Signage is new and on the bypass road. The pool is around 800 feet or so from the club house. It has nice parking adequate for the size. The lot is well maintained. Using the facility is for members or their guest. I must say guest passes have been a pain. It's been a while since obtaining one. The pool over the years has been improved. There is a toddler splash pool that has a canopy. The main pool offers a diving board. It's not large enough for competition. Restrooms are off deck and very basic. Guards do a good job of maintaining it and are friendly. Typically two guards are on duty, one watches the main pool, then relieves the other on breaks. No outside food or drink is permitted other than bottle water. No glass. You can order from the dining room and the food is solid. Service has been slow when busy, so plan ahead. So now Duck Woods Country Club pool has got some much needed Yelp love. Check into a membership if you enjoy country club life. They also offer two upscale dining rooms, tennis and golf. The locker rooms are very nice and are in the main building.

On top of that, the staff in the pro shop were rude and completely unaccommodating. I chalked it up as a bad day and decided to give the course another shot. This time was somehow worse. The pro shop employee I dealt with was one of the most unfriendly and unprofessional staff members I've encountered at any golf course. I simply asked what the greens were rolling at that day, and his response was, "Doesn't matter, just play the course and figure it out." I was honestly stunned by the attitude. It wasn't joking or lighthearted--it was outright dismissive and rude. Golf courses can have great layouts and decent conditions, but customer service matters. If you're charging people good money to play, basic courtesy should be expected. Two visits, separated by over a year, and the experience with the staff was consistently terrible. If you were the gentlemen working in the pro shop on June 18, 2026 you are simply a douchebag I wouldn't return if the rounds were free. You have your choice of places down here to go, but I highly suggest coming here. We showed up and found out that there could be up to a 20 minute wait to proceed in line. With the staff telling us that up front, we appreciated that. There wasn't any misleading here. I really enjoyed they told us this and appreciated that. Even though you could tell the employees were uncomfortable having to keep saying it to every customer. What is unique about this is that even though you have to wait, there is a putting green in an area before the course starts. So even though you may not get to start your game as soon as you pay, you can still do a little putting. Then the course starts for you. Even though there area a ton of people, it flows. As the group ahead of you finishes a hole, you start. This happens for each hole. You are constantly moving. You ascend, you descend. You follow the footpath and arrows. The theming here is on point as well. The whole pirate theme is carried through nicely. Especially around the Jolly Roger. The water cannons simulating cannonballs being fired. The multiple waterfalls. Also keep your eyes open for some local history. Throughout the course there are informational plaques. Take a moment to read them. Also available is an arcade. Some items in the gift shop. And ice cream.
