Still, for the past many years I've been frequenting this area for convenience and given the opportunity to also play Pokémon there. (The mall was as rich with Pokestops and Gyms as it was with its prices!) Suddenly, however, all of the Pokemon hotspots have vanished and/or have restricted hours, One less incentive to visit for me! I will stick to the nearby locations with better prices and who encourage visitors with multiple tastes!

The long-time strip club was at the I-5 exit and the rest of stores in the area were nothing special, anchored by a rundown K-Mart. As part of the new Nyberg Rivers shopping center, almost the entire area was rebuilt and the K-Mart was one of the first to go, paving the way for new anchor stores, Cabelas, Home Goods, and New Seasons. In this case a rising tide lifts all boats, so most of the other stores in this re-branded shopping center have also improved during the past two years. In the last few months, more restaurants (Veri Bowl Chinese Innovation Kitchen and Sharky's Woodfired Mexican Grill) and nicer shopping options (Mud Bay pet store) continue to open and expand the offerings. In the first few months, the crowds and parking were atrocious, but it seems to have evened out during the last year. Pretty good blend of casual dining and shopping options, but still a strip mall of sorts and not a full blown mall like Bridgeport Shopping Center (exit at the Stars Cabaret).

New Seasons, Cabelas, Michael's, Red Robin, Home Goods, the list goes on. It's really well done with art built in. There are also walking trails and an underground tunnel to Nyberg Woods- the shopping center across the highway. Parking can be a bit of a struggle especially on the weekends or over the holidays- which is my only complaint. It's a really nice addition to Tualatin and has so many great shops and food choices. I'm excited for Cracker Barrel to open in 2018.

There is a covered walk so you can mostly stay out of the rain if you want to get a little exercise in with your shopping. Restaurants are mostly closer to TV Highway, though. The only major categories this shopping center are lacking are sporting goods, liquor, and automotive. Ross and Target carry basic fitness essentials and kid bicycles. Hillsboro Liquor and Bi-Mart are nearby and would fill in those categories. Ross, Target, and Safeway are open early to late. Most of the center is open normal retail hours.

I eated the Mio Sushi here quite often and I enjoy some of the other restaurants as well. City Hall is now located here which makes a lot more sense. I think it will be even better once they get the other section finished and revamp the parking lot since it did look pretty ghetto before. I think once the city planners really get more data about events and the flow, things will really improve making events here spectacular.

The place likely held such promise when the economy was better. It's one of those multi-use developments--office space, shops and condos all rolled into one, singular, park-like area. I like the concept. The MAX stops right in the middle of The Round, providing easy transportation to City Center, Hillsboro or Gresham. Sadly, most of the spaces appear to be empty and the only hub of activity is the 24 Hour Fitness. There are big "For Lease" signs hanging from the office buildings and there's a vacant lot where the construction of another was clearly halted abruptly. I work in the area and several of my co-workers have had their cars burglarized in the parking lot. Meth heads are constantly staggering around on the MAX platform. It's kind of sad to see someone's big idea wither away. Perhaps when things are booming again, this place will be full of tenants and happy times.

But during a recent visit, I didn't have the best customer experience. The store is geared toward a specific demographic, that I'm outside of, so none of the staff greeted me, no friendly hello or welcome in, but they happily talked to every other customer in the store, which was off putting. So even though I liked many of the items that I saw, I chose not to buy anything. I've been to other White Birch locations and had better experiences.

If you are looking for a gift, or a pick me up for yourself, it's easy to find something here. A fun selection of earrings and jewelry, hand soaps, specialty pantry items for that foodie in your life, pretty dresses, jeans, pillows and throws, candles, cookbooks - it's all there. A little of this and a little of that. The young lady working there the day I visited was so friendly and welcoming. She gave me the genesis of the store in Hillsboro and the decision to open up this second location. she encouraged me to stop back in, especially during the October- December season when there are even more holiday items. This promenade has a lot of the stores I like to frequent: - Cost Plus Market - for kitchen gadgets, serving pieces, pantry items and treats from around the world - Old Navy - to stock up on layering pieces and refresh athletic wear - Hobby Lobby - for seasonal decor and all things for crafting - Nordstrom Rack - when I desire a designer bag in the cheap - Jay's Wide Shoes - for my sneakers - Kohl's - for free Amazon Prime returns and random shopping - Petsmart - for my kitties - Target - for all things Target!! There is plenty of parking, several places to grab a coffee, snack or a meal. The traffic lights make it easy to get in and out. The only thing that would make this promenade better was if they added a Marshall's! It would be over the top!
