I had really bad neck pain…read more I've been sent to physical therapy many time in my life. I always go once and never go back. I usually just do the exercises on my own, but then I came here. I've been coming for two months. Mary Stern is awesome. I look forward to my next visits (which is insane if you knew me). She is very smart and knows technics for the spine that very few therapists know (McKenzie method). She cares....and that is the best trait in a heath care professional. She talks through and finds the solution(s). I was hesitant to post this glowing review because I didn't want to let the secret out. Gerry is the other therapist and seems to have similar characteristics (his patients are happy). I truly found my personal therapist for as long as Mary will take me (all future problems). No more one and done. She has me hooked on the process and my neck pain is way better than it was before I met her. Thanks!!!!!!!

I recently completed 5 weeks of physical therapy with Gerry Stern at Boca Raton Physical Therapy…read more I was originally scheduled to have surgery for spinal stenosis. My insurance company required that I go through a course of physical therapy before they would approve the surgery. I was skeptical as to getting any benefit from the PT since I had been through the process many times prior to my past surgeries. After my first visit working with Gerry, I immediately felt a connection. Gerry was knowledgeable, professional and caring and I believed that this process could be successful. And it was because I have reached a level of improvement whereby my quality of life has been dramatically improved. Gerry was the catalyst that enabled me to reach the level of success I have attained. Alan E.

I did a search for Florida Movement Therapy Centers, and this is what their website says: "Specialties: Florida Movement Therapy Centers is recognized as South Florida's leading company in physical, occupational, speech and cognitive therapies specializing in balance and movement disorders." Most physical therapists specialize in orthopedic physical therapy. Most orthopedic problems can be partially or totally fixed/healed through various repetitive motions within a finite period of time. What sets these centers apart from others is that a great majority of their clients have neurological diseases or impairments that can't be cured. Most need ongoing physical, occupational and/or speech therapy, in order to improve their condition and prevent (or slow) the inevitable continuous, steady decline. Unlike most physical therapy businesses, ALL of the therapists at Florida Movement Therapy Centers understand and can treat these various neurological conditions, (multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, cerebral palsy, and more). Everyone who works at Florida Movement Therapy Centers, from the people with doctoral degrees in physical therapy to the interns to the receptionists, all understand the needs of their clients with neurological impairments. They are dedicated to fulfill the needs of their clients and to stop, slow, or reverse the inevitable neurological decline, for as long as possible. If you, or your loved one has an ongoing neurological impairment or disease, I recommend these therapy centers highly! They understand the unique problems of these conditions and are highly dedicated to helping you have a better quality of life, no matter what your current condition may be.

When Alaric was six months old he enjoyed homemade baby foods. After I started introducing him to real food around the age of 10 months he refused almost everything. Everyone would just say "it's a phase", "he will grow out of it", "babies/children are picky eaters", "if he's hungry enough he'll eat", "all he really needs is to drink milk". My motherly intuition told me something was wrong but everybody reassured me that it was fine. He would literally only eat rice, crackers, chips, cookies, and sometimes bacon. Alaric was drinking a half gallon of milk a day. I tried everything to get him to eat. I screamed, I bribed, i begged, I spanked, I offered the iPad, I took away toys, I force feed him, I even bought an online feeding toddlers class. However nothing worked. He would gag or throw up almost every meal. I hit my breaking point and found a Pediatric Feeding Therapist online that offered a free consultation. She was the first person to tell me this is not normal and that I should seek help. I reached out to Taylor and was seen for a consultation. She told me to bring a preferred food and he wouldn't even eat his preferred foods. When we left the consultation my husband looked at me and said "this woman is good if anybody can get him to eat it's going to be her". After 3 months of treatment Alaric now eats anything!!! Mealtimes went from a nightmare to an enjoyable part of my day. 1-Star Review: Very Disorganized and Wasted My Time Hi my…read morename is John Cacciatore I recently went to Gloria Drummond Physical Therapy for an evaluation after my knee surgery, and unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. I was evaluated by a physical therapist named Jorden, who told me I needed therapy three days a week for the next six weeks. She even chose the days and times for me -- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:00 AM -- and walked me to the front desk to have the appointments scheduled. The problem was that no one was at the desk, so she said she would hand the paperwork in and told me to call later to finalize the dates. When I called that afternoon, I was shocked to find out that they only had one single appointment available -- Friday at 11:00 AM -- completely different from what was planned. They had nothing available the following week except for one Wednesday. The scheduling staff kept contradicting themselves, first telling me they must follow the physical therapist's order of "three times a week," yet they could only schedule one appointment. Then they said they could only give me "whatever availability the therapist has each week," which still didn't match what had been arranged. This entire situation wasted my time, delayed my therapy, and put my recovery at risk. When you're recovering from surgery, every day matters -- and this level of disorganization is unacceptable. I'm very frustrated and want others to be aware: be careful choosing this place, because the lack of communication and scheduling problems may absolutely set you back. I normally don't leave negative reviews, but my experience at Gloria Drummond Physical Therapy was extremely disappointing and needs to be shared. After trusting them with my post-surgical recovery, I was met with poor communication, lack of professionalism, and inadequate care. The staff showed very little urgency or concern for my condition, and instead of receiving focused therapy, I often felt ignored and brushed off. What should have been a supportive and therapeutic environment felt rushed and careless. Their lack of proper guidance, follow-up, and treatment consistency made my recovery more frustrating than it needed to be. Patients deserve to feel safe, heard, and properly cared for--especially after surgery--and unfortunately this facility did not provide that. I hope management takes these issues seriously so others don't go through the same experience.

It is a facility which offers rehab therapy in several areas. Tradional physical and occupational therapy which focuses on orthopedics. Cardiac rehabilitation therapy. Diabetes education courses. A sophisticated wound therapy center which includes state of the art medical equipment, and a fascinating section focusing on neurological related therapy mostly for lost stroke patients. It also includes aquatics therapy with a pool and well quality therapists. I have benefited from therapy over an 18 year period. Most of my therapy has been PT, focusing on the cervical and lumbar spine areas, and some OT for a hand injury and several classes in diabetes management. I also benefited greatly when I had aquatic therapy. It was amazing to experience benefits to a long standing arthritic knee m. The physical plant has improved dramatically over the past 28 years. Due to a significant lead contribution from the Elaine J Wold Family Foundation the original "Davis Center" was transformed into the current rehab institution. The facility is large. Spacious. Well lit with a lot of natural light from skylights. High ceilings. Numerous private therapy areas. State of the art equipment which is well maintained, sanitized after each use. And most importantly, the institute is exceedingly well staffed, not just the number of therapists, but the type of training that they have had, and their level of expertise. It is impressive. I read one review where the reviewer focused on the length (number of minutes) of each session and how billing is done. Frankly, i concluded that this reviewer was either delusional of just an angry individual as what they wrote could not be tied back to reality. Therapy sessions vary from 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions. Thus, no one is "cheated" if their session is 30 minutes vs 60 minutes. It is simply a scheduling issue. And often the type of therapy determines the length of the session. And as to billing and misleading tactics, I find this difficult to accept. As part of the process of setting up treatment, insurance coverage is verified. And as a potential patient, you're informed what your "out of pocket" will be. There are no surprises. If you're surprised it likely represents your own confusion and not BRRH deception. This is an outstanding rehab facility. Well maintained. Immaculate. Spacious. Well managed. Good luck with your therapy!
