    First appt. After knee replacement!

I have been seeing Dr. Chambers for some time now. He's done a few surgeries for us and each time the experience has been great. His attention to detail sets him apart from any other doctor I've worked with. Not only did he make sure I was informed about what was happening and comfortable but he also informed my family and made sure they knew exactly what was going on. While most Doctor's rush you out of the office, he listens to your concerns and really values you as a patient. His office is always clean, his staff always courteous. They provide high quality care. I have recently gotten a knee replacement and I can confidently say this experience has been easier than most, largely due to Dr. Chambers and his team. Thank you so much for all that you do! If you're lucky enough to be able to work with Dr. Chambers, you'll never go anywhere else!

Today, this exact day marks 3 years since my fibula surgery. Happy 3 year anniversary to my 6 screwed, 2 pin, 1 tightrope, terminator of a leg. I wanted to wait a little bit to give an honest review post the journey of healing. Verdict is, 10 stars to Dr. Chambers and his team if I could. Can I give this Doc and his team a few more stars? They're awesome! Dr. Chambers is very nice and his bedside manner could not make you anymore comfortable. He's very professional but I almost felt like I was talking to a friend. He also has a GREAT team behind him. Kirk, his x-ray tech does extremely thorough scans, His PA, Adam Baker is informative, answers any questions/concerns, and always gives you a detailed timeline for each appointment. Linda, who works front desk has ALWAYS been a great help with scheduling, processing paper work and administrative questions. My previous primary care doctor urged me to see a different surgeon and denied my request to be transferred to Dr. Chambers. I really wanted to see Dr. Chambers after hearing about someone else's experience. I called and Linda swooped in, talked to my insurance, helped my transfer request get approved at almost 5 in the evening and I was in Dr. Chambers's office the next morning. I came in because I injured myself while hiking. After scans and consultation, I was notified that I would be needing surgery. I had broken my fibula. He scheduled me for surgery, I was in within 3 days, he put my leg together and I was on my way! I really wanted to see Dr. Chambers was because many people had referred me to him. All I heard was how detailed he is and how his surgeries are known to have minimal scarring! If you're not queasy, my photos prove that is true. His medical staff that helped me get casted, splinted and cast removed are also all very, nice and gentle. I had to come back in because I re-injured my newly recovered leg. Luckily it was nothing too serious and everyone was happy to help me with any of my concerns. I have full range of motion and my leg is fully weight bearing. I get the occasional swelling after long day of physical activity but that is to be expected. I do want to mention, in my 30 years of life, I've only received compassionate medical care twice in my life and Dr. Chambers makes the cut. I he and the staff went above and beyond for me. I really can't say thank you enough, as I am back on my feet, completely feeling back to normal and put together. I can't say I wish to see everyone again, but if I ever need an orthopedist/orthopedic surgeon, I know exactly where to go! I highly recommend Dr. Chambers for any of your orthopedic needs!

    Big Ganglion!!!

Unfortunately, I had a large ganglion cyst on my right wrist that had grown so large that it was awkward, raised questions, and was borderline unwieldy. Plus, it was starting to hurt. Attached is a photo... look at that whopper!!! Once I made the decision it had to be completely removed (I had the fluid drained out about one year ago but it grew back), I contacted Dr. Chamber's office and they set me up right away for a preop with Dr. Chambers and Adam, his PA. Dr. Chambers and Adam were great and spent all the time answering my questions regarding general anesthesia and the surgical procedure. Shortly thereafter I was scheduled at La Veta Surgery Center. La Veta was extremely professional as well, and both outfits observed all proper COVID precautions. Dr. Chambers came out and talked to me before the surgery and again assured me that it would all go smoothly. Unlike some doctors I have come across, Dr. Chambers is extremely friendly, down to earth, and easy to talk to. The surgery went great!!! I actually found out that I had a nerve that was straddling the ganglion cyst which was likely what was causing the pain. Dr. Chambers strategically removed the cyst without disrupting the nerve in any way, and now I have my old wrist back. The recovery has been a breeze and the post-op is coming up. A+ for Dr. Chambers and Adam at Coastline Orthopaedic!!!

After one week. I seem to be doing very well. My surgery was 11/18 today is 1/08 and according to my physical therapist I'm progressing very well. I'll add a final review once I'm done with all of my therapy sessions.

As a medical professional myself, the problem here begins with a myriad of issues but I'll touch on a few - incorrect scheduling, consistent double-booking, extremely long wait times (1.5 hrs at minimum), and overall inaccuracy and inefficiency of staff. My fiance was in a terrible accident and we were referred by insurance to this facility. For starters, entrance is TERRIBLE for an orthopedic office. My fiance was in a wheelchair and it was a horrendous experience everytime trying to get him into the office itself and in between the narrow spaces of each door. BTW, no one helps to get the door or even seems concerned lol so I had to bring my own door stopper for each visit. We have visited this office about 3 times and EACH time there is over an HOUR TO TWO HOUR WAIT for patients to be seen. Keep in mind, when we first visited my fiance COULD NOT WALK and was extremely uncomfortable to be waiting for 2 hours!!! Additionally, we would get calls confirming an appointment, show up for front office to say that there isn't one! We would wait about 2 hours to be seen, once in the room would wait ANOTHER hour to see the dr and btw it's just the PA that sees you for all follow ups. Overall, this place has terrible scheduling issues that borderlines negligent patient care but hey - just double book the doctor and hope some patients no-show for the sake of collecting insurance money right? Terrible facility for these reasons. Save yourself and your loved one the trouble please.

Now you can only see a PA unless you agree to have surgery. Only then will the doctor see you. The PA a few days ago gave me two injections what was supposed to be cortisone. One was Dr Kelly colleague in Anaheim. He said to get Dr Kelly call the office and tell them you need to see Dr Kelly about a surgery he did. It was over a month for a appt with Dr Kelly as a returning patient. I arrived at 11 am and was left in a exam room for 2 hours. I saw them turn away a patient for being 10 min late when I arrived and there was no one waiting in the huge room. A PA pops in the room says he will be seeing me today and just let him wrap up his lunch. I'm so mad but figure it's not the PA fault. The PA says your leg isn't straight but your knee looks good to me I can offer cortisone shots or a brace. I said I'm back because a Dr In Anaheim said to see Dr Kelly if I'm having problems that's who I want to see. The PA says every doctor in this office will agree with me you don't need to have another surgery. I've given you options you don't want. I was so insulted I just waited time making appts, driving an hour, waiting for a PA on lunch. The Dr who operated doesn't care about you he care about seeing new patients. 7/2020 I broke my wrist almost the same day I break my leg in 2014. I was afraid I'd get Dr Kelly so I changed insurance, changed primary Dr, waited 3 weeks and im referred back to Platinum Medical aka Dr Kelly.!!!!!!! My new primary Dr doesn't seem to think I should be so picky. Was not willing to send another request for different ortho because he said they are all in the same office. I contacted ER and Urgent care and they can do my exrays & casts. I need to bring cast supplies or use ace bandages they have on hand. I'd rather drive 5 minutes to the ER wait hours to get a cast vs drive 1 hr, wait 1 hour and probably not see a Dr in Dr Kelly office then drive 1 hour home.
