn't holding a charge They kept telling me. Eventually they figured out it was a alternator. Exactly what I told them in the beginning. I have had work done here multiple times and they do a great job. First time had some fouled spark plugs and this time some exhaust corrosion. Staff is quite friendly and level headed. Master Mechanics was great. I came in for a new AC Compressor, as mine had been completely wore down. They quoted me, ordered the part that day, and fixed my car back up, all in the same day. They took a complete look at my car while fixing the AC Compressor and noticed a belt was going bad as well. They went ahead and fixed that for a low charge too. Jamin and his team were fantastic, personable, and trustworthy. It also helped that Jamin had his sweet 2 year old Husky in the lobby too, which topped off the entire experience. I was considering buying a used car and wanted to get it checked out by a mechanic so I brought it to Master Mechanics (I found them on the internet). I got prompt, polite service for a good price and the owner even gave me a slice of pizza when I asked him where I could get some food while I waited. My daughter goes to WMU and her starter went out her Hyundai. Based on reviews I had her car towed here after getting a reasonable estimate. I'm in the Detroit area. They called me back and told me they found a number of other things wrong and the new estimate was $1600. Being a little skeptical I asked that they sent me photos. They glady did so and in fact everything they said was bad was actually really bad. I had them go ahead. The car runs great now and I recommend these guys without hesitation. read more

I was looking for a place to have some general maintenance done to my Volvo, and after several phone calls I felt the most confident in Jammin.
