I like coming here for my annual eye check ups, everyone is always friendly and the office is clean. They are very efficient , the technician goes all the preliminary tests then the optometrist/ophthalmologist goes over everything with you while doing the final sight tests. I have been seeing Dr. Chiu each time, he's awesome. It's also inside a lenscracter which makes getting new glasses and easy process. They explain what limit your insurance covers and what any additional features will cost. read more

Over the past two years I have seen four different optometrists. Dr Chiu is the first one I feel got my prescription right. He is very knowledgeable and patient. Mayra is also terrific. I wanted both glasses and also contacts for the first time. Dr Chiu and Mayra were so helpful in telling me how contacts work and helping me practice take them in and out. I do NOT recommend this place. I called for a simple shift back to a less expensive Air Optix contact lense prescription that I have always used as opposed to the very expensive Night & Day ones, and they said I would have to pay for another full eye exam to get it, despite my prescription being current (less than a year) and completely fine eye health. I have been taking my daughter to this location for her eye care for years. Although Progressive Eye Care is a little on the expensive side, I have always had efficient and knowledgeable service. However, I was very surprised by the lack of follow through and professionalism displayed by Progressive as I had initially scheduled an online appointment since my daughter was complaining about her eyes. A receptionist called me back, left me a message to call and reschedule, and left the number. I tried calling back several times to no avail. I understand the office may not be open during this COVID19 phase 1, however, there should be someone to answer calls or at least return calls since I left many messages. Very disappointing. Since my daughter is having issues driving because of her eyes, which I see as "Essential", I was forced to make an appointment at a competing eye care store where they were concerned too and would see her immediately. During a Pandemic....we all need to help each other-if you are not seeing patients...fine! but at least answer the phone and call back your customers!! Unacceptable! read more

Beware of Stephanie!!! She is the receptionist and she is a bully. She over speaks you and has the meanest attitude. She acts if she hates her job and that she doesn't want to be there at all. The doctor was very knowledgeable; I have always been told I couldn't wear color contacts due to my astigmatism but he explained that I can depending on the occasion (for example when I do activities vs. operating a vehicle) and found a prescription that was quite close to my regular contacts. The staff was super friendly! It also helps that there is a nice store attached to the office where you can buy lenses - they carry designers too. read more

Stephanie is a TERRIBLE customer service receptionist. She lacks empathy and she could care less for patients. I have COVID and I ran out of contacts so I called to order more. She told me that my prescription is expired and she can't issue me any contacts till I take an exam. I explained my situation and my circumstances that I wouldn't be able to come in for at least a week until I test negative. I begged her to give me a trial week so I don't have to sit here blind until I get better. She could care less!!! She basically told me to get lost. She had zero empathy even when I asked to speak to the manager she laughed at me!!! She said that there wasn't a manager in or doctor that could even talk to me. Even when I started to cry she completely disregarded me. We can all agree that this is a scary time for everybody right now and dealing with people like this who choose to treat others like absolute dirt is absolutely beyond me. Have used Progressive Eye for 4 years and pleased. Appts are easy to book and can usually get an appt within a day or two. No turnover in doctors since I've been a patient. LensCrafters shares space, so convenient when new glasses needed. read more

My 10-year-old son has type one diabetes and the doctor explained to me how the test goes and made me feel confident enough to be able to bring my son in and have his eye exam done with this doctor also (Diabetes effects ur eyes so it's important to have them checked and this will be his first exam) Than you guys for the awesome experience!! read more

The entire staff was great!! I had my appointment with Dr. P Chen. He was fantastic! From start to finish I felt comfortable and taken care of. The equipment seemed to be state of the art. It was certainly more advance from the last time I saw my optometrist in San Francisco, only 2 years ago. After the exam, I was encouraged to go to the lens crafters eyeglass store in the front area. They are two separate businesses in the one shop...I think they are separate, but in the same space. I did not see anything that wowed me in their selection. But I was WOWED by the level of service with the optometrist! As long as I am in Las Vegas, and scheduling my annual exam to have my eyes checked. This will be my spot! And then just take my prescription somewhere else to find glasses I like. Which they make very easy to do with all the needed paperwork to be able to go anywhere! read more

I needed contacts and found this place was less than a mile from my house. This location is in the Boca Park shopping center, next to Panera Bread. Bonus points because they are open until 7pm and they are open weekends! Sayyy what!?! Their flexible hours make me really happy. When I called to make an appt. the girl who answered the phone was beyond friendly and answered all of my questions. I made an appointment for a couple days later. They texted me a day before my appointment and all I needed to do was reply yes to confirm, so cool. On the day of, I arrived a few minutes early to fill out paperwork. The ladies who were working the front counter were very nice and professional. Great customer service. Anyway I met with Dr. Chiu and had my exam and my prescription remains the same, yay! They offered for me to buy the contacts there, but they are a little more expensive than what I pay for them online. Still, they gave me a couple free trial boxes to take home since I was completely out. I will definitely be coming back here for all of my eye care needs. read more

Took my daughter to have her first eye exam and see if she does need glasses. She was checked in quickly and they saw her within 5 minutes from the time we checked in. She was seen by Dr. Chiu, he was very nice and patient with her. When he stepped out with the results, he explained everything clearly to us. Explaining that her eyesight isn't too bad and that she only needs it for seeing the board in class and doesn't need it for reading, playing or anything other activities at this time. I live in Pahrump, but there are no Optometrists here who take my insurance. That being said, the hour drive in to Vegas was absolutely worth it for this office! The Optometrist staff was friendly and not overly stuffy/professional. The young man, Kevin, who does your initial tests was fun and easy to talk to - which made those tests go by very quickly. The Optometrist himself was phenomenal, very informative and friendly. I'll definitely be returning. The Lenscrafters side was just as great. Their staff are VERY friendly and approachable, not a single one had an attitude or acted like they didn't want to be there. Which is a big deal to me. They had a nice selection of frames and my glasses were done in an hour, despite having a mad rush of people all at the same time. Overall, I will absolutely utilize this location again - even considering it's an hours drive from my home! read more

I took my daughter in without an appointment and she was able to be seen quickly, even though they had many other patients. Their efficiency and thoroughness impressed me. My daughter received excellent and competent care from the man who initially checked her eyes to the Doctor. They both listened to our concerns and because of that, my daughter's prescription was accurate. When we went in, I thought my daughter did not have insurance available since she had just gotten them checked last summer elsewhere. My favorite optometrist to date! I had to search for a new one as I finally had vision insurance. I'm happy they have late appointments as I work a 9-5. The location is great. The doctor explains everything and will make sure you leave happy & satisfied with your new prescription. I actually told him the wrong contact lens brand but he was able to see me again and get the correct lenses I was previously using. I definitely recommend this office. For years I went LensCrafters on Lake Mead and Tenaya because that is who takes my insurance. This was my first eye exam at this location and oh what a difference. This location was newer, cleaner and less hectic. Dr. Chen was wonderful. Very thorough and patient. Parking can get a little tough but the options to shop or eat before or after you visit are worth it. read more
