HIGHLY recommend this PT!!! Allison (the main physical therapist) is great, and so are the rest of the staff here. Really work with you to create a plan and cater to what helps/hurts, each session. Have been going here for about 6 months now for my lower back pain (that I've had for about 2 years), and it's been such tremendous help for my physical ability as well as my confidence back into health. Before going - I never thought I'd be able to get back into all the exercise classes I love, and Allison/his assistant really helped me progress slowly. I still have a long way to rehab, but with each session - I'm able to work a little bit more than the last. I'm only able to go 1-2x a month given insurance, and even then it's been such great help. I have done PT for years. Shattered elbow (2 surgeries), torn calf, impacted tail bone and various pains. For the last 15 years I went to a PT place in Anaheim and saw the main guy. He was great and got me through all these issues. However, I never felt muscle pain after these sessions unless it was right after surgery. Fast forward to today, I had pain in my shoulder. My regular guy was no longer at that PT location so I needed a new one. Found Allison here and he makes me sore. This is a good feeling. If your muscles are not sore after a workout session, then your muscles will not grow to be stronger. I love Allison's workout methods and staying healthy. He fixed my shoulder in 5 sessions and now I have no pain. This pain was caused from me not moving as much as I was. Now that I am moving and lifting again, no more pain. He is my new go to PT guy and I am forever grateful for the soreness I have after his sessions to help make my body function at its best. I have been going to Progressive Therapy for approximately 9 months after ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair due to a sports injury. Everyone here -- from the owner, Kim; the PT assistants, Vivian and Divina; to the front desk ladies, Meryl and Norma -- has a positive attitude and is wonderful to work with. While the atmosphere is easygoing and casual, they are still professional and take your recovery very seriously. My main PT, Alison, has been tailoring a recovery routine specific to my goals of regaining total strength and mobility and ultimately returning to sports. He has been instrumental in my recovery over these past 9 months and even though I just recently had my last session (due to insurance limitations), I have no doubt that I will soon return to the courts with all the exercises and knowledge gained in how to proceed forward on my own. While the facility itself may not be quite as large as say Kaiser, what you get instead is a great staff that provides exceptional patient-focused care who genuinely listen to your concerns and provide tailored rehabilitation accordingly. I was lucky with my cancer treatment, in that I have few side effects from chemo and radiation, mainly some neuropathy in my feet and fluid in my lymphatic tissue. I was referred here by one of my oncologists, and I am so glad I came. First off, they are really knowledgeable about potential side effects from treatment. They are looking out for side effects that my oncologists are not even checking. They are also working hard to try and help me out where I need it most, even if there is not a lot of good literature about what is most effective. For me, a good provider - doctor, nurse, therapist - is knowledgeable, really cares about the patients, and takes the time to evaluate each case and is able to communicate at the level of the patient. Came here for the first time today and I saw Alison DPT! I've been having some chronic intermittent back issues for the past 10 years due to my mild scoliosis. It flared up recently when I was lifting so I wanted to get checked out by a physical therapist. Alison was super friendly and professional! He did a super thorough evaluation on my back issues and also was super educational! I learned so much about my back and how it all connected to all the issues I was having. He then taught me some exercises and stretches which were super helpful! He also helped find the exact issue that was bothering my back. The whole office was also incredibly sweet! Melissa was the PT aide was super nice and friendly. Merryl was at the front desk and she was also nice. It can be a little hard to find but it's in the garden grove medical arts building on the 6th floor and it's the first door on the right when you turn right ! read more

I reviewed these Progressive and Adam previously at their old location. It's the same staff, they are simply at a new address so the previous reviews didn't follow them. I spent from May until December last year working with Adam. He took great care of me, especially since I'd already had three previous back surgeries I was a bit nervous going in to build things back up without causing any additional issues. His was by far the best treatment (and overall experience) that I had in working with different three different companies and multiple therapists over six years. If I ever needed any further therapy for my back I would return to Progressive and Adam in a heartbeat. *Here's my original review from their old location that was written while I was still being treated there last year: I'm currently working with Adam to recover from my 4th back surgery