This place is clean, warm, and welcoming. The massage table was heated as well. I loved and appreciated Maria. She is experienced and has been doing this for awhile. She asked me about my preferences and if I wanted to do any add-ons, which I opted not to do. She made me feel very comfortable and we had a great conversation during the massage session. She constantly asked about the pressure she was giving me and I was just very glad I booked with her. I recommend IMR. This place feels very clean and professional. Unfortunately, I recently learned that IMR is now charging a 3% surcharge for credit card payments, and I have to say, it really annoys me. In today's world, paying with a credit card is the norm, and accepting those processing fees has traditionally just been part of the cost of doing business. I truly enjoy supporting this business and would much rather continue my membership, but this new surcharge has honestly made me question whether I want to keep it. We did the traditional Thai massage for 60 minutes, in the same room, and the pressure was definitely intense at times. There were certain points where it was painful -- but the good kind of painful, where you can actually feel something releasing. By the end, my back almost felt like it had these tiny vibrations running through it. Hard to explain, but I walked out feeling completely different. And whatever they were doing, they were GOOD at it. This is exactly the kind of massage where I want to feel like they actually worked on my body rather than just lightly rubbing it for an hour. I also remember the price being very reasonable for the quality, especially compared with what you can pay for massages around Vegas. Five stars. I've tried other Thai massages since this one and have basically been chasing this experience ever since. Next time I'm in Vegas, I'm absolutely coming back. It pressed my face so hard into the wooden ply board bed that it actually popped out my contact lens. When I asked for something for my face like a towel to pad it a bit she pulled out a large neck brace sized pillow which propped my head up very high and was uncomfortable in it's own way. I asked for focus on my hands and feet and she barely touched either. Same thing for my fiancé, her requests were ignored as well. She spent the majority of the 90 minutes on my fiancé's legs instead of a full body as expected, and actually massaged her spine which was unexpected. It just didn't seem like the two masseuses were very experienced. All in all it definitely wasn't worth the $350 for 90 minutes. We would have been much better off getting massages at the Aria where we were staying. I guess that's what we get for trying to support a local business and save a couple of bucks.
