I highly recommend Project Management Academy (PMA) Boot Camp and the excellent and expert instruction of Joe Drammissi. Thanks in large part to this training, I passed the PMP Exam on my first attempt 8/19/2015. Looking at my whole training cycle, I began studying with the four days of PMA Boot Camp in Sacramento 7/27 - 7/30/2015. I had to work full time 7/31 - 8/13 so I could only study PMP a few hours each night in that interval. Then I knuckled down for five full days of focused self-study, practice 8/14 - 8/18. Those days included PMA timed tests, researching every question I missed, and PMA's online Q&A drills within the knowledge areas and process groups where I was scoring the lowest. I also asked for clarification from tutoring@projectmanagementacademy.com on a few "Correct" answers given in the practice exams that I did not understand. I completed all four practice tests at the same time as the real exam was scheduled, to get myself used to staying focused for that long, and at that time of day. I also kept modifying my clothes, eyeglasses, earplugs, and nutrition to closely simulate my plans for the real test day. I am certain the PMA Boot Camp gave me the core framework and study tools I needed to succeed on the first attempt. I'll take credit for the hard work I did to hit this goal, but it would have taken me much longer, and probably more than one test attempt if I had not had PMA's expert guidance. read more

I took the PMP Boot Camp class in September, 2017 with Roxanne Booth as the instructor. I had taken some project management classes previously and was intent on getting my PMP certification by passing the exam. I had read the PMBOK but didn't really "get it" on how all of the process groups and knowledge areas worked together to form a cohesive system. The 4-day classes really explained the project management framework and how it all fits together in a logical sense to truly understand the information instead of just memorizing facts to pass the test. I ended up passing the PMP exam on my first try a few weeks later. I really feel that this class was instrumental in me passing the test. Roxanne was an awesome instructor and did a great job explaining the material while keeping the class engaged and entertained. I recommend against taking a PMP prep class that spans several weeks or months, and take the boot camp approach to focus on it in a few days. It's a much better way to go and definitely helps get you ready for the exam. Project Management Academy also gives you plenty of extra resources after the class to help with test prep, such as full timed exams, video training, access to PM advisors and more. I never thought taking this boot camp (October 2017) would be so instrumental in me understanding the structures and process flow of Project Management. In the past 15 years I have taken numerous courses trying to "get it "and always fell asleep looking at those gray pages (reminds me of the weather in Europe). Roxanne opened a new world to me and gave me the courage to finally take this PMP exam to imprint my commitment and love for this amazing career called Project Management. The PMP really tests your comprehension and with English being my second language it was always going to be a challenge. The Project Management Academy's syllabus is so Real and Thorough, and I am proof of that. I honestly never opened the PMBOK book other than to reference questions I had. I would recommend PMA to anyone out there, anyone who are serious to pass the PMP exam and to take your career to the next level. 5 stars to PMA and 6 to Roxanne. I attended the Project Management Academy's PMP Boot camp in late January of 2015. I have nothing but great things to say about the course, the online tools, and the instructor, Jim Park. The course was fast paced and focused, and I found it to be extremely helpful in identifying the specific areas that I personally needed more development in. Jim is a great instructor with real world experience, and a teaching style that is easy to follow and polished. The online portal offered by the Project Management Academy allows you to take as many practice tests as you want, and enables you to get used to the type of questions and wording that you can expect on the actual test (though the test was harder). I had my PMP exam scheduled the same week as the 4 day course, and was able to pass with marks of proficient in all categories. I'd recommend this course, especially with Jim as the instructor, to anyone committed to passing the PMP exam on their first try. read more

I completed a two weekend PMP exam preparation training course conducted by Scott Rudowski. The course covered everything comprehensively so that one could understand what it takes to pass the PMP exam. Scott was able to break down complex concepts so that they were easy to understand. Scott was also able to show how the enormous amount of information presented would tie together and function as a whole for managing projects. He also provided cleaver mnemonics to remember large strings of information that would otherwise be tedious to try to keep straight let alone in my memory. His calm demeanor set a positive tone for the entire 4 day training. Finally at the end of the class, Scott provided us with a game plan for studying and preparing for the PMP exam. I followed all of his recommendations and I passed on my first try. I would highly recommend signing up for Scott's class if you are considering a PMP exam preparatory class. read more

What a great program, the material is concise, logical, and understandable. I had a great instructor, Michael Steele, who guided us through the boot camp ensuring we focused on key principals and areas of the PMBOK and project management practices. He answered questions to ensure understanding yet kept the class on track to get through all the material, practice taking the exam, and stayed after class to answer questions and give more practice questions. The strategy guide that supplemented the core curriculum was a life saver in the pressure cooker that is the PMP exam, I felt that it made the most difference in answering correctly the questions that were confusing. This boot camp is fast paced, but if your follow their studying strategy you will be confident taking and passing the PMP. I passed on the first attempt and know that without this course I wouldn't have been in the PMI frame of mind to answer correctly. Thank you! read more