and get finally back to normal. I previously had used a couple different physical therapy offices both prior to and post surgery(s). I switched because the first one that I'd used actually contributed to my needing surgery number three. After that surgery I'd gone to a second place, who were fine, but a bit inconvenient to get to. So, after my most recent surgery, I decided to explore the many options listed on my insurance company site. I choose Progressive based on a number of factors. Positive reviews and an informative website being the deciding factors for me. After meeting with Adam, getting an initial evaluation, and having a discussion about my history. I decided they were a good choice for me. I've been going twice a week for a couple months now and that decision has proven to be the right one. I'm seeing definite improvement in my strength and conditioning. And my stamina has shown marked improvement as my fatigue recedes. Adam has taken a very measured and careful approach, adding exercises and difficulties each time and taking a lot of feedback from me to make sure that we increase the challenges, but without the risk of damaging anything. I'm very pleased with everyone there. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable folks who really care about your recovery and progress. I was sent here to address my lymphedema. Kim Marshall was hands on & had me talk to another patient to help me get a better understanding of limphedema & lymphedema. Compression wrapping was done one leg at a time until the reduction of leg size plateaued. This was done 3x a week. It made walking a bit awkward as my wrapped leg had a flip flop while my other foot a tennis shoe. I was & still am amazed at the knowledge shared with me and how much my legs changed in shape! My leg actually has definition & no longer looks like a tree trunk. Staff is helpful. Aides assit you as needed while you exercise. Kim also was teaching an intern while I was there. My daughter has dislocated her knee for the 3rd time in 3 years due to a congenital issue she was born with and is now being forced to do surgery a lot sooner than we had hoped for (she is about to turn 15 and was hoping to wait until at least 21) due to it being her 3rd dislocation in such a short period of time. The last Physical Therapy office we went to for her 2nd dislocation was a much bigger practice and many people coming through. They didn't spend much time speaking with us to get much of a background and everything was rushed. That is the exact opposite with this place. They are somewhat smaller than a lot of other Physical Therapy offices, but I thinks this works to the patients advantage a lot more. They really took the time to get a good history from the patient instead of just what was sent over by the doctor's office, which can make a world of difference for the patient and their recovery. The physical therapist Alison there is amazing and the front office staff are as sweet and helpful as can be. Just an FYI to anyone who goes, the building is right next to Garden Grove Hospital and even though you see in the parking lot that it says you have to pay for parking, you do not have to do that any longer. read more

Progressive is the best physical therapy facility that I have ever been to and I have been to some good places. Everyone there is professional and works hard to make sure you are directed the whole time you are working on your recovery, making sure you are comfortable while pushing your limits. Alison, my therapist is invested in his patient's recovery. He constantly monitors your progress, making adjustments to your program to keep you progressing to reach the highest goal possible. He and the PT aides watch carefully and constantly to make sure you are doing your exercises correctly. Alison gives you all the time you need at each and every visit. The office is tucked inside, right next to a small stream in the complex. On the 4 times I went the crowd was mainly seniors. The office itself is unassuming but well kept. I have been to some real fancy state of the art rehabs, this review was not based on visual appearances, but rather quality of care. The staff is very friendly and i worked directly with Kim whom was very knowledgeable with her dealings with my particular situation. i am very glad i came and i thanks to all the team, from the friendly front desk, to the therapists and all involved that keep this little shop running so smoothly with quality care. read more

I highly recommend this facility for any of your Physical therapy needs. I simply chose this location based on the other reviews even though it was a good 25-30 min drive from my house but I'm happy to report it lived up to its expectations so now I'm writing my own review. I was originally going to another location altogether a few months ago after my bunion surgery to help get mobility back in my toe but after a couple sessions, I was disappointed in the lack of attention any of the therapists gave me in making corrections to my exercises. I was left to do them on my own until I needed heating/icing. That might work for some people, but what good is therapy if you're doing exercises and don't know if they are being done as intended. That's when I met Adam at progressive physical therapy. He was assigned to me and worked with me one on one. Even if he occasionally