While I've shopped at Tanasbourne Town Center more times than…read moreI can count, until Marshall's joined this group of stores in this "strip mall," it was never a destination. Now it is! I love me a Marshall's! Located off the high traffic area of NW 185th and NW Evergreen Parkway, just off of Highway 26, thisis not really a mall or even a strip mall. It's a ginormous parking lot with several cross roads creating clusters of stores. You can't really walk from one area to the next so plan on getting in and out of your car. Drive the entire area so you can see all of the options. There are several big box stores that attract customers - Target, Best Buy, Ethan Allen Furniture, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Office Depot, Michael's Crafts and Old Navy. Plus lots of discount stores - Marshall's, Sierra Trading Post, Nordstrom Rack, Ulta Beauty, and Famous Footware. That's a lot of discount stores! They even have a Petco and one of the few remaining Barnes & Nobles with a Starbucks attached and another Starbucks with a drive through across the street. Smaller stores and services round it out - AT&T Phone store, Sprint, See's Candy, Batteries Plus, Aspen Dental, Wells Fargo Bank, Bank of the West and an Urgent care. Even 2 gas stations. Sprinkled along the perimeter are a plethora of popular fast food restaurants (McDonalds, Jack in the Box, Burger King, Chic-Filet, Shari's', Panda Express, Carl's Jr.). Isn't that crazy? They are all always busy so obviously there is a need. With so many high tech businesses and huge townhome complexes nearby, they know their demographic. I'm not a fast food person so used to visit Thai Orchid for their chicken curry or vermicelli noodle dish. Bummed that they are no longer in business here or at the location on West Burnside. When I shop here, it's usually with a purpose like I need craft supplies at Michael's, athletic wear is on sale at Old Navy or most likely, I need my Marshall's fix! When I worked in the area I would often stop here after work so I could take care of a lot of errands in one general area, fill up on gas and head home on 26.

There is a covered walk so you can mostly stay out of the rain if you want to get a little exercise in with your shopping. Restaurants are mostly closer to TV Highway, though. The only major categories this shopping center are lacking are sporting goods, liquor, and automotive. Ross and Target carry basic fitness essentials and kid bicycles. Hillsboro Liquor and Bi-Mart are nearby and would fill in those categories. Ross, Target, and Safeway are open early to late. Most of the center is open normal retail hours.

I eated the Mio Sushi here quite often and I enjoy some of the other restaurants as well. City Hall is now located here which makes a lot more sense. I think it will be even better once they get the other section finished and revamp the parking lot since it did look pretty ghetto before. I think once the city planners really get more data about events and the flow, things will really improve making events here spectacular.

The place likely held such promise when the economy was better. It's one of those multi-use developments--office space, shops and condos all rolled into one, singular, park-like area. I like the concept. The MAX stops right in the middle of The Round, providing easy transportation to City Center, Hillsboro or Gresham. Sadly, most of the spaces appear to be empty and the only hub of activity is the 24 Hour Fitness. There are big "For Lease" signs hanging from the office buildings and there's a vacant lot where the construction of another was clearly halted abruptly. I work in the area and several of my co-workers have had their cars burglarized in the parking lot. Meth heads are constantly staggering around on the MAX platform. It's kind of sad to see someone's big idea wither away. Perhaps when things are booming again, this place will be full of tenants and happy times.

For me, anyway…read more After living in the area for several years, I continue to peel away the onion and find more and more little neighborhoods and stores just minutes from my house. This shopping center doesn't look like much from the outside, but I've become quite fond of some of the stores. For example, the staff at the AT&T store is friendlier and more helpful than any other branch I've visited. It always strikes me as odd that this center is in Oregon City, because it is on the west side of I-205 on your way to Milwaukie. I'm here at least a couple times a month, primarily for the retail stores (Fisherman's, Michael's and Dollar Tree) and not the restaurants. La Hacienda is OK, but I prefer the options in downtown O.C. or head into Milwaukie.

The long-time strip club was at the I-5 exit and the rest of stores in the area were nothing special, anchored by a rundown K-Mart. As part of the new Nyberg Rivers shopping center, almost the entire area was rebuilt and the K-Mart was one of the first to go, paving the way for new anchor stores, Cabelas, Home Goods, and New Seasons. In this case a rising tide lifts all boats, so most of the other stores in this re-branded shopping center have also improved during the past two years. In the last few months, more restaurants (Veri Bowl Chinese Innovation Kitchen and Sharky's Woodfired Mexican Grill) and nicer shopping options (Mud Bay pet store) continue to open and expand the offerings. In the first few months, the crowds and parking were atrocious, but it seems to have evened out during the last year. Pretty good blend of casual dining and shopping options, but still a strip mall of sorts and not a full blown mall like Bridgeport Shopping Center (exit at the Stars Cabaret).

New Seasons, Cabelas, Michael's, Red Robin, Home Goods, the list goes on. It's really well done with art built in. There are also walking trails and an underground tunnel to Nyberg Woods- the shopping center across the highway. Parking can be a bit of a struggle especially on the weekends or over the holidays- which is my only complaint. It's a really nice addition to Tualatin and has so many great shops and food choices. I'm excited for Cracker Barrel to open in 2018.

Unfortunately, the food quality hasn't kept up with the price point lately. My wife ordered the Bodega Egg & Cheese, and it was disappointing -- the cheese tasted like a basic Kraft single, which really took away from the experience, especially paired with a bagel that didn't elevate it at all. For the price, we expected something more thoughtful and higher quality. The space itself feels like it's still figuring out its identity. "Collective Market" suggests something cohesive, but inside it feels more like a collection of random items -- though to be fair, the wine bottle selection is solid. We love the vibe this place could have, and we really want to keep supporting it. We just hope to see more care and attention go into the food and overall direction -- especially considering how great their sister location, Decadent Creations Bakery, is.

Unfortunately, this food card pod/tiny indoor boutique mall was pretty much dead: half of the carts were closed, and all but one of the shops was shuttered as well. Disappointing, as I'd checked the operating hours of all of the businesses here before arriving, and they were all supposed to be open. I could see this place being a bustling, thriving little community/event space on a nice, warm summer day. Apparently a winter Saturday, even a dry one, isn't worth the time or effort to set up shop. Too bad. It's a great little space, both indoor and outdoor.
