I went to the DMV today to renew my tags and they claimed I had a payment lapse and charged me a…read more$25 fee. This is absurd because I have my old receipt and insurance policy which I paid in full for May 8, 2019 through November 8, 2019 and I had my new coverage from November 8, 2019 through May 8, 2020. The $25 is nothing but because there is a payment lapse in DMV records. I selected and paid for my insurance online and never spoke to a Statefarm agent. Apparently Amy Park is listed as my agent which means she had cut short my policy for a month which resulted in a lapse. Now imagine if I were to get into an accident between October 8, 2019 - November 8, 2019, I would have no coverage. I still don't know how this is possible. I clearly paid in full for a 6 months coverage. I even called statefarm today after I left the DMV and they said I had paid in full on May 8, 2019. Amy Park and her associates better reach out to the DMV and dispute the charges of the lapse and fix my record!