had other patients at the same time, he continually watched, guided me, and corrected me. He had a great assistant Melissa who was there at each session to keep me on track and help give direction when necessary. He knows his stuff, he was very creative in designing exercises that would further my mobility and most importantly, he listened to my needs which focused on the areas I wanted to improve on with my foot. Overall, I was always greeted upon my arrival by everyone, they were always were ready for me when I walked in, I appreciated they were flexible in booking me around my work schedule so that made it convenient whether I needed to come late after 5 pm or early in the day. They made sure to follow up at each visit with how my treatments were progressing on my own and he often added and changed many of the exercises based on that. I'm happy with the end result, I got exactly the mobility I needed so I no longer go but if I ever have another surgery or need therapy, this will be my go to place. The care I received here was top-notch! They're located on the 6th floor of a high-rise medical building in Garden Grove. Nice views. Large space. Restroom inside suite. Slightly padded floors. Never overcrowded. Open Mon/Wed/Fri. Easy to get a hold of. Great follow-up. Great conversation. I've been to many physical therapists... but none as great as Adam Nadler. He and the staff at Progressive helped me recover through two shoulder surgeries last year, all while somehow making it enjoyable. Each of my visits began with electrical stimulation and heat, followed by manual manipulation/massage, stretches/exercises, and ending with ice. During my time there, Adam was always educating himself on current modalities and assistive devices... which is very comforting from a patient's perspective. They always have HGTV on one TV and a game on the other, but if there is something you'd like to watch, they're more than happy to change the channel. If you don't have weights or sticks for at-home exercises, they'll share plenty of creative alternatives that everyone has at home so you can save some $$$. The only negative is that they don't have pictures/instruction print-outs for most shoulder exercises. This made it difficult for me to not only remember the names of my exercises, but how to do them properly as well. You'll be instructed to write down the names of your stretches/exercises after each visit, but I'd take that a step further by writing detailed instructions on each. Search the internet for images to print out. I couldn't find many still-images showing the movements though. Other than that, I always left feeling much better than when I arrived, and THAT is what matters most. Not to jinx it or anything, but I low-key can't wait to need physical therapy again. I was referred here by my breast cancer surgeon ! Dr. Kimberly is fantastic !!! The office is now in garden grove . If you are in recovery this is the place to visit . I've made so much progress even in just three visits. I was fully on the mend by 8 visits !! It was so great to have arm and shoulder mobility again . Plus , I appreciated that Dr. Kimberly took time to show me charts of the various muscles affected by my procedures and explained my various spots of pain . I tied my formal PT with facia massages ( outside my insurance not formal PT ) and my life took a positive turn after a year of being scared , and in constant pain . My daughter was having knee problems a few years ago and we went to Adam Nadler at Progressive for help. Adam is very knowledgable on the mechanics of the body and he set her on the right course to improve her knees without surgery. When I started to have back problems I decided to give them another try. They have since moved from GG to Orange but that did not deter me since I knew they produced results. After a number of twice a week sessions Adam and Dinah put me on a path to not only be pain free but gave me a program I can continue at home. I have had a total shoulder and a total knee, I have had Kim and Adam work on me. I have seen several other therapist's in the Orange County area but none can compare to Progressive PT. The staff, including front office, aids, anyone who comes in to work there are all knowledgeable, friendly, and they feel what you are going through. You become a family when you are at Progressive. Everyone knows you, you know them and your knee or shoulder belongs to Kim. When your hurt, she hurts. I was very lucky to find Prog. PT. If I was still living in CA I would definitely go back, and I may have to live there when my other knee is done and have Kim get me through the first 6 weeks of therapy. Three years ago I went to Kim to rehab my replacement knee and was extremely pleased. It was a great experience. Everyone is talkative and friendly, it makes the time go fast. I have been to other PT offices and they are too busy talking to each other, I felt ignored. This doesn't happen at Progressive. I feel more confident talking to Kim about my other knee than my doctor. I had unsuccessful meniscus surgery a few months ago on my other knee. It was getting more and more painful, within 1 1/2 weeks Kim has reduced the pain significantly to postpone knee replacement surgery. When I did get it replaced it was the same welcoming place as before to do my rehab. Five stars to Progressive! read more