After doing months of research on different PMP/CAPM classes, I decided to go with Project Management Academy- so glad I did. From creating my online account with them, to payment, all the way to navigating through the (VERY helpful) material they provided online, everything was a breeze. I ended up doing the weekend classes (March 2&3, 9&10) and my instructor was Scott Rudowski. We had 7 students in the class-all of us from very different backgrounds, but Scott managed to make us all feel very comfortable, with his unique approach. He explained the material very, very well, made the class enjoyable and made sure to use lots of real-life examples, so we fully grasp everything. The whole class was very engaged throughout the course and we were all comfortable with asking questions, thanks to our awesome instructor! I took the PMP boot camp in Sacramento the week of May 15th, 2017. I can't recommend one of these boot camps enough. The knowledge, printed materials/handouts and insight provided was invaluable. The laminated knowledge cards were incredibly helpful, as I kept them on-hand for easy studying whenever I had a few brief moments of study time. I avoided studying for and taking the PMP for years because I knew there was so much material to learn and I didn't know where to begin. The course gave me all the direction I needed to create and organize my study plan of attack. My instructor, Roxanne Booth, was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, professional and funny; she made the course very enjoyable and easy to follow. Roxanne provided endless test tips that were instrumental for me to pass the test on the first try! In my opinion, a PMP boot camp from PMA is the best route to success. read more

My particular session had a fairly small class, but I believe that made it much easier to have quality interactions with the other attendees and our instructor, which of course bode well for learning. I took the PMA Exam Prep Course at the end of February 2018 with Roxanne Booth as my instructor. I took and passed the exam, above target, on my first try about two weeks after the end of the course. In addition to the course and in class practice exam, I took four practice exams and numerous quizzes, and I used the other resources on the website. During the test, I was able to recall Roxanne's words of wisdom, imagine the diagrams she drew, visualize the slides and handouts. The material and content for this course was clear, comprehensive, and easy to remember. They laid out the processes logically and made connections between the inputs, outputs, and tools & techniques. I enjoyed the course. I attended the PMP Boot Camp in Sacramento, CA for the dates of 04/08/19 to 04/11/2019 with Mike Ikona. The experience was great and I highly recommended to anyone who is thinking about taking their test for PMP. Mr. Ikona is a great instructor and made things easy to understand and also very gave great real world example to really bring to life the material. This made it easier to remember for me. Mr. Ikona was dedicated to this class from the beginning to end making sure he went to great lengths to make sure that this group understood the material. I took the Project Management Academy PMP training course in July 2017. I must admit I was worried about sitting and listening for 4 full days, but Roxanne made the entire experience painless and actually quite enjoyable. I was engaged the entire time and learned a lot. I know I retained much of the information too - although I didn't pick my materials back up until rather recently for studying, I found myself still repeating helpful tips and tricks that Roxanne pointed out in class. And I passed my exam today on my first try! Also helpful in preparing for and passing my exam were the extra resources that were provided through Project Management Academy after the course. I Completed the PMP Boot Camp 2 weeks ago taught by Dr. Mike Ikona in Sacramento (8/19/19- 8/22/19). Mike was an awesome instructor who has decades of experience in project management that he used daily in his teachings. I am taking my PMP exam tomorrow and I am sure I will be ready after his course. Also, after the class ended, he needed to drive 6 hours home to make a 6 am online class he was teaching, but he stayed behind to give me pointers on a project powerpoint I was working on. I may try and get into one of his Project Management Academy Agile classes in the next couple of months as he was such a great instructor. Great teacher and great products from PMA, highly recommend! I put the exam off for almost 20 years, and recently took, passed and excelled on the exam! My advice to anyone thinking about taking the exam is to enroll in the PMP Bootcamp offered by the Project Management Academy. I was provided with the tools needed to prepare for the exam. In addition, my instructor (Roxanne Booth) also provided "real world" tips based on her own experience as a project manager. She was careful to point out these best practices were not testable, rather additional information she imparted to help her students be the best project managers possible. In preparation for the PMP exam, I signed up for Project Management Academy's boot camp in November 2017. Immediately after registering, access was given to an online portal full of extra resources. The impressive information included online videos, questions & answer sections, flashcards, timed exams, etc. I had used these materials to my advantage in the months leading up to the boot camp, which I believe enhanced my in class experience. I attended the Project Management Academy's PMP Prep course in September 2017 and the class prepared me for the exam in four short days. Roxanne Booth is a fantastic instructor and all the pointers, tips and notes she provided during the class were spot on and really helped me during the test. I participated in PMP/CAPM training at the Hampton Inn & Suites with Scott Rudowski. I cannot say enough about this experience. Scott was great, kept the learning fresh and relevant. The tools and resources that PMA provides for Boot Camp is wonderful. I will be able to use this information again when I go for my PMP. The location was clean and comfortable, no distractions and the group was small so we developed a great relationship together. I did the two weekends for Boot Camp and while it took a lot due to working in between, I am glad I did. I took classes 3/2 & 3 and 3/9 & 10 and sat for CAPM 3/25 and passed above target.
