You take a train to the top of the mini golf and then play 18 holes on the way down. Pretty fun. They have a lot of good sites, waterfalls and pirate ships.

Very fun course.they have two seperate course of 18 holes you can play. The gold is the pirate ship course which is pretty and fun. You get to ride the train to the top! We had so much fun we did both 18 holes!

We had a great time at this mini golf course! The atmosphere, design, and layout were superb! Also, with such a big course, it was kept up very impressively! Will be back soon!

Went back this year and we waited in line to get in and start playing for over 30 minutes. Mini golf is $15 per person. Finally got to ride the train and go on the gold course. Sadly, the fun stopped when the train ride ended. The holes were just as boring on the gold course. Whoever owns this place spent ALL their money on decorations, water displays, and the train and none of it on actually making the holes challenging and fun. There was such a back up it took us well over 2 hours to get through 18 holes. We play mini golf every single year we go to the beach and this place is just bottom tier. This is a reminder to myself to try any other golf course next year.

Love this place!!! We came with our friends and our two kids (one in a stroller and other is a toddler) along with our friends. The train ride was cheesy but cool since we could fit our stroller. First of all it is hard to find any place that we can really use our stroller the whole time but this place we could! We have a baby jogger city deluxe and it fit in the train and we were able to push it along the entire diamond side of the course. The holes are fun and different. They are not just your typical, flat, boring par 3 courses. This place was beautiful with a variety of different challenges. My husband and I always try to play mini golf any time we're on vacation and this one was great. The weather was also gorgeous. We went today on a Wednesday afternoon so it was not crowded at all. The water areas do smell a little but it's not like you're there that long. The prices were a little high but it's a slightly more complex 18-hole course than just shooting pretty much straight in a boring course (like monster golf). I highly recommend it for those who enjoy mini golf. We lucked out with beautiful weather and I wouldn't come here on a busy weekend. It was so fun!!!

    What's a pirates favorite letter? R!!!!

Staff are great! I had no idea what to expect when we pulled up, but what a fun experience !! Ride a train up to the top of the mountain, and take the course that you were assigned. Very fun course, not too challenging, so great for kids! I love putt putt, so this was a treat!

Bottom Line: A fun course for putters of all ages but a tad pricey. Lost Treasure Golf starts with a cheesy train ride up the hill to the gold and diamond mine, aka the gold course or the diamond course. I am sure kids love this but if being pulled uphill by a tractor isn't your thing then you can take the stairs. Regarding the two course, I've played both fairly recently and overall they are comparable in difficulty and fun. Lost Treasure Golf, which at my house we call Professor Hackers, is a well maintained course. The course supposedly follows the story of Professor Hacker in his quest for treasure in the Outer Banks. We didn't find any treasure but we did get a few holes-in-one along the way and have a good time. This course can be very busy during the prime summer months - slim picking for parking, backups at the holes, etc. Be sure to check Sunny Day and the other tourist magazines for coupons.

Lots of fun! The train wasn't working which was a disappointment but overall it was a fun course with lots of creative holes.

Super cute concept and place. And it also teaches history. But the train ride wasn't working, and we still had to pay full price. Boo!

Nice mini golf course. Well kept and groomed. Train ride was cute to start at "top." Would like a few hazards like windmills.

This was one of the more entertaining mini-golf courses I've been on! We're thinking about going back before we leave!

You have your choice of places down here to go, but I highly suggest coming here. We showed up and found out that there could be up to a 20 minute wait to proceed in line. With the staff telling us that up front, we appreciated that. There wasn't any misleading here. I really enjoyed they told us this and appreciated that. Even though you could tell the employees were uncomfortable having to keep saying it to every customer. What is unique about this is that even though you have to wait, there is a putting green in an area before the course starts. So even though you may not get to start your game as soon as you pay, you can still do a little putting. Then the course starts for you. Even though there area a ton of people, it flows. As the group ahead of you finishes a hole, you start. This happens for each hole. You are constantly moving. You ascend, you descend. You follow the footpath and arrows. The theming here is on point as well. The whole pirate theme is carried through nicely. Especially around the Jolly Roger. The water cannons simulating cannonballs being fired. The multiple waterfalls. Also keep your eyes open for some local history. Throughout the course there are informational plaques. Take a moment to read them. Also available is an arcade. Some items in the gift shop. And ice cream.

There was only 1 Glow Golf in Yelp for Hampton Roads and this one is inside MacArthur mall - 2nd floor, South Side area. Walking in, it's actually hard to find where the main area is, but just keep walking, it's on the right mid-way through. The prices are very reasonable. It's $10 per adult for 3 rounds of the holes. It's best to set your expectation properly when going here. Don't expect to be woo'd in amazement about how intricate or crazy the courses are. It's basically putt-putt in the dark with a few black lights overhead. I'm not trying to down play this but I am trying to set the bar properly. It was a very rainy day and we didn't want to be stuck indoors at home so off to the mall we went. THIS is the advantage of this place. It's basically something to do when it's convenient for you. It all looks pretty cool but the whole place is just eh, not much going for it besides basic wood frames and paint, and the different holes aren't labeled well so it's easy to get out of order. Unless they get more decorations/atmosphere I'll probably stick to other mini golf locations.
