This was a nice mini golf course with good theming. There was a small train that brought you to the top of the course, and you worked your way down as the holes progressed. There were two courses total, which decreased the wait time. There was a decent area of shade along the course, as well as seating. When asked if they sanitize the golf clubs, they said no, which was a disappointment knowing how many kids go through the course. We took a quick trip for some mini golf. Man, it was expensive! If they are 2 and use the plastic club they could go free which helps. It is hot during the summer but it does have some shade to walk through which we definitely needed. Went back this year and we waited in line to get in and start playing for over 30 minutes. Mini golf is $15 per person. Finally got to ride the train and go on the gold course. Sadly, the fun stopped when the train ride ended. The holes were just as boring on the gold course. Whoever owns this place spent ALL their money on decorations, water displays, and the train and none of it on actually making the holes challenging and fun. There was such a back up it took us well over 2 hours to get through 18 holes. We play mini golf every single year we go to the beach and this place is just bottom tier. Love this place!!! We came with our friends and our two kids (one in a stroller and other is a toddler) along with our friends. The train ride was cheesy but cool since we could fit our stroller. First of all it is hard to find any place that we can really use our stroller the whole time but this place we could! We have a baby jogger city deluxe and it fit in the train and we were able to push it along the entire diamond side of the course. The holes are fun and different. They are not just your typical, flat, boring par 3 courses. This place was beautiful with a variety of different challenges. My husband and I always try to play mini golf any time we're on vacation and this one was great. The weather was also gorgeous. We went today on a Wednesday afternoon so it was not crowded at all. The water areas do smell a little but it's not like you're there that long. The prices were a little high but it's a slightly more complex 18-hole course than just shooting pretty much straight in a boring course (like monster golf). I highly recommend it for those who enjoy mini golf. We lucked out with beautiful weather and I wouldn't come here on a busy weekend. It was so fun!!! read more

Bottom Line: A fun course for putters of all ages but a tad pricey. Lost Treasure Golf starts with a cheesy train ride up the hill to the gold and diamond mine, aka the gold course or the diamond course. I am sure kids love this but if being pulled uphill by a tractor isn't your thing then you can take the stairs. Regarding the two course, I've played both fairly recently and overall they are comparable in difficulty and fun. Lost Treasure Golf, which at my house we call Professor Hackers, is a well maintained course. The course supposedly follows the story of Professor Hacker in his quest for treasure in the Outer Banks. We didn't find any treasure but we did get a few holes-in-one along the way and have a good time. This course can be very busy during the prime summer months - slim picking for parking, backups at the holes, etc. Be sure to check Sunny Day and the other tourist magazines for coupons. read more

Off rip, the woman who checks you in, total bitch. Was very rude and short with us for absolutely no reason. Then you ride a little train to the start of the course (very cool), but the young man who opens the gate to let you on was also very rude, he says "4 to a cart", we had a 2 year old sitting on her mothers lap and we asked if another person could ride in that cart technically making it 5 but the baby was on her moms lap. He gives an eye roll shitty "dude.." as a response like we were asking something crazy like an absolute douchebag. The only reason he didn't get absolutely leveled was because we had just paid $16 per person to play mini golf and had excited children. The train conductor was very kind. And other than that the course was beautiful, it was worth the money the train ride was cool. Staff should just be nicer to the people keeping them afloat and giving them business. Oh also their hurricane simulator machine is a scam lol claims 79 mph winds but my hair didn't even move... was $4 and $4 too many. 3 stars because train conductor and course made it worthy. read more

With not much to do at night besides try out the numerous mini golf places in OBX, we decided on this place since it was close to where we were staying and one of the more "higher rated" ones. From the outside it looks quite cool with some of the water features being majestic and clean. However, once you actually start the course, each hole is pretty much exactly the same. Honest review, disappointing. Family of 5 at $16 person, arrived at 9:30. Had to wait for ride on train to course which was a while. The lighting was terrible for at least two holes even for my teens. The lights started flickering, 15 minutes in and the water falls shut off. the holes in caves have zero breeze so stifling. We just did make it to the end in time by two minutes. The people behind us didn't get to finish. Management came to tell them. We all were VERY unimpressed and will not be going back. If you still choose this place to play mini golf, don't go after 8 if you want to enjoy the water falls and better lighting. I don't know how an establishment can ethically run this way. read more

We've been to a lot of putt putt courses, but this one is great! When you pay for your tickets, they determine which course you play on. We were on the gold course, and it was good! The reason for 4/5 stars is many of the holes were lacking a challenge. Out of 18 holes maybe 4 of them offered a challenge (raised hole, ramp, curve, or barriers to the hole) all of the other ones seemed like the hole was straight ahead. My parents really enjoyed it. Every year my husband and I go to the beach we play mini golf and challenge each other. The fun is picking a new course. Waiting in line we met a family who said it is one of the best in town. The unique thing about this is that there are two courses. This allows more people to play at once. Everyone boards a train which takes you to where the courses start. The thing my husband and I found odd is that there is no par for each hole or tee to hit your first shot off of.
